This is fire. (I mean, what can you say when they harmonize even their runs…!!!) And Daryl Ong Leads you directly to BuDaKhel (Bugoy, Darly and Michael), which lead you to Katrina Velarde and their cover of the Boys2Men classic with Mariah „One Sweet Day“. And Katrina is a treasure trove on her on, and I am not even talking about Gigi De Lana…!

I like your reactions Daz..., but it's not the water. Karaoke machines were actually invented in the Philippines, and approximately 80% of homes have one because many, many families have the tradition of singing after supper for a couple of hours instead of watching television. In other words, a huge percentage of the population has been singing in imitation of famous western singers since they were little kids, which is why they produce more incredible singers per capita than any other country. The perfect example is Katrina Velarde's Impersonating Singers 3 where she imitates Ellie Gould, Shakira, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Cristina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Beyoncé and Jessie J while filming herself and holding a baby on her knee!
I love this concept, here in the UK most families live for TV (including most of mine) and its a staple for evening entertainment. Having a karaoke session after dinner is not only a great way for families to bond more but it builds amazing singers as the Philippines has shown. I have so many more artists to cover ☺

Callum Scott was in The Phillippines this year. He sang Heaven with Darren Espanto, who was born and raised in Calgary, Canada to Filipino parents. Darren Espanto sometimes sings with Morissette Amon.

Lewis! Leona's executions of the song doesn't harmonized with Cslum Vocals! and MORISSETTE and Daryl's Harmonized eith each other! Morissette's Voice is so strong and powerful abd it resonates so Beautiful the Clarity of Her Vocals is Amazing!

I like the Scott and Lewis version but think I would prefer to listen to this one too.
Here is the problem, what are we looking for, good vocalist, good singers... idealy both. But I am afraid I see here only good vocalists. Don't take me in a second. Polish, yes, well done, yes! But empty, no soul or character. So expected, no surprises so many sing like this. Commercial from top to bottom. End at the end , boring.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and for me I have really enjoyed listening to Morissette and Daryl Ong. I understand what you are saying about covering the commercial stuff but from what I have seen there is more to them than that. I have only just started listening to these two singing their covers and for I would not say they are empty with no soul or character. Far from it. Everybody has a story and from what I have learnt Morissette's is one of never giving up no matter how many doors are slammed in her face.
@@Dazza010 Those two have made a choice, not the song but there ability to sing, and this is only question of technics not very interesting for the listener, except for professionals. That's one category I call "performers". My taste goes to Singers with a big "s". Those who care for the song first, giving depht, true meaning...Those who have this absolute talent to make us forget technics..Astaire, Billie, Ella, Frank, Angelina Jordan..Those are the greats
