Good job Wes! I like your teaching style. You are really down to earth and you don’t use vocabulary that the average person doesn’t understand. And when you do use unfamiliar words, you explain them. I’ve watched several of your videos already and I’m enjoying it immensely. Keep up the good work.
I was given a rustic cherry cabinet my brother had in his old house when he built his new house, it had stain on it and I redid it to the natural wood and put a clear coat on it and it is beautiful, but my favorite wood is oak. Oak has such beautiful wood grain and I cringe every time I see someone put paint over it. I don't care if the whole world is getting out of the natural oak look, I will keep mine natural even if everyone thinks it is outdated. Guess I myself am getting outdated. 😊
Do you have a plan for a living room end table that is a little fancy with one drawer at the top and a shelve at the about a 6 or more from the bottom. Also perhaps the legs being something other than just straight. I love the way you showus how to make things square
Putting some painters tape on the edges of the miter before gluing it together prevents the squeeze out to cause problems no wet cloth needed just remove tape.
Hey Wes Do you have any videos on building a kitchen island with a sink in it. I check your web site but could not find any thing. I am just starting out and would like to build a island from my home and I don't how to get started.
Wow...that's a big project. I don't have any video specific for building an island, however, that sounds like an excellent idea for one. If you would like, please go to my email woodworkingwithwes@gmail and leave me some specifics and I will see if I can help. Thanks, Wes
Another great video, thanks Wes! I do have a question though. Is Natura combustible? I have no experience with Natura but I have used Rubio Monocoat (which is also pricey but also very combustible). Thanks again.
He put a few nails in everything. In the faceplate to the box and on the shelf to the board on the sides of the drawer. Should be pretty solid. I wouldn’t sit on it though.
Clearly you weren't being super accurate as to where you started the cut of the first miter on each of the sides since you knew the sides were long enough to allow for a little error. But you didn't show how you made your second miter cut on the sides so it's not clear how you get the two sides exactly the same length. Is it a matter of setting the sides face-down on the table saw with the previously mitered edge running against the fence?

Thank you so very much for your kind words and support! Wes
Brilliant video Wes! I love the night stands👌👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 👍
Great video. I'll have to check around for the veneered particle board. Haven't seen that in our area.
Hi...check with your local hardwood supplier, they might be of help. Thanks for watching, Wes
In order to see that the miter joint is even we have to have glasses. That was hilarious, and I can totally relate to it 😂
Hey welcome to old age eyes 😂 Wes
I like 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you....glad you enjoyed the video! Wes

Thank you for another great video. I will give the Natura hard wax finish a try.
Thanks for watching, I think you will like it! Wes 😀
Nice job, Im not sure I would go with particle board instead of veneer plywood. Interesting choice, and room for thought there.
Hi...thanks for the comment. Ply core was not available in rustic cherry from my supplier but particle board core was 1/2 price. 😀
Ive used birch ply (unfinished) and found I could stain it to match cherry pretty well.@@WoodworkingWithWes
I love that stain would you please give me the name that you are using from the on line store.
I wish that you had plans available for your projects. Can I hope?
Sorry...I wish we did as well. Yes, you can hope some day I get my act together and get that done 😀 Thanks, Wes

Yes...you might want to read the label warnings. Thanks for watching, Wes
Will a measured drawing be available for purchase we will find out about later in the program??? ( Not many people will get this reference) lol
Hi...we currently don't have the ability to provide plans. Thank you for visiting the channel. Wes
What do you use to make your throat plates and how?🤔🤔🤔🤔
Hi...1/2" mdf core veneer stock. Thanks for watching, Wes
Hello I don't see how you doing middle shelf do you you cut with table saw or with table ruther??
Hi...it is cut on the table saw. Thanks, Wes
Love the putty sanding technique…
You said the shelf is solid Cherry and you glued it down. Are you not worried about wood movement for the shelf?
He put a few nails in everything. In the faceplate to the box and on the shelf to the board on the sides of the drawer. Should be pretty solid. I wouldn’t sit on it though.
I believe the shelf was the veneer ply. He used the solid cherry to just cover the exposed edge and meet the face frame.
Do you have a program for building end tables?
Hi Janet...that is a great idea. What type of design would you be looking for?Wes
Wondering how you attached the toe kick
The toe kick was constructed with a mounting cleat and screwed to the bottom of the nightstand. Thanks for watching, Wes
@@WoodworkingWithWes I’m still not sure how this was done, is there another video that shows this? Thanks
😃😃😃
Thank you!!!

Yes...after the mitre they were cut to exact length with the mitre against the fence. Thanks for watching, Wes
If you’re gonna do a how to video, you should show how you built the drawer too.
Hi...on the description you will find a video attached for the building of the drawer. Thanks for watching, Wes
Thank You Wes another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
