Thank you for posting this. My wife is Filipina. We have been married for 35 years I have paid for lots of land and have built a huge house there. It was mostly my idea and I did it to support my wife's parents who have since passed. I love going there and staying there, but I always feel left out. It is always clear to me that I don't really belong. Her Mom and Dad clearly didn't like me and never made an effort to make me feel at home, even though I paid for every thing. I never wanted a pat on the back, but at least a little bit of thanks or appreciation would have been welcome.
That's the toxic mentality of the Filipino. They feel that you are obligated to look after them because you're a "rich" foreigner who married their child. Their daughter is their gift to you and you should pay them back.
My filipina wife is an RN and makes good money, (so do i) Her parents are doing well on their own, her dad is retired military and gets a pension of sorts, not once has my wife asked me send money to assist parents/siblings, she just recently purchased a newly built condo in manila and she will rent it out to vacationers/tourists on the months we won't be there. i know a few guys who are married to a filipina and she is always buying stuff and shipping things back home to her siblings. Most filipinas do not have marketable skills such as an RN or a degree in some type of trade so they are self sufficient, otherwise you WILL be on the hook for their needs. choose wisely
If you get with a woman from a peasant family (I wouldn't) then at least make sure the family is somewhat cultured and follows key tenets of Catholicism such as gratitude. Start small with a meal, and see if there is any reciprocation. Don't be scared to drop the trash.
Roger is a good guy, and Ismi is a sweet girl.. Ignore the haters guys, life is too short, Just be your usual happy selves. peace guys.. that`s to everyone who reads this..
Pay no attention to people who say negative things. This is not hate, it’s really envy that they are expressing. Continue to be yourself and producing your great content! I love you guys!
Hi guys. It’s a nice variety of tips to be aware off. However, I personally still find Filipino people to be friendly and loving. Although, one cultural thing may perhaps needed adjustment. It’s the emotional ingrained with guilty conscious for the kids to support parents financially as an obligation; specially from daughters. All others, parents cultivates superior lessons for their siblings. That’s why finding the right Filipina to be a wife can be the golden price.
I had to keep coming back to finish guys. I've been here since 2015 and have lived in the US, Europe and now here. The fact is that people are generally the same anywhere you go. Don't beat yourselves up too much...hehe. Overall, the culture is really great and people generally respect everyone.
What you have described is common all over the world I just consider people like that ignorant. Unfortunately there are people in the world especially here in the U S as well that the only way they can make themselves feel good is by trying to make other people feel bad. You just have to ignore people like that and just keep being the best person you can be. Love the Videos watch them every chance I get, love the things that you guys doing. You guys have a great couple you look very happy together and you have a beautiful baby. Many years of happy and healthy lives for all of yous God bless you guys
That’s mostly in the ph, doof! Most peanois have that American drug junkie who lives in a tent mentality. That’s most! Because most are poor and lazy and blames the rich for their misery
Love the video! I think there’s another Pinoy mentality from my experience that non-Filipinos don’t appreciate which you can add to the list. It’s the inconsideration of speaking your language in front of groups who can’t understand it. It just creates disharmony within the group or team instead of unity. I have experiences these in the offices , get togethers with friends or in companies I worked for where there’s a lot of Filipinos . In growing up in Canada, my parents always taught me and my brother that if we are with our Filipino friends and there are non- Filipinos in the group, to talk a language that everyone can understand out of respect and consideration for those people. I remember one time, I had a get together in my house with co-workers. . Close to the end of the evening, there were 4 of my co-workers left. They happen to come from the same region in the Philippines. Instead of speaking either English or Tagalog, they spoke their dialect. It was the most uncomfortable feeling I ever had. They were all enjoying the food I made and having a fun conversation. They were in a their own world. However, I felt left out like an outsider and felt disrespected. I now know how my non-Filipino friends and co-workers felt in the offices or get togethers when there’ are group of Filipinos. After, this situation, I never invited these guys again. I made sure that the people I invited have the Multi Cultural Mentality so, everyone can have fun and does not feel left out. My father always tells me and my brother, to be a proud Filipino and show to the world how considerate Filipinos are. In doing so, other nationalities would like to know our culture more and gain more respect for Filipinos.
Thank you guys so much for being honest about the negativity. I am here in Cebu and supporting 5 daughters of single mothers. Family members getting jealous of what I give to these poor kids. Their cousins that have a father and mother expect me to give the same to them.
@@joelmonkley6177why do you think? Why do you think it’s always them helping out the ladies over in the Philippines? Plenty of needy Filipino boys need help for school too.
I’m not in the Philippines full time, but I’m here for many months of the year and your points are so true. My asawa tells me all the marites. She’s told about it from family and other trusted friends, but there is a lot of (way more than I thought) crab mentality, even from people who are nice to my face. If you don’t or can’t share your blessings, get ready for the chismis to start and since there’s usually nothing for them to say about us, it’s always based on lies. As a foreigner I want to get angry and confront them to their face, but I keep quiet and laugh instead (at least then I won’t be blacklisted 😂). With the hate from those that are jealous, it sadly is unavoidable. I totally agree with all your other points too. I really had to learn to relax and keep quiet here 🎉😂. I love this country and there’s some amazing people here (my wife is the best!), but OMG.. sometimes it can be soooo frustrating 😇🤣
Lol I'm Greek in NY. Greeks smoke indoors in their Greek clubs including the bands and singers. You will have an attractive 25 year old singer and literally takes puffs of smoke between lyrics.
Nothing that I have makes me anymore special than anyone else. Eventually I will retire in the Philippines mostly because the people there are so wonderful and that they're so friendly. I love the tropical paradise that the Philippines is and to me it's not a third world country. Thank God that He lead me to the Philippines.
Third world and ghetto are synonymous. They’re no longer physical places but more of a mentality. That said, SE Asia is still very much third world. 99% of the people there can’t spell fiduciary responsibility, let alone define it. Brazil is a developing country.
Unfortunately, we can't control how others interpret our actions, but we can control how we respond to their opinions. I just recently experienced the crab mentality we have here. Apparently, if you help someone here, they say it's for the clout, and if you don't help anyone they say you're being greedy. But let's stay focused on our intentions and what we believe is right. I wish you well Ismi and Roger.
I came back from the Philippines 2 weeks ago after my first visit. I love the country the people the culture so much to love I'm already planning to go back next year maybe January or February. Its gotta be dry season cause that typhoon this year was sabotaging my hiking plans up in the mountains 😊 🥾
U 2 are a beautiful couple together. I hope you stay together for a long long long time. I really thank you for educating me on several different topics!!!! I will be coming to your country soon to meet my future wife and she is a wonderful person and has warned me about 90 percent of this topic. Thank you very much and may GOD blesse you two for life............Andre from Washington DC
HAPPY TO SAY THAT AS OF THIS WRITING WED 8-23-23 I HAVE EXACTLY 7 DAYS TILL I FLY OUT & RETURN FOR MY 4TH TRIP TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL COUNTRY & SO EXCITED TO MEET MY LADY & ENJOY MY TIME THERE..
The " No Smoking " thing is in the States also . I Smoke , But here it's like you Can't Smoke INSIDE the Building so we smoke OUTSIDE beside the Sign before going in .
It's like that here to when I had my business lot of my friends and family wouldn't come to my house , I like to help people help alot in the Philippines I like seeing the kids playing I was on the beach in blingsad about 10 little kids come up and started sing then the party start got a video of it if you want see it are show it on you tube love the kids in the Philippines
It's still great that they approached the topic and basically said the PH is like any other country in many ways..... And it is true in my experience. They might run a risk of others in their life might see this video and might take it in a good/bad way, it's a brave topic....
I fully agree it's crazy I'm quarter Filipino my mom was half and I have full Filipino family there as well as my wife however I look like only American white blue eyes and you are so right I get treated so different even by my family there it's better now but took long time to make them feel as equals as family but I love the Philippines I love my family and in couple years I can't wait to live there myself but I love your show guys keep up great work
For Roger n Ismil, the feelings are significant enough to make it a topic. How they feel shouldn't be minimized by saying it happens in other countries as well. It's real for some people.
You are wrong. In most parts of the world, it is shameful to ask for money. My Filipino wife's family continuously asks for money. I helped my sister buy groceries a few times when she was in need. There is a reason there are so many Filipino nurses and engineers because their parents want them to support them in their old age.
@@travellolo No you're wrong - People ask for money all over the World - I seen people asking for money in every country I have visited - Including here in the USA - Filipino families can ask for money, but ultimately it is your "Choice" to say "No" - Same is true for helping your "Sister," you and you alone decided, to help her out in time of need - You could have said "No", but your kind heart decided otherwise - No deference here in the USA, some family members are always asking to borrow money - And the real "Shamelessness" only takes place when they don't pay you back, and this is true all over the World !
@BenzJaguar My sister asked me twice to help her buy groceries when she was low on money. I helped one of my Mexican cousins, one time when he was in a car accident. But about 30 Filipinos have asked me for money, family members, friends, and neighbors. Mostly for stupid things.
@@travellolo Comparing Mexicans to Filipinos is like comparing apples and oranges - Mexicans are "The Hardest Working People In The World" - They work 10, 12, 14 Hours a day, they often have more than one job, and sometimes working 7 Days a Week to take care of their families - Where the same can't be said about the Filipino people - You sound like an opened minded individual with good intentions - Obviously your experience, being married to a Filipino has given you a better perspective, compared to mine - I don't know what it's like to be married into such a family - So, Thank You for enlightening me on your first hand knowledge - I'll leave you with this: If 30 members of my family were constantly asking for money, I'd buy a T-Shirt that reads "I'm not an ATM Machine" and wear it everyday - Have a Beautiful Day !
I love the Philippines and it’s people although I’ve never visited the country but I have met many Filipinos in my country. I work with a few men and women from the Philippines
I experience this everytime i visit, people assume you're rich and want something from you. It annoys me sometimes because i try help and be respectful with anyone if i can affort to help but still i have to work hard just like anyone and if i have anything to share i do but it wont always be appreciated. Skin tax really annoying i experience that too, i give tips but when i experience skin tax i dont give any tip if a person is kind and respectful they deserve that same kindness and respect in return so i will tell them keep the change and its nice to see the persons respect and appreciation for that kindness, i was just in bohol a few weeks ago and i had a hair cut and paid the guy, he looked at me in total shock and tried to hand me back some money like here you give way too much like i hadn't realised and i said no that's for you and he was so appriciative and i walked away with a fresh haircut and a smile and feeling happy to meet such an amazing guy, the same with the driver that took me to chocolate hills such a great guy i bought him lunch on top of the tour fees and he was made up with it and i was just happy to have the respect and kindness that he showed too 😊😊😊 i love these experiences in the philippines most people there will take good care of you and show kindness, love & respect
Thank you for being the good people you are. Your channel has been very enlightening for me. I plan on going to the PI so I really appreciate your kindness and truth.
Congrads on your happy lives and possitive attitude and relationship you both have beautiful smiles showing your happiness . My smile would be as bright as Rodger's if I had a beautiful wife that really loves me like he does and it really shows that Rodger truly loves Ismi and is really proud of her as he should be I can see both of you work together to build a great life to share together your very lucky and definently blessed. Sorry my spelling sucks LOL
You have a very interesting channel, it is great to hear a Filipino view rather than just the ladies commenting. There are so many Filipina feel good channels out there, that give a very cherry coated version of life there, it is good to hear a more balanced view.
Why would anyone hate the Phillipines? I had a great time when I went there a long time ago. I found the people friendly, other than a few scammers and con artists.
I really liked this video. You have so much common sense. Your information was pertinent but not obnoxiously belabored. Your delivery is also very good. Both of you are relaxed, yet you are delightfully animated. Very well done, I enjoyed it. Subscribed.
I know exactly how you feel about what we call a " Know It All ". My brother is like that. I find you both very honourable people and I am glad to know you both. If you teach your daughter your principals then she will definitely be one of the better off young ladies. I have no opinion about the Philippines because I have never visited there. I have been to other countries that are less advanced as Canada but they all have their good points as well as bad points. I have been checking out the Philippines for the last 2 years so I will have an idea what to expect when I eventually do visit. I pray to still be healthy enough to make the trip. Like you both say " no hate just love ". Much love to you and your family from Canada.
Just do it as soon as you can because when you do it is addictive. There is so much to see and do and you can't do it all in a lifetime. I'm addicted and plan to retire here.
A very REAL candid conversation about the reality of living there and what we as expats will encounter when living among Filipinos. There are definite cultural differences and mindsets within the family's compared to the 'western' or US experiences. That was quite a list. Some of those behaviors must be 'human nature' because I experienced them 60 years ago growing up in the US. Toxic - describes it very well. - - - You two are wise - very astute - and discerning these issues quite accurately through obvious observations and interactions of life. This warning will be appreciated by some and others may simply ignore it ? Not all expats are 'wise' either ! --- Your sincerity is appreciated and may GOD bless you both.
This is the first time i have hated about the Philippines being hated...Quite the opposite, like all places there are nuances and customs that may seem very strange if you come from a Western nation and the time factor...People are not used to lack of rushing around, even though that is something cherished before coming there and partaking in the life and lifestyle. The only ones i have ever hear voice hatred is those that are criminals and those that are perverts and those that their visas and visits cannot be extended. Most people, even there are envious to seeing those with more...And are no different in looks nor intelligence or connections, having many avenues in life that they do not...That is really the only negative i can see there, but it happens in all countries and cultures. Good video i hope it helps someone to see why this goes on.....Peace
My background is Criminal Investigator for the US Army, I have said a million times that a quality law enforcement agency/policies would have a HUGE impact here!!
Just found your channel..new subscriber...wow...thank you for this topic...am planning to stay in the Philippines and would like to help out where I can...so now I learned a bit about some personalities....glad to hear you can discuss this topic with a sense of humor🙂 ..
It’s the same with all people. Few people are introspective, straight forward, and honest. I think mostly because they cannot accept their own imperfections, so they blame others to cover up their imperfections. That’s life. Know what you’re dealing with sort of like spiciness). Then choose the ones that are below you max spicy level.
I am married to a Filipina and lived in the Philippines for a year. Yes I did experience those things. There is always drama among the Filipino community here. I just learned to ignore it. My wife’s family is good and they don’t ask for money. Maybe it varies from family to family. I know the year I lived in the Philippines was the best year of my life.
Thank you kindly for being honest and talking about this. I been here many many years. Few will talk about this or give a heads up. Not talking about this and a giving a heads up this behavior made it difficult to adapt at beginning. You can learn the language but have learned learning the attitude was the most essential. Love and blessings to you .
You are both right because I have been here going on 9 months and I got very annoyed by it, but I have met a lot of good Filipino people that I do like.
All the "treats" you talked about are really international, they are Human Nature. Philippines are no exception 🤣😁. Try to surround yourself with other good People and let go of the bad ones. Love your Channel 👍
I always let my Asawa go first weather it's getting a taxi, buying things at the store, or buying street food or just buying anything. I'll be around the corner and when she closes the deal, I swoop in. Also, when my asawa was young, some of her other relatives would look down on her and her family and wouldn't talk or help them because they lived in the slums. Even the ones here in the states. But now that she's here, and we renovated the house in the Philippines, everyone wants to talk to her and the family. Hmmmmm
This is a Universial behavior, Crab Mentality is not something new. As a Filipino, the only toxic and negativity in the Philippines is the human CCTV, an example is Filipinos like to gossip and don't mind their own business, Give and take should be the mentality! In the U.S. some people also don't follow the laws, like road rage, Asians or other minorities in the U.S. or Western World also face racism, don't assume White foreigners are superior over a Filipino, they think foreigners are affluent, that is a stereotype not all foreigners are rich or smart! there's the Good, the Bad, the poor and the Ugly all over the World. I hope you research the Word "Karen" and Google it! Racism is real. The worse is this new trend Black Passport bros searching for a Filipina Girlfriend or a relationship, You don't know their background and should check them before the Philippines allow them to the Country..
I love the Philippines. The people are wonderful. I never met and Filipinos that were negative to me. I'm from the US and I married a Filipina. But there is a lot of jelousy.
I've never heard anyone express hate about the Philippines or Filipinos. I've met a handful of Filipino immigrants here in the states, and they seemed like decent people. My impression is that there are a lot of nice people there, but also a lot of desperate poverty. I've never been there, but would like to see it someday.
Cracked me up when Esme bit her lip after imitating the "local" accent.. So, let us think about confidence in a shy person to speak out in any situation. Shy people will have to muster up the courage to speak at that moment. They will think in their mind that they have to say anything with great confidence/arrogance. I find this to be true in any culture BTW. We can understand now why it is said with great confidence, even if it is wrong. They are shy... I often tell people that I am not listening to what a person says. I am most interested/curious on what they do NOT say. Of course you listen to them talk..... right? You will find more value in my approach to conversations... I ask questions of what I do not understand....These things force out what they are NOT saying.... right?
Im here in Cebu City, landed on 8/15, leaving late next month, immigration officer gave me untill late october to leave but since I have to return to office to work, I have to get back in the grind to come back, there is a few odd characters here and there but overall, you cant really walk late at night in the USA without getting robbed or worse, I have been to local barangays basketball games and people invite me for a beer since I am chilling in their hood, not my hood but theirs, im showing respect, I love riding the jeepneys, the local food mercardo, I hate to leave but I will be back to see my woman, just hit 1 year + together, including LDR, I posted some random videos
You all bring up so many points that not only happens in a life of a Philippino but most countries and in the US. Thank you for sharing this which seem to be a huge problem and what to lookout for peace.❤
I truly understand I experienced this myself with a previous girlfriend from the Philippines. If it always about her it's always about her all the time I've never met her in.
I spent a month in Tacloban and was treated like a king like you said. I had young store clerks ask if they could take a picture with me and constantly giggled. I obliged. I also experienced seeing people take a leak in the ocean with hundreds of people around. The driving was off the rail. Good video.
Always remember that hate comes from below....never from above. It's a great indication that you are growing higher than the average Joe your previous self. So you have haters....well done! That means you are doing something great with your life. No haters....then what the heck are you doing wrong? 😅
Those kinds of people are everywhere in the whole world but it is not the majority and we cannot avoid that Let us put it this way Imagine yourself to be in their position nowhere to generate income you might be worst than how they are doing You talk obout other pilipinos so judge mental but you are doing the same What “s the difference people
Hi Roger & Ismi❤I'm a 65 year old American Musician who Loves everything about the Philippines, which I will probably never see, but I would like to see it all sometime🤞but Friends and Family of mine are not as accepting as me. All my life I've been accepting of everyone or anything but I agree with all your points. My Father was in the Philippines in WW2 as a Marine then he passed when he was 49 in 1963 but he was there helping Filipinos 👍
For those of us who have spent real time in The Philippines we haven't been complaining a lot. And even if there's some complaining I'm certain there's no HATE. Maybe I'm just speaking for myself.
What an informative video! Thanks guys, that was helpful, because one day, I would like to visit The Philippines, as I have seen quite a few documentaries about your country, in particular, the poverty there.
Yes! It get's on my nerves when I'm approached by beggers, especially the children! They don't let up! I you give to 1, he'll leave and bring back 5+ begging, so I just say No! Yes, I got my PH Driver's License and people drive so crazy and look like you're driving recklace! lol I love the majority of Filipino's here in Naval, Biliran!
When people comment that the bad traits that you mention are all over the world, that way of thinking is wrong. I am of Mexican descent who married a Filipina. Only once in my lifetime has a relative asked for money. An uncle asked for money when my cousin was in a car accident. All cousins pitched in and paid the medical bills. I have been asked by many of my wife's family members for money. Also, my stepson is in nursing school, and all Filipinos know why. Very good blog, keep up the good work.
Brother, sis, jealousy is every where. Even here in the US. There is alot of really crazy stuff happening here. Especially people being looked down on. People being jealous of others. I have seen a few creators on RUclips from other countries that don't make alot of money with RUclips. But the little they make from RUclips is alot of money in their own country. I think that is so great. I have seen people that have little see others that have and they think " oh you can just give to me. Give me give give me." Caution goes along way.
I understand, it makes sense. Thank you for all the effort you two put in your channel. It is appreciated and it has helped me understand my Filipina so much.
i appreciate these types of videos rather than seeing videos that only talk about the good and almost like a sales pitch to come to the philippines haha. a lot of what you described you see here in the states except this is a richer country so we don't see how things are being pushed for relationship with foreigners. i think it's important for people to understand that there will be good and bad with everything and people need to take the good with the bad. the culture is still very amazing in the philippines. also, there may be fake people when it comes to religion, the philippines are still a lot more christian than here in the usa in my opinion. kinda reminds me of mexico and hispanics. you guys still see the men and women with very distict traditional roles where that has become lost at a rapid pace in other countries like the usa. anyway, good job with the video. i think it was a bit one sided and subjective but a breath of fresh air when everyone is talking about the exact opposite in the philippines and only talking about the good. takes courage and guts to make a video like this in my opinion and it shows good character as to not to deceive people really good job!
My Philippines family loves me. There is one branch of the family that tried to scam us when we were there last time. They just need to ask. We will always help. I Love, Love, Love' the Philippines!
This is a great list Foger and Ismi. Please set up buy me a coffee. My PayPal was hacked so it the best way for me to help contribute. Both of you are so very bright and you work well together as a team.
Most of these issues stem from Spanish Catholic heritage and abject poverty. Mexico is exactly the same and it is on the other side of the planet. I have experienced or seen every one of those issues when I lived in the Philippines. That Spanish Catholic heritage is not going anywhere and it is why the Philippines will never change. As a foreigner, you don’t have to put up with any of it. Your financial security insulates you from most of it, except for people asking for money. As long as you make it clear you won’t give money to people, they will respect that and stop asking. Filipino people are averse to confrontation and they don’t like going to the foreigner for money. They will typically try to access your money through your wife or girlfriend. Bill Gates money could not cure poverty in the Philippines…you can’t either.
Wow! I haven't watched your channel in 6 mos. Roger's English has improved so much! Also, the reason they're poor is because they're so negative. Thanks for the report but avoid them so you don't catch their negativity.

Thank you for posting this. My wife is Filipina. We have been married for 35 years I have paid for lots of land and have built a huge house there. That's the toxic mentality of the Filipino. They feel that you are obligated to look after them because you're a "rich" foreigner who married their child. Their daughter is their gift to you and you should pay them back.

Yeah the Philippines is
Mostly a squatter. Too many neighborhoods to stay away from 😊
What you have described is common all over the world I just consider people like that ignorant.
I love asian ppl... Phillipines... China ect.. Ect.
Thank you guys so much for being honest about the negativity. I am here in Cebu and supporting 5 daughters of single mothers. Family members getting jealous of what I give to these poor kids.
Their cousins that have a father and mother expect me to give the same to them.
Wok. Kudos. 😃😃😃😃😃
Why only daughters no sons ? Why only girls curious
dont support single moms.
@@joelmonkley6177why do you think? Why do you think it’s always them helping out the ladies over in the Philippines? Plenty of needy Filipino boys need help for school too.
@@One-12937 why do you think it is because they have a vagina ?
Thanks for being HONEST!!!
It is now classified by the UN as a developing country which is better than 3rd world status.
Third world and ghetto are synonymous. They’re no longer physical places but more of a mentality. That said, SE Asia is still very much third world. 99% of the people there can’t spell fiduciary responsibility, let alone define it.
Brazil is a developing country.
The humidity in the Philippines makes it a bad place for me. I hate going just because of the humidity.
25:00 Facts! 💯
When it comes to traffic laws here in the USA. Not everyone follows em.

Great video guys and right on. I’ve experienced everything you mentioned here. Thank you for a really interesting video.
Poor Roger. You guys make a great couple.
Great video Roger and Ismi 👌 topic was handled expertly and perfectly. May your channel keep growing . 100 k this year .
Good Video Roger and Ismi 😊. Haters will be judged. GOD is watching and listening.
Stay Safe 💕 💞 🙏 🙏
Much of what you spoke of today is common all over the world. Consider the good and bad of human nature. Good video and thank you.
It's still great that they approached the topic and basically said the PH is like any other country in many ways..... And it is true in my experience. They might run a risk of others in their life might see this video and might take it in a good/bad way, it's a brave topic....
No, it is not common all over the world. People asking for money from relatives is not common in Japan or Mexico.
I’ve experienced many of these in my visits to the Philippines. It’s great to hear you relate it and it’s comforting to know it wasn’t me 😂
Really enjoyed this video - You guys just described every human past and present on this planet !
@@BenzJaguar Thanks for the support.
I love the Philippines and it’s people although I’ve never visited the country but I have met many Filipinos in my country. I work with a few men and women from the Philippines
Good ethics you two keep spreading kindness.
Refreshing to here your points of view and great couple.
Totally agree about over doing the American accent to the point I struggle to understand them
Keep up the good work!!! WORK is being successful.
I really liked this video. You have so much common sense. Your information was pertinent but not obnoxiously belabored. Your delivery is also very good. Both of you are relaxed, yet you are delightfully animated. Very well done, I enjoyed it. Subscribed.
Thank you so much, welcome aboard brother.
Nice looking couple but the issues you talk about are not new to Expats, we experience those issues in America all the time.
You will enjoy the country, open minds normally do find great pleasure in exploring new things...
Excellent video guys!! Thank you for posting. 😊
Just found your channel..new subscriber...wow...thank you for this topic...am planning to stay in the Philippines and would like to help out where I can...so now I learned a bit about some personalities....glad to hear you can discuss this topic with a sense of humor🙂
..
Thank you so much for the subbed welcome aboard brother. We hope this will help you out.
Thanks for watching
It’s the same with all people. Few people are introspective, straight forward, and honest. I think mostly because they cannot accept their own imperfections, so they blame others to cover up their imperfections. That’s life. Know what you’re dealing with sort of like spiciness). Then choose the ones that are below you max spicy level.
Ok I smirked reading that.... Michael.
The attitudes, behavior, and actions are the same the world over. Even in the US same problems in various reasons. There are exceptions to the rule.
Hello how are guys doing i hope so well very good topic today just dont pay attention they envy you guys because you are hard workers.

I love the Philippines. The people are wonderful. I never met and Filipinos that were negative to me. I'm from the US and I married a Filipina. But there is a lot of jelousy.
Roger&Ismi you are a great. I love it to look your video's. I hope in the future we can meet us?
Maybe, to please your fellow countrymen, swap back and forth between filipino and american accent.
Love your humor and observations!
I've never heard anyone express hate about the Philippines or Filipinos. I've met a handful of Filipino immigrants here in the states, and they seemed like decent people. My impression is that there are a lot of nice people there, but also a lot of desperate poverty. I've never been there, but would like to see it someday.
You may be surprised to hear that those same type people are here and many places.
I made the Philippines my home because I love it!
She's a selfish kind of woman.
I see you guys that you do your best to helpyour people who really neened and know that you can not all people because you lots money to do it .
Well that hurt my feelings when Ismi said nobody is perfect, after all this time lol 😅
No hate coming from me in Canada 🇨🇦‼️
Thank you

Hi Roger & Ismi❤I'm a 65 year old American Musician who Loves everything about the Philippines, which I will probably never see, but I would like to see it all sometime🤞but Friends and Family of mine are not as accepting as me. All my life I've been accepting of everyone or anything but I agree with all your points. My Father was in the Philippines in WW2 as a Marine then he passed when he was 49 in 1963 but he was there helping Filipinos 👍
Why probably never see? There is always time to do so. 65 is not that old. ☺
I hope you can visit there, you won't regret it and a round trip ticket isn't too awfully costly
@@dochi1958 Thanks, the ticket is in my pocket, will be there in November. 👍
You guys are very humorous about this topic, especially about the confident know-it-all personality. Lol
Our pleasure! You're welcome
This not just in the Philippines, this everywhere
I hadn't heard it referred to as a skin tax before. In Latin America, they call it Gringo pricing!
but here in PH they use the word Skin Tax
Self centered is all over the world dont worrry, I'm in Paris in France, that is at its MAX here
Even a Filipinas family will do that to each other
This is a great list Foger and Ismi. Please set up buy me a coffee. My PayPal was hacked so it the best way for me to help contribute. Both of you are so very bright and you work well together as a team.
Its human nature, 😢 sad.
True
No a key tenet of Catholicism is gratitude, which is lacking in the Philippines. You know nothing andjust start on some victim complex nonsense.
Wow! I haven't watched your channel in 6 mos. Roger's English has improved so much! Also, the reason they're poor is because they're so negative. Thanks for the report but avoid them so you don't catch their negativity.
You have to get lots of money to help just be positive and dont pay attention to them be safe healthy and nice day.
