For people with a young family that DO want to go to the netherlands either on a camp site for short or longer stays, a motel, hotel or whatever. The province of Zeeland is maybe best suited for them if you plan to go cycling. It's scarse in density and the routes you most likely will take (Delta Works are great or the stretched beaches), you can see for miles and not have to pay attention to a small child cycling (or walking) far from their camp site because loads of them are near not big cities, bor even 100k cities are hectic enough for some adults, let alone kids that just learned to bike..
I live in Zuid Holland, so I'm not a promotion agent. I do live very close though, in Hellevoetsluis which almost as close can be to it.

Great to see younger enthusiastic people enjoying caravaning, people will give you stick about oh no not another bloody caravaner or why don’t you use hotels? Or it’s not a proper holiday, but just enjoy it we love just a simple weekend after a busy week at work or a fortnight in Europe it doesn’t matter as long as we’re away we love it,all the best to you.
