so much has changed the last 45 years I was in welding shop 10 and 11th grade I had Victor torch kit . from 1990 to 2012 , I used a 20 pound propane tank and a propane tip . I used Oxygen and acetylene for heavy duty 1/2 and above . looking at harris torch to replace the set that was stolen. I know the propain bottles I used no longer have the same set up. , but never had to have a seporit torch . Propane has a outside cupping since 2006 or about . No longer take the Regulator without and adapter. why the change on torch blow back ?

Should have re-filmed it when he started to try to adjust the flame with the oxygen main valve. The video isn't clear on the hotest tip flame. You completely left out heating and brazing. They say you can't weld with propane but I'll bet you can get it done somehow????

You can cut, heat, braze, braze-weld with propane. But you can't weld steel with propane.

It's possible "2P" is a date stamp or inspection stamp, but not an indication of model. Can you take a picture of the torch that shows detail and send it to harris_social@lincolnelectric.com?

None of our torches would have that stamped on the head. The stamp will either be on the flat part right above the tip nut, or on the brass flathead screw at the end of the cutting head. The Harris model number is stamped on the handle body near the trigger. That will also determine what style torch you have.
