Great video. I live in the US and have had multiple bottles of the 43%. My wife also gives me the UK Drinks by the Drams Scotch advent calendar every year and once I got a Laphroaig 10 sample. I was innately disappointed since I already had an opened bottle of Laproaig 10, but then I noticed the 40%. So like you, I was able to do a comparison between the 40% and 43%abv Laproaig's. And starting off blind, the 43% was the clear winner. It is amazing what a 3% difference can make. I wish there was a 46% non-chilled filtered Laphroaig available - but at least there is the always reliable cask strength 10 to fill that niche (in a rather extreme way).

      Thank you🤗
Great that you could do the comparison to.
      Yeah a 46-48% would have been nice😋

Great review and comparison. Laphroaig 10 43% was the gateway drug for me.
    Cheers 🥃

Great video and cheers from Finland! Also agree that I prefer the Laphroaig 10 vs Ardbeg 10. Here in Finland Laphroaig 10 is 55 eur and Ardbeg is 70 eur.

A great comparison between the ABV we get in Europe and that little bit extra in the US. It's such a shame there's that difference. And don't worry about getting tongue-tied - it shows you're just like the rest of us! Cheers Rikard.

Thank you for a great review.
I would gladly try L10 43% and the cask strength, but they're hard to find.
Personally I prefer Ardbeg 10 and Laphroaig Quarter Cask over L10, just because of the higher ABV. Even if I enjoy L10, it's a bit too calm for me. That also goes for Lagavulin 16, even though I love how balanced and complex it is. So I think I'll choose Lore over Lag16.
