- One of my all-time favorite Hogan's Heroes scenes! (Isn't Newkirk adorable? LOL!) Sorry that the audio lags a little behind the video. Pay special attention to 2:59, and watch Newkirk try to flick the banana off the counter! I wish I knew why Richard Dawson did that! ROTFL!
I wish there was a gif of Newkirk saying “He means it, I know him.” Hands down one of the best scenes in the entire show.
Absolutely!
Didn't expect to see you here Spanish Inquisition
@@daniannuzzi5441 No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
@@jrow84 lol
I wish there were more gifs of Hogan's Heroes period!
"This man will be court-marshaled, shot, AND sent to the Russian front!"
Priceless!
by orders of general von hoganburger
i use this all the time in a ww2 class
Hey those nutty Gestapo was probably crazy enough to do that to a person, court marshal them, shoot them in the leg, and send em to the Russian Front via the Stalin Grad express...
One of my favorite lines in the entire show 🤣
MnMs002 This was a WW2 documentary
"Transferred to the Russian Front sir, or court martialed to be shot?" "I don't know, mix them up."
Hehehe, one of my absolute favorite scenes.
Me too!
One of the Greatest scenes in television history
send them to the russian front with a bullet in their legs
Or if they dare to question the authority of General Von von von von Himmelberger they might be both, Court-martialed, shot AMD transferred to the Russian Front.
Hogan has been hanging around Major Hocstetter too much! He said everything but "Baaaaahhhh!" LMAO! 😂😂😂😂
LOLOL
Lol
Don't forget the line what is this man doing here 🤣🤣🤣
He wanted to transfer the hotel itself to the Russian front. 😂😂😂😂
Nick....You are dead on. My favorite HH scene of all time.
How would they get the whole hotel to the Eastern Front without the Soviets Noticing?
LOL
But then the Russian front was faster and transferred itself to the hotel :-)
@@StevenCodeBlack Hitler would be stupid and crazy enough to try.
They must have had a lot of fun doing this scene!1
I can't even tell you how much I love the fact that he slapped the guard at the door!! LOL! That's the funniest thing ever!
Monker4444, that little historically correct tidbit is nice, for a superior officer to strike an underling in the US military would have been absolutely forbidden but in the German system would not be thought much of.
So this is where Zha-Zha Gabor got the idea! LMAO! 😂😂😂😂
I know! LOL
No doubt, lol
@Monker4444
I'm totally with you on this, it struck me like lightning the first time I had watched the scene on my couch. Almost couldn't handle the pain from laughing. That tiny moment is big in history.
This scene is meant to mock the Nazis and it does a wonderful job.
This entire show mocks the Nazis, and is a classic.
Sure does, lol
I’m sure Crane and Dawson had a lot of laughs with this episode.
Hogan leaves
Everyone in the hotel: “What was that all about?!”
Top notch historical comedy - and on the serious side, it shows just how suspicious and scared the Germans were of one another at the time.
Hogan's 'German' accent lmao XD
love this scene
Dang! I still miss Bob Crane. One of my favorite actors. Sad ending.
"I want this girl brought down and put in my machine in five minutes! Repeat, FIVE MINUTES! If you do not follow my orders within that time, you will all be transferred to the Russian Front! Including the hotel itself!"
Love this scene. Never noticed Dawson flicking the banana off the counter before but now I'm freaking out laughing. Why?? WHYY???? LOL. Thanks so much. Also love your snippets.
Wasn't it hilarious? Thanks! LOL
Went back to see it. LOL!
Nearly got his hand smacked 😂. 3:01 says it all in his face right after
"He means it....I know him....."
Newkirk looked so cute in this scene, lol
Great other actors!!! I wander how many times the other actors broke out laughing on set I bet a lot of takes for this set!!!!!
Waaaiiitt, a minute! I was under the impression that, only *Hitler* could throw those kinds of *Temper-Tantrums!*
Haha yess I also thought so!
I could not stop laughing when he starts yelling AND SENT TO THE RUSSIAN FRONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, right? LOL
One of the funniest scenes in all of HH. 😂😂😂
This is by far my favorite scene in the series.
"I don't know, mixed them up...."
My fav tv show when I was 12- today iam 67
Yes, I know! Every time Hogan knocks something down, Newkirk just kind of cringes or jumps. :) I loved this scene!
The was a MeTV commercial where Hogan said danke schoen Putzi lol I have looked for it everywhere. I have even watched this episode a few times and missed it every time!
LOL well here it is! 😄
@@imme4789 I watched it over and over about 20 times haha.
He will go with the gypsy every time
What a hilarious scene. I do love how the German uniforms and weapons seem to be authentic, but one of the guards is holding a Thompson SMG with a front handgrip. Not sure how that slipped into the scene.
Bob was having too much fun hamming it up.
Thus scene was seen yesterday during the extended marathon day.
"You will stand when General von Himmelberg addresses you!"
"Jawohl, Herr Gen... ugh!"
he broke all the glasses at the hotel... awesome Hogan.
I own the first season and I just got done watching it again. Amazing!
To me. This was the show at its absolute prime. Using the Russian front to bully troops into inadvertently committing treason. Lol
You could use that to get anyone to do anything just threatening with the Russian front and committing treason they get sent to the Russian front shot and court-martial
Only Hogan and his men could get away with something like this.
one of my favorite scenes of the show
This made me realized that some bits are cut off from what is shown on meTv. The part when they drive up to the hotel was not shown
Me t.v edited stuff for "content" and time constraints.
As long ago as the 1980s, syndicators and local TV stations often chopped bits of the show just to get in one more thirty second commercial. Those of us who almost had those shows memorized knew what had been edited. That was one of the benefits of buying the boxed set - full episodes, even with the CBS in Color lead-off and some show promos.
Im convinced that they just put Bob Crane and Richard Dawson in a room full of Nazis and told them to do whatever. This scene was 100% improvised. You cant tell me otherwise. lol
That has to be one of the funnest episodes ever😂
This is something me and my friends would make. XD
‘We’ve got to get that motorcycle back to the pool. . .’
my fav american comedy
Newkirk was always my favourite.
Only Hogan would have a so-called "prisoner"on his lap in a sidecar.
Even as a kid I noticed that there were never any ugly"prisoners".
The best série of all the time!
Slapping the soldier was right out of Patton!
Except that this episode is roughly 4/5 years before the Patton movie!!
You are referring to the Actual historical Patton?...and not the 1970 movie???
@@keithbrown8814 Right but everyone knew Patton had allegedly done it during WWII "The Big One," as Archie Bunker used to say, KB.
The one thing I never got about this show was they had fixed now all year round on the ground even in July I've been to Germany they never have snow on the ground on the lower levels
Vielleicht solltest Du ganze(!) Folgen in englisch gucken.?
This is great😅
It's from 'The Scientist', season 1, episode 12!
Ty
@@killimon1635 Dubois strikes again!
In the episode he throws that around a lot he even says the hotel needs to go to the Russian front
🤣🤣🤣 i will own this entire series next year
I've always wanted to see this episode. I've seen this clip several times and I love it too. Can you tell me what episode this is from?
'The Scientist', season 1.
Yeah... i agree with you!
Newkirk is adorable. Nice timing at 2:59! If Richard was only a second to late... ouch! LOL
"Its a bloody miracle"......priceless!!!
I mean: "it's a ruddy miracle"...
I know its probably a little late, but the one in which Carter answers the phone is called 'Casanova Klink'
Many people don't know this, but there is a deleted scene where Hogan blows their cover by holding the wrong fingers up when ordering drinks. A massive and bloody gunbattle then breaks out at close range.
LOL, not! 😂
@@imme4789 Yeah, but do you know what the joke is referencing?
Inglorious basterds 😂
Thank you putzy!☺️
Yeah I know...he hit the brakes they didn't work, so he took the lamp post with them. ROTFL!
Danka Potsee, omg! lol!
Amazing how a German accent is all one needed to pass muster!
I guess this is why Hogan stopped bothering with the accent when impersonating Germans later on: it was always so unconvincing and over the top, lol.
I just saw this episode they cut the first 30 seconds out.
Even the hotel gets transferred to the Russian front.
First time I saw this part I couldn't stop laughing for hours....especially when they did the hitler salute. 😂
Do you see two flags in the scene one flag is Norway flag and the other one is an exact one that was used by the Confederate States of America I'm not talking about the Battle Flag the other one that was authorized by the Confederate Congress
Funny as hell
Tire tracks from previous take can be seen.
True, lol!!
Yes I love that one! He looks so cute when he's like ' witch one?'
I wonder if all that was in the original script was some things were improvised…
There's a funny blooper from the filming of that scene
Yup; the brakes fail on the motorcycle!
Is he calling Newkirk "Bootsie," or something that sounds like it?
That is an impressive temper tantrum.
Hogan was calling him 'Putzi'...it's a German nickname, a term of endearment, LOL! Just something to make the scene even funnier! Did you notice that while Hogan was knocking everything off the counter, Newkirk brought up his hand and flicked the banana really quick? I wish we knew why he did that, lol.
imagine how pissed General Hoffenburger would've been if he'd seen that he'd missed that banana! He probably would've burned the entire hotel down!
+Andrew V. its Hogan btw
@@andrewv.9142 *Himmelberger
What kind of flags were those?
@krystalframe : That's one of mf favorites too...from season 6, 'The Meister Spy'!
@Sarah329487 : That's one of mf favorites too...season 6, 'The Meister Spy'!
Did you see his monicle fall out lol
@austinmcrawford I've been wanting to see that one too!
Hey no matter what I Ms Carter in some there plot's
3:10 Someone wasn't thinking that others would pay attention. There were two gold vases at the bottom of the staircase to begin with. He shatters the right one. Cut scene to Hogan grabbing a "different" gold vase. When he turns around to toss that one the left vase is gone. All soldiers were at attention so they could not have moved it. Tacky lol.
What do we do if they don't bring out the girl?
"WE go to the Russian Front!" 😂
cool to see the norwegian flag upon the wall here
It is. :)
@7coco3 : Maybe it really DID smack his hand...look at the face he makes. LOL!
I thought this scene was well overdone. Also, why the Norway flag in the hotel?
That's not the flag of Norway...
I feel like Hogan is overacting a little, but yes, Newkirk is adorable
He was. But then again he wasn't lol. Hitters staff were known to be a bit eecentric lol
Shooting someone in the leg and sending them to the Russian front sounds like something they should have did
is it just me ore is it a norwegen flagg in the back round
3:25 and 3:28. 😂
"Isn't he cute?" lol I love when people put that in the description
Love the show but Crane couldn't do a German accent to save his life.
Hmm.
Pouthitler et Hitler se ressemble beaucoup mentalement
I hate political correct modifications of historical flags, etc. Damn YT.
See it's easy to move the Republican party.
Especially Mr Crow ....
Unfortunately for him . I doubt I will be pleased to meet him.
Noted Mars DCXLIV 🤴♍🇺🇸🇮🇹🏴☠️🧹🦇🐢🔮.
It actually was a little laboured and unfunny. The breaking everything in site stuff. It was almost as if the episode was running short and they needed more footage to pad it out.
Unfunny? Putzi, this man will be transfered to the Russian front, courtmartialed, shot, hanged and married to Gertrude Linkmeier!
@@u.v.s.5583 No! Not THE Gertrude Linkmeier! The woman whose husband *HAD HIMSELF, TRANSFERRED to THE RUSSIAN FRONT!*
It was hilarious! lol
Everything in site (sic) except a passing grade in English.
