Live that you included all those cute cards from the kids.
I have lived in constant pain for 20 years. A doctor cut my nerves & gave me an infection that tok a months to get rid of. Then the doctor who was going to fix me made me so much worse that I couldn’t even walk or get in the bathtub without help. My health has been deteriorating & the pain getting worse lately. Mentally & spiritually it is tough to live this way with no hope for the future. As a Protestant, I’ve found that the saints & Redemptive Suffering have been helpful. We need to spread these teachings to save lives; redemptive suffering gives you purpose even if you can’t do anything but lie in bed in pain. The saints make you feel that you aren’t alone. There’s a reason why suicide is so high among those suffering from a chronic disease, & it’s because humans must have a purpose & be of service to the world or you lose the will to live. Redemptive suffering gives you a purpose even if you’ve lost your ability to speak, move, you can offer up your suffering & pray quietly in your mind. Glad you are healing from your surgery. 💒
