What's up guys! I decided to pick up this great little acoustic electric guitar combo set as a Christmas present this year. I'm loving this guitar so I thought I would make an unboxing and review video for it!

Are the strings high off the frets? I have an old acoustic guitar and the strings are kinda high making it harder to reach and press down.

Very nice guitar you have I have eight guitars all made left handed cause I'm a lefty my last guitar I bought at amazon a LYX telecaster for 109 dollars I tell you it great maple finish neck even a telecaster vintage bridge I love it great action great amp sound etc

On a lower cost acoustic electric guitar package like this, I think it's preordained that it,'s going to come with cheapo strings, A cheapo tuner, (some only send a cheapo pitch pipe), cheap amp and gig bag. If this guitar is decent, and the amp works(I wish we could buy it without that amp for like $100-$125), it's probably not a bad deal. Epiphone has a package with the PR4E acoustic electric and a decent acoustic amp that starts at $270. Mitchell has a similar kit I think runs about $170. I'd like to get a new acoustic electric with an active pickup, like this one. Sounds like you like yours. How is it holding up for you currently?

I owned the guitar for quite a while and personally I gotta say it amazing for beginners and for a hundred dollar guitar it sounds amazing. Only problem I've had was with the tuner because it always makes my guitar out of tune.
ZK I tend to agree with you. I do not care for the tuner that came with the guitar bundle. It seems to always put my guitar a half step down for whatever reason haha
Hey andrew! I was just wondering, what makes guitars that are great for beginners different from guitars for those who really know how to play/ have played for a long time? (Besides the price ofc)
Fair question! Lots of factors play into it, type of wood the guitar is made out of, types of frets, pickups, and technology behind how a guitar sounds will be far superior from say a company like Taylor as opposed to a less expensive guitar you can find on Amazon

How do you replace the battery?
Well I got the battery in the guitar and the amp is turned but the sound from the guitar isn’t going through the amp so I don’t know what’s happening?
How many others quit this video 30-seconds in for his gawdy Xmas sweater?
The only issue I have is that the fret markers might be a little rough because when I bend there's a scraping sound and feel. I imagine I'll need to smooth them out some how to avoid damaging the strings. Other than that this thing sounds amazing!
Just take the strings off, and use fine steel wool on the frets, to make them super smooth, then put new strings on.
Guitar control needs 9V, connection is springs, make sure nothing between springs and battery clips. Button and red light is to test battery has juice. There's 2 volume controls 1 on amp and 1 on guitar, turn amp volume all the way up, and use volume control on guitar to adjust volume.
Tuner takes cr2032 battery. Videos on RUclips show how to tune. Glen Burton controller has 5 settings click button to change thru them. C G B U V G=guitar V=violin ect.
After watching again, I noticed Andrew's controls has slightly different layout than mine. Battery light only comes on when button pressed to see if battery has juice.

Use 9 volt battery
Great video. I just got one for Xmass but doesn't turn on. Is any switch to turn on? I did test the amplifier with an electric guitar and works.
Pablo Flamenco hi Pablo! Chances are you are missing the battery that goes inside of the guitar. The battery needed is a 9v battery and you’ll need to pinch the two side tabs located near the control panel on the guitar and lift up to reveal where the battery goes. If you have any questions please let me know

Pablo Flamenco you tested the guitar with batteries and it still did not work? Try using the cable that came with it with a guitar that you know works and check to see if the cable it faulty.
Thanks Andrew. I did test the cable, it works. What I saw on your video was that red light from the equalizer and mine doesn't light up.
Pablo Flamenco the red light did not turn on until the volume knob was turned up. Once you lower it to zero there was a small “click” and the red light turned off. It certainly is possible that you got a defective guitar, but it’s best to check everything before sending it back 😊
I just got this for my birthday. Mine didn't come with any batteries.

Adriana Gonzalez hi Adriana! Make sure the amplifier switch is turned to on (it’s on the front top right side of the amp) and maybe also check the volume knob on the actual guitar

Update is that the guitar is still awesome! Been using it ever since I got it and it still sounds great and has not broken or decreased in quality at all

Hayden Losch mine came with a battery for the included tuner, but not for the actual guitar
Mine was opposite. Came with unopened Energizer Max 9V, but no CR2032 for tuner.😜

Amazon has these at $139.99 in black. They have a natural finished one too, but Amazon won't ship that one to me in Hawaii. But, they will ship the black one.

I just got this guitar. My tuner won't turn on. Is there somthing I have to do to the battery to get it to turn on? Or is my tuner just a dud?

Often they ship with a thin layer of plastic over the battery that you have to peel off.

The amp should not need any batteries because it plugs into a normal wall outlet
Thank you learned from the video as a beginner I didn't know new strings take time to stay tuned ect.Also the audio was great even watching on a Android phone minus the sweater it's extremely loud ....jk lol
