Dear Kelly, You really outdid yourself with such an extensive 2 part Hilo Orchid Society Show and Sale video showcasing so many wonderful vendors. Their displays show exquisite varieties of colors, types of orchids and vandas. We are so fortunate that you made the plane trip over to attend and capture some of the orchids we as hobbyists are able to purchase online and have shipped to us from the vendors you posted on your channel. Florida is a very long state but many people travel great distances to attend major and orchid society shows and sales. I am glad that Jason Fischer mentioned that rf Orchids is hosting their Spring Fling Orchid Sale this year. We look forward to seeing your purchases from this wonderful show in future RUclips videos. Where do I start! This show is probably the best one yet since I’ve been watching it covered on your channel. I can definitely see Hawaii engaging much more in orchids. ⭐️ The copper art was really amazing. The variety of flowers were beautiful. Always great seeing Sheldon. The wood baskets…gorgeous! All in all it looked like a super successful show. The fact that you had Orchid Web there is really awesome. They are very well known. I’ll cover Jason when he comes to RF. Come to Florida!!!!! 🎉 I love when they use black backing drops for orchids. They show so well. Thanks for this episode Kelly. It was awesome viewing while having breakfast.
Nelson, I suggest we do an “exchange” trip….get a whole bunch of us S Fla orchid fanatics a group visit to the next Hilo show and visit some nurseries on Oahu, meet Kelly and have a grand time! What do you think? It would be such fun!

The fact that we had Jason Fisher as a vendor gives me hope that maybe other mainland vendors might be willing to come over for future shows. Oh Kelly, for shame! Jason Fisher is a God in the orchid world and you were completely oblivious to that. lol What an honor to meet him and have his ear. If I were you I would have emptied my bank account and bought that Phragmipedium Jason Fisher! That's a legendary Phrag and very hard to come by. And to have him sign the label!!! It was so nice seeing Akatuska and Kalapana there. Both are amazing! Thanks for the video.

@@TimInUT I knew something was up when he told me that he’d autograph it and that would make it even more valuable 😂 And when he handed me their business card, it was a big, and very nice business card! But I was so busy trying to record for my video that I didn’t think much about it. Only after reading my comments did I realize the he’s pretty much a celebrity in the orchid world. So of course I had to look him up on RUclips 😂 I feel even more honored to have met him because he was very nice. He took the time to explain things to me even after I told him that I’m new and still trying to learn. Hopefully he’ll attend the show again next year because I’ll have a great story to share with him 😂

Carmela always has a beautiful display and lots of beautiful orchids 😍 I learned that there is a way that you could buy orchids from some of these vendors. There’s a father, daughter duo on Maui that sells orchids from some of these vendors. Their company is called The Maui Orchid Whisperer. They sell on Facebook. The daughters name is Alexis and I believe she just had shoulder surgery. Once she’s feeling better I’ll get more information from her so I can share it with my viewers. Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽
