So I totally did not like the first attempt, I just had to scrape it, and I am so HAPPY I did.. I LOVE the final results!

Your paintings are all awesome and i especially like them because you do not mumble or have dogs barking in the background or talk about things unrelated to the tutorial , you just get down to business and for the first time i can actually watch your entire videos. I wish that everyone who makes these videos was like you - no nonsense. This particular painting is very beautiful.

I've started scraping all that leftover paint after a scrape off into a cup and using as background colours on other pours ... it's usually awesome because they are so light with all that white....its nice to know it didn't go to waste :-)

I felt exactly the same way, love the purple and magenta, the teal was originally flat, gold I can hardly see?

You should put all that scraped paint into a container, pour it into one of your bottles and use it as a 'self created' colour in a swipe or whatever! Then there's no waste. Gorgeous art.

Oh wow Kanella. I liked the color choices on the first one and thought that is going to turn out gorgeous... then you blew it out and I was like uhh that's not what I was envisioning at all lol. Why oh why teal must you not play well with others... the second one is absolutely amazing. Love that sapphire blue.

Such beautiful colours, both the golden and decoart, you just need a new golden to go with the teal as that really is pretty. It’s a great piece well done. I have to say I saw a long nosed sea dragon before I saw your little man, now that’s all I see.

Oh Kanella, I was cringing when you scraped but what a beautiful painting you created after! Now I have to go buy Deco art Sapphire lol! I love Golden paints, the quality and intensity of the color is hard to beat. I’ve read through the comments and see that you now know you could have used less. If you have the extra bottles, divide each color that you’ve mixed between 3-4 bottles and fill with floetrol. You’ll have the same brilliant color and it’ll go a lot farther, taking the shock out of the sticker price. Also, I too saw another face in the white area!
Wow the blue DecoArt Metallics is fantastic. I use the gold and silver but may now have to source some of the other colours. Gorgeous result.

LOVE Deco Art Dark Sapphire...the regular Sapphire is pretty too. I cannot get those paints in the big jars at local stores - they only have the little 2 oz bottles. Agree with the other commenters about the ratio floetrol/paint with the Level III paints. You can use WAY less paint to floetrol with those heavy body paints. SO PRETTY!! 🎉👍❤️

I think the tip of the blow dryer wanted a shout out or thank you for helping you with the paintings and while your at it thank the blow dryer, just in case it wants to fall on the painting. Keep up with the wonderful and beautiful work.
You should do 1/4 circles at both sides of the canvas. One in a top corner and one on the lower corner. Then blow to the center. I bet that would look like two flowers when it's done.

With the level 3 paints I find if you mix the 1 part paint to 2 parts pouring medium (I use liquitex gloss varnish and medium-olive green bottle) mix well and then add your normal floetrol you get all the color with alot less paint use.
I’ve noticed that the teaL In other brands, not always called teal, but much the same colour,, tends to stay in blotches too. It’s such a gorgeous colour but a bit hard to work with. I love, love the richness of colours in both, but your second one blew me away! I live in Oakville, so I’m hoping to be able to come to one of your classes. We’re snowbirds in Florida now, but coming home in April.

Yeah...scraping the first time was a good move. Even your blow dryer was trying to warn you...throwing itself onto the canvas was it’s way of telling you that teal was a terrible mistake. 😂 The teal is not a bad color...just wasn’t right for this composition. Love the second look! 💜💙
I liked both of them! I love the squiggly design too. I only buy Golden paints in colors I cannot find in other brands.

The colors are great together. US prices for Golden are not nearly as high as they are for you. I have to take a break from videos for a week, hubby goes in for a 2 step major surgery today. Gorgeous!!! I wonder what would it look like if you had another canvas and laid it upside down over the first one? It would use up some of the paint you scraped off and you might have made a new pour that you loved and you might have a pour to do over.

The colors are so stunning! Love it! And for your blow dryer...I use foil tape since it's heat resistant. I actually just created a nozzle out of it because mine didn't come with one. Keep up the great work!

Ooohhhh.....you can use much less of the golden paint since it so much more pigmented. I love their Quinacridone Magenta! SOOO lucious!
Denise Boyer yes I was going to say that too! I actually called Golden’s product information desk and they said that we can use their paints 9:1 pm:paint! So it’s not actually more expensive when you mix it the way they suggest. They did say that if you mix it with floetrol they don’t know how it will go because they don’t test their paint with outside products. But I’ve been it for a couple years now and they’re fine! Golden’s teal is soo gorgeous 🥰
