I had a '74 s3 88, and all it lacked for serious -- albeit slow -- off-roading was limited slips or lockers (the pto winch had grenaded, unfortunately). These and old Jeeps went everywhere that people now feel they need 20K worth of upgrades to tackle.
Fun to watch but let's be honest, those old Landies were terrible!! Jeeps of the time were also not much better. Off road ability compared to modern vehicles suck, big time!
Load of rubbish. How do you do all this in a new Defender? 😂 Where's the steel bumpers to nudge stuff out the way, protect it, stand on to gain traction? Where's the solid axles and ladder frame chassis? How do you repair a new defender? Exactly 👍
