Nicki Swift What exactly was bizarre about their marriage??
What is INER?!! INA INA AAAA NOT ER!!! There is no R!!!!!
@@hunnybunny6801 ike lol
I love Ina. She is such a warm, happy-go- lucky kinda gal. Her personality is so inspiring.
There is nothing remotely “bizarre” about their marriage.
Why the stupid misleading title?
Maryscott OConnor got you to watch!
Nikki swift suckssss
Maryscott Oconnor .. I totally agree ! Wonderful people with a wonderful life ..
Because people are naturally drawn to finding out “dirt”.
These two are wonderful. Blessed and both so well accomplished. We all should be so blessed. Cook those chickens ladies.. but get Ina’s cookbook first 😄❣️
There looks very happy good for them.
My Mum was 20 and Dad 22 when they married. .... they are now 82/84 very happy and very much in love. .. fantastic to see .
I love watching Ina and Jeffrey a lovely lovely couple. ... they set a loving standard to which everyone should aspire. .... LOVE the best feeling in the world that gives life purpose. ..... sending you good wishes from UK.
You can't help but like her. They both have such welcoming and friendly eyes. You can see the love they share.
Ina and Jeffrey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in December. They're doing something right. Folks need to stop hating.
Got that right ! Said it again !
Most haters are simply jealous. I think they're charming. I love Ina's show. She's humble and normal. My mother adores Jeffrey. Every time the show is on she wants to know if "Sweetie" is there LOL!!
I'm celebrating my 50th in August next year 2019 we have had some good rows but hey ho we have survived we still love each other
@@ednasole854 Congratulations! When two souls find each other and stay together it's the best thing.
Dem H78 agreeded 100%
I love this couple because you can see the love she has for Jeffrey in the way she serves him and talks about him to her audience. I think it's beautiful.
There’s nothing bizarre about their marriage. If it works for them, then it’s ok. She inspired me to go to cooking school, one of the best decisions of my life.
I met Ina at a book signing for one of her cookbooks about 15 years ago. Besides signing (obviously) the cookbook she was promoting, she graciously took extra time to also sign my stack of other cookbooks of hers and took pics with me and my young children.
Vet Tech Mom I met her too. Very sweet lady.
This fat vile pig hates kids. Ask the terminal kid 🧒 who asked to visit her studio kitchen from the make-a-wish foundation.
Manny Escamilla That wasn’t her fault but the Food Network & her PR team’s. That request was made during her cookbook tour and her PR team overlooked/did not read the request. They said Ina receives hundreds of requests every month and they cannot accommodate them all at once. It’s not as if she received the request on her personal email. That’s why the request was turned down twice. But Ina eventually agreed with it but the parents of the child said they already made a different request to just visit a theme park & see a dolphin show. They said they didn’t want to stress their child any further & it wasn’t their intention to put Ina in such a negative spotlight.
Manny Escamilla that was so unkind. Be nice
Vet, whoop de doo.
Ina Garten is my absolute favorite Food Network star. She has taste, class, and treats her friends with love. She and Jeffrey have an awesome life.
Love her
I agree
Ina is my favorite also.
Ina has a beauty that come from within. She is 100% pure sweetness and love. God bless her and Jeffrey. Two lovely people.
"She is 100% pure sweetness and love"...really, how about the time that a little kid (cancer patient), through the "Make A Wish Foundation," requested to meet her favorite cook of all time and she rejected the idea, twice..so, "She is 100% pure sweetness and love"...yeah right...I'm not hating on this person, but really...
@@gerardogarcia1408 THANK YOU!!!! PHONY AS THE DAY IS LONG!!!
Not a big fan, but I will say I admire her honesty about not having children. Nothing is sadder than a person who has children and ignores them to advance themselves in their career, neglecting the children.
Two of my sisters chose not to have children and are very happy with their choice. They decided when they were young, and they are now in their forties and have no desire to have children, nor do their spouses. They love their lifestyle and are great aunts. My brother has children because he and his wife wanted four, and my husband and I have 2, and we did not want any more. We are all happy in our choices, not having children for some couples is the right decision.
Who’s to say she would have done that. It’s very condescending to assume that someone who chooses not to have kids is doing so because they’d be a bad parent wtf?
Alex Avery That's not what she meant. Reread it.
I've never had a strong desire to have children. And not every men want them either.
Why is it ANYBODY'S BUSINESS whether you decide or not decide to have children??? That's a decision between two people and two people only: the husband and the wife. As for anyone else who comments, criticizes or judges? BUG OFF and mind your own business!!
Actually, their secret to a happy marriage is that they aren't together that much.
@RichB noda
Vin D )
Yeah. It works great though! My husband and I been together for 17 years now. He has his own career, and I got mine. When we do get together, it’s awesome! It’s ok for couples to have different things for them to connect.
Vin D J.
Agree with this and don't think it's sad. I think living together and being together all the time is stressful and can be the death knell for many relationships. They have a chance to miss each other and really appreciate the time they do get to spend together. Also helps that they are wealthy.
Ugh they make me so happy. I love watching her cook and host, plus her house looks amazing. I want to be her friend
I love watching her cook, shes one of my favs. Shes so down to earth and just relaxing to watch..
Love her roasted shrimp in a garlic lemon and butter sauce...easy and delicious
So true
I have followed Ina for years and love her recipes and TV shows . She is just a natural , delightful woman and I love the relationship she shares with her husband Jeffrey. Her marriage reminds me of mine. The joy of making one another happy seems the top of the list. They are such a model of a successful union in this day and age and I wish them nothing but the best in the future. They are role models but I don't think they see themselves as such. The shows I love the most is when Ina is cooking for Jeffrey.
Congratulations Jeffrey and Ina, you are a lovely couple!
Adorable couple and one of my favorite cooks.
I adore Ina and think they are a great couple.
What is up with all the remarks about them not having children???
Not everyone wants kids.
I wish more people would not have kids because so many don’t want to
pay attention to them or parent them.
I have a great kid but completely agree it is not for everyone.
everyone needs happness bless there hearts
Not having children is one of the secret to their happiness and success lol!
NY Mom well they’re not having them now!
I agree. My husband and I have 2 kids by choice but I totally get why some women would never want kids. They factually take up an enormous amount of time and space in your life. It’s just facts.
Being child free is wonderful and it isn't selfish - selfish is having kids, then neglecting or abusing them!
I'm married to a man who adores me like that (almost 20 years now).
Theses are business folks sucking money off the internet...selling an image. If Ina were smarter she'd value her health more than money.

Well damn congrats to you, want a cookie?

She doesn't want a cookie. She's happy and wants to share it and most of us are happy to hear of someone else's happiness.
Wonderful blessing, thank the Lord🥰many more.
Anyone who 👎 most not be happy in own relationship. Haters will hate I guess. Beautiful couple!!!!
I wouldn't call this strange
Adding 'can make a mean roast chicken' to my dating profiles now.
You will definitely stand out among the competition! Do it!
Unhealthy roasted chicken is a bad way to start a relationship. You'll be shaped like dumpy Ina in little time. What will THAT do to your dating profile?
@Dee Seahawk , what "changes?" Animal flesh has always caused heart disease, diabetes, and many cancers. Unfortunately, your understanding comes from TV & advertising.
Based on this, it sounds like the secret to a long, "happy" marriage is only having to see your spouse on weekends.
Nowhere did I say or even intimate that it was unique to them.
And even more couples divorce because of that very reason
@@ErinDavila76 no they don't there are many factors that add on to that. that may be the reason some of your friends gave as a reason why they divorced they probably to you because the real reason was none your business.
Exactly......think Dolly Parton
And not having kids !! Sad !!
Lovely. After living in the Hamptons my entire life and hearing negative rumors about Ina and her husband, it was so nice to see this.
I love these two! They are a tender loving couple and she is just an Awesome Chef! Thank you Contessa!
They are absolutely precious!
I agree
I never realized how bitter people can be about another person's happiness and success. If you don't know her personally, then stop conflating your subjective opinion with the truth.
AD108 well said
AD, for real bitterness, check back after ten years of eating like plump Ina and see how you feel.
Thank you for this statement!
Very sad people. Probably jealous too of happiness. Usually people who are mean are very unhappy themselves. I'm glad they are so happy!!!
It’s not bitterness. They are not quite what they seem. It’s a tough and very weird world. These two are very “progressive”.
I love her so much, she’s so incredible. I had no idea Inas and Jeffery’s love story was so sweet.
These two are adorable! I love watching Ina's cooking shows and her passion for serving fine meals! Her enthusiasm is contagious. Her recipes really work and everything I have ever made from her many cookbooks gets rave reviews! Truly delicious!
Damn it why can't I find someone with half the career that Jeffrey has?? And half the love he has for her?? I will be the happiest woman
Watch @kevinrsamuels
Pray for it words become life. It will happen.
What a wonderful couple and I wish them many more happy years together. 💏💘👍✌
I had the pleasure of meeting this couple when I was a teenager. They were so sweet and gracious. You can tell Jeffrey loves to see Ina in her element.
I love Ina and her recipes and cooking show!
Many blessings to you both!
NONE of this is bizarre! They're super cute and have both been successful and supportive of one another!
Getting married at ages 20/22 is not shockingly young
I'm more focused on her being 15 and getting dates with all these Dartmouth guys.
I said the same. People used to get married all the time with a teen behind their age. Nicki Swift is obviously not too swift.
True, thought youd say 15 but 20 is so normal and every year thing
I guess its weird for some younger generations. Idk
The first wave of Baby Boomers still married young as was expected. Those women didn't delay marriage for college. Not many anyway. Those who did attend often dropped out when they found a husband. It's the way it was back then.
It’s bizarre to everyone they’ve been together so long...especially when I see people jumping from relationship to relationship dragging their kids along for the unstable ride... 🤦🏻♀️🙄
Ina n Jeffery are my most favorite couple! Oh how I wish I had a relationship like them! Such a romantic marriage! Love em both! 😍😍😍
getting married at ages 20 &22 was totally normal in those days.
the point of marriage is to have children. Biologically, Women's prime child bearing years are approximately between age 20 -28. Women today are having their children late and doctors classify them as geriatric pregnancies. The quality of women's eggs are declining by age 30 and decline rapidly at age 35. women are born with a set number of eggs, they don’t make any new eggs during their lifetime and women lose over 1000 eggs per month due to atresia and natural cell death. The loss of eggs accelerates with age. Up until the 1970's people generally got married around 18-25 years old. It seems to have coincided with Women's Lib and The Pill.
@James Johnson, you are way off. Nature didn't intend for humans to be near the end of fertility before reproduction. These folks contributed little, if anything to humanity except unhealthy meals, destroying her health in the process. Snap out of your illusion, James.
@@anastasia10017 , your wasting the biological facts on some ignorant folks here.
My mother was married at 14 “back in those days”
Well, probably not normal to most because, some people and still get married in there teen yrs. So, yep, 20 and 22 are normal respectable age to get married.
I know it sounds outdated and sexist, but the truth is that a good, basic cook, someone who can do laundry well and a good listener is the way to a GOOD MAN'S heart! You'd be surprised how many of the guy's I knew growing up who when they were in College in their early 20's and I was in my mid teens who would tell me I was going to make someone a WONDERFUL wife one day after they had seen my cooking, laundry skills and I'd spent time just listening to them and a good share of them were what we'd call "players" today lol. I've been married almost 30 years now and while my husband would NEVER say he married me for my cooking, laundry skills or because I'm a good listener, he DOES do A LOT of complimenting of those talents and letting me know HOW MUCH HE APPRECIATES THOSE QUALITIES!💜💜
Heather Pearce Truth 😍❤️
Eye roll. We have housekeepers and therapists for that now. Thank God and the women who demand respect. It works both ways, he should know how to do these things...unless you agreed to stay home doing these things while he paid the bills. But you are describing the men who cheat on their wives while she's home doing his laundry and cooking his meals.
Artemisia Gentileschi 😂😂😂😂
Artemisia Gentileschi Got damm you rammed the truth and nothing but the truth 😂😂😘
you just jinxed yourself tempting fate.
He sent her a hand written note and a photograph of himself? Really total class. Love that.
Agree, but I think that how well-educated young people courted back those days. Today she would have gotten an IM asking "Hey, wanna hang out? "
LOL, there was no internet or email. Everything was handwritten.
An amazing romance and caring relationship for more than 50 years :)
I really enjoy Ina and Jeffery, they seem genuine, her recipes are spot on.
Your blind.
I can't imagine marrying the first and only guy I went out with, but seems to have worked for them. What a lovely bride she was. What exactly is the "bizarre" part?
She did not explain this to us.
Really love this couple!!!! Ina and Jeffrey what a great role model. Love watching Ina's cooking shows! Happiness to the both of you always!
I dont understand all the hate towards these two. If you dont personally know them or are presently living with them, how can you makes judgments about their marriage and life together? You think she's a bit snobby? Most of you would be too if you grew up wealthy and then married a highly intelligent spouse who became wealthy by being damn good at what they do. You know, its ok to be happy for someone else. We dont have to talk shit about every single person we dont know but have pre- conceived opinions about. Whatever, I'll shut up now
Becca Boop yeah but there’s still no need to be snobby. I don’t care either way but don’t excuse rudeness cause of money
I think she just comes off as snobby as do many many people who were born are grew up in the area where she did. I've met and befriended several people from that area that come across the same way. 2 from Rhode Island and 1 from Connecticut. She has a very dry sense of humor as I've learned by watching her on Barefoot Contessa. And THEY ARE so loving towards each other. I wish we could all have relationships like theirs.
I really have not been living under a rock but I never knew that this lovely couple is hated or the brunt of so much negativity. I certainly don't think she is snobbish but a warm and generous woman who loves to share her love of food.
Usually it's not rich ppl who are snobs..they are above it..it's the middle classes who are snobs.
Becca Boop perfect, thank u
Ina has been my favorite chef. I have all her books and I’ve watched every one of her shows. Hope to see and read more from her in the future. They make an absolutely lovely couple!
Have learned so much from Ina about both cooking and being married. More power to them!
They should be the envy of every married couple!! Their love truly shows!! ❤️👰❤️🤵
“No children, no problem”...words of wisdom 🤣😂
I'm from Malta and I love watching these videos. They are a really nice and polite couple and they are real not posing on camera.
I like Ina and Jeffrey. Her work on the food network is great and her videos I watch over and over. Thank you for this fact filled video.
Such a beautiful couple - You have inspired Paul and me to be comfy displaying our emotions
I love Ina. She is wonderful to watch, on the Food Network. Great lady.
Love these two! They are beyond amazing! Beautiful inside and out. A match made in heaven.💙
INA AND JEFFREY ARE ADORABLE. YOU CAN REALLY FEEL THE LOVE BETWEEN THESE TWO PEOPLE.
None of those things are "bizarre" ugh...
This couple know what’s right for them. We need to stop worrying about their marriage and worry about our own marriage or relationship
Amen...
You forgot that Ina turned down a Make a Wish kids dream to meet her ... one of her number 1 fan, terminally ill he would watch her show with the nurses while being treated and ultimately succumbing to Cancer. Look it up ... I found this out and never have purchased any of her products or watched her shows ever again.
Oh WOW 😮 poor kid 😢
this warmed my heart. Thanks for sharing!
What a beautiful love story. Thank you for sharing.

The kindest and most intelligent couple who truly love each other.
Danielle Allen not for me. I’m married and personally if I only saw my husband on the weekend I’d go nuts.
Think its sweet that they have had such a happy marriage. They are lucky not many people get to experience what they have. Good luck to both of them. I think they are a great couple.
Are you that naive? They run an empire milking money from the internet. He's paid to try and get his arms around her huge body in an affectionate embrace. Notice he only takes one bite of fried chicken...doesn't want to be obese, too. She's his money-maker.
@@larrymaloney877 No. Everyone makes money in some way or another. Good luck to them.
,@@charmainkilloran9133 , agreed, some rob banks. Others break into homes. And some manipulate emotions to sell a dream...less likely to land them in jail, but just as destructive. Enticing folks to eat unhealthily is unforgivable. Without excellent health, there's not much joy in life. These two birds are milking it for all they can. Any dummy can make "comfort food" frying in animal fat, using lots of salt & sugar. We need smarter chefs who have their followers at heart, not their wallets. She has two chins and no neck. She wasn't born that way.
I loved the pictures of them when they were young - so cute!!!!
Their faces show their joy of each other.
It must work, 50 years is nothing to scoff at
Wow I remember going to my grandmothers house and watching Barefoot Contessa while in my diapers, I’m 17 now and I still love her show. 🥰
Ina Garten is beautiful and seems so happy!!
I love these two and I love her cooking show!
How is this bizarre?
i wonder too. if their marriage had issues then probably it would be normal. what a warped world we live in. where what is normal looks abnormal, smh. i enjoy watching her show.
no wonder they've been married so long. Now add in make up sex into this marriage...
"regular marriage" means living with each other on a daily basis. These people only are only together on weekends? Is that the way your parents marriage was? That is strange and bizarre!
Obviously. Career comes before children and a "normal" marriage. Certainly they do have a very strange marriage. Personally not for me. My children were a blessing and I will enjoy them and love them forever. I would not take money over my kids. Mind you they are grown and doing well now on their own. Thanks for this interesting conversation.
1586brittc It's bizarre these days to have a long lasting loving marriage I guess. Most celebrity marriages these days are fake
Ina was cuter than Ali McGraw. I can see why Jeffrey caught her! Best Wishes, you two!
Maybe then not now.
What a LOVELY couple! If only we all could find such a great match! Jealous!
All I know is...I enjoy watching Ina prepare any food!!❤❤
Wow. I already thought she was fantastic. Now I am blown away with their intelligence and business skills.
I love her!!!! Her cooking shows be so inspirational ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ina and Jeffery are relationship goals
I love watching Ina's cooking shows. She just makes cooking look easy. A very skilful and hard-working lady.😊
She put me off the day she was doing a recipe and made the statement about an expensive ingredient by saying "that is the beauty of marrying a rich man". What a crass and phony statement. She told me exactly why she married him. MONEY!
I think she has enough money of her own 🙄
What a nice story was always wondering what Jeffrey did. Very smart couple
I love you both sooooo much!!! I love your recipes and I love it when you cook for your husband and when he comes in and eats it and comments on it!!!!
"Bizarre"? I passed up watching this so many times cause of that word.. "Most Romantic Things..." should be the title. I had a beautifully crafted marriage with my husband, sadly it was brought to an abrupt end when he passed 3 years ago - crash by drunk driver - but ours was on the same path as The Gartens. Beautifully Matched, Romantically Walked Hand In Hand... God Bless
Such a good looking couple. Those pics of them in their younger days are precious

Am I the only one who has noticed all of her friends are gay guys?
sagrammyfour
Ommmggg that’s the strangest thing I’ve always commented on that it’s just weird not the gay guys but the fact she literally has not one girl -friend so odd
All of my friends are gay guys too. They're the best of both worlds. They check out men and can get catty and gossip like most women and they can help you move furniture. I also have no girl friends. Too much drama!
A lot are gay men but she's had quite a few female friends on her show. If someone appeared on her show, it was most likely a person she's friends with.
Other women in her age group are probably jealous of her lavish life and fancy dinners and whatever. Old rich ladies can be catty with eachother. Or maybe she just has a diva-ish personality that other women don't get along with but we gays tend to like
First thing I noticed !!! Oh yes another thing sounds like she's a Dumbocrat (oops) and they say all rich people are Republican !! She cooked for Moochele and worked for Dumbocrat presidents !!
How can you not love the Gartens?
I’m happy for them both, hoping they will they have many more years together ❤️❤️
Love these two smart and adorable lovebirds!
