I know you wasn't trying to vulgar, but the 12 year old in me still snicked at "The ball wear on her legs" I've really enjoyed seeing the progress on this one.
Great repair, nice waxed legs ;-) One thing I hope you might consider is changing the apron back. What might be possible is sand the original apron, paint it and then make a decal for the print with a silhouette. It's a nice machine and with the amount of repairs you do, well worth the investment.
Thanks for sharing, really takes me back to my days as a tech in this industry, my first ever pintable was a Bally Kiss , then Space Invaders and finally Miss Pac-Man, my kids were the envy of the neighborhood and always had friends queuing up outside our garage
Love this machine! I think the maroon apron looks a bit better since the whole outside edge of the play field is red, but that’s just my opinion. The black works too cause it’s a neutral color.
The music sounded era appropriate as you were taking parts off the gameboard-lol. I agree the gameboard does look fantastic given the age and it seemingly wasn't played heavily. I'm with you about the legs. I didn't know magic eraser was a type of sandpaper. I learned something new-lol. You've done a job on this!
It's a type of foam that's really tiny so it works like sandpaper but it doesn't really have sand in it. It will 'sand' down anything you put it on though, be careful! If you use it on chrome it'll make it dull.
I want to thank you for your videos....I had a few pinballs way back and couldn't fix them so I end it up selling them but since I watched your videos I was motivated to buy one....lol.... I am so excited cant wait to refurbish it up....thanks again.....I bought Kings of Steel.
To clarify, Magic Eraser is a detergent-impregnated water-soluble foam product in the shape of a sponge. Just add water, scrub, and voila! That bgm in this video was sweet.
Coming together really well..... considering the shape it was in I’m impressed pretty much everything other than the drop targets resetting worked first go. No creative editing?
Nope no creative editing, it fired right up! The drop targets worked too, they don't reset until the start of the game apparently! A lot of time that's the case though, we just did a couple Williams machines and they were the same, all the solenoids were still working. These things usually 'want' to work, they just need a little help.
Great job bringing this baby back to life! Looks sooooo good. What does a machine like this even go for after you've done all you did to it. I mean the time spent on this video alone, I can't imagine the hours overall that were put into this one machine. Amazing how great u got it to look though. You do a great job my man. The art on this is way ahead of it's time too , like this is from the 70's and these girls do not look like it at all … ha ha ha … Keep up the great work!
This one was $1899 when we finished it, that's about typical. If I were to guess we probably put 40 hours into it, something like that, so it wasn't too bad! Thanks for the kind words, we'll see you on the next video... which should be.... MONDAY!
@@LyonsArcade I could imagine so, I've restored a few of the old pacman tables, vector machines and the odd console, but those pale in comparison to these pinball masterpieces
Nice job! Now I would like to magic eraser my recently purchased Gorgar playfield but I just waxed it a week ago, as a newbie I want to do it right, but unsure how next to proceed, do I need to remove wax first? Funny choice of music when 'erasing hair' off her leg 😆
You can magic erase right through the wax :) Just pick one little spot, hit it with the magic eraser a little bit (put some rubbing alcohol on the magic eraser to wet it) and when you get it where you like it rewax it.... easy peasy

I got into a discussion with a friend and and I couldn't prove that their is only one company that makes the balls for pinball machine. And couldn't figure out what would be the size of the balls. Do you know by chance.
Dan is correct of course, they're 1 1/16", there are more than 1 company that makes them though because what they really are, are steel ball bearings. So it's an industrial product, they also make them in different tolerances, so the ones that are highly polished, etc. are just a different grade of ball bearing. The ones that are a lower grade are the ones that aren't as shiny because the surface isn't as perfect or as smooth.
Joe's Classic Video Games I like the black apron. I’m working on a friends Future Spa. Pinball Rescue no longer carries Bally decals. I think Ministry of Pinball is the only place that has this apron decal in stock.
strictly for fun and maybe to more graphically show the play field restoration, have you considered running a piece of blue painters tape down the center and restoring only one half of a play field, might be a better visual for your viewing audience.
It was going well, but you lost me completely with that apron swap. When you have a machine so original and do that, it just looks terrible. I could live with the back box, although it would be nice if you repainted the back box white and used a stencil, but that apron, man that was a bridge too far. Really would urge you to recondition the original with the decal and repaint.
Daniel it just wasn't cost effective for us to spend several hours and more money on a game we'd already sunk a ton of time into repairing, we sell these and try to do the best we can with the time we have. The customer was very happy with it and I thought it looked great once the apron cards and the lockdown bar were installed.... thank you for watching!

After all that headache in the back box, homie got a game that was ON FIRE and now look at it, damn. That playfield looks amazing

It looks a little better with the lockdown bar on it, but yes I wish I had the maroon one in good shape!

Very cool Mike, great game!
Ball wear on her legs...
Well I guess.
Nope!
nope!
too easy of a joke!
No matter how I tried, I kept running into the words "Ball" "Nut" "Screw" and "Legs"
Ron literally has the magic touch when it comes to Pinball machine lights!

Love the music ,thanks for saving an fix up the games 🦁

Nice job. I'd take an old machine over a new one any day
Thanks Travis.
This made a nostalgia... I'm not sure on that start up sound though.. It hasn't aged well.
Damn it Ron, I kept dozing off because your music is so pleaseant and relaxiing. :-P
