The drone view says it all .... that's what America is all about people, makes you feel proud !!! That planter is huge!!! Just like your cows!! Lol... God bless you and thank you for all the hard work.🙏
Another great video! The fields look great. All the hard work will pay off. "There will be a gap and everyone in the County will be talking about you" 🤣🤣🤣 Great life Kip! GOD Bless you and your family.
Dad looked like he was having fun . I miss the field work on the farm . I liked plowing and disking and planting . Love them old White tractors & Oliver's .
We have been planting beans and corn for 10 days . We have had a 3 day rain out but it dried up enough to do some beans today . Unfortunately it's going to rain tomorrow so it's looking like Thursday before we can go again. Dad is spraying what we've planted into standing rye to burn down the rye . I'm going to run all night to get everything done once dad finishes what he's spraying . Great video keep up the good work!
Here in early 1960's Nebraska, Dad tried to cash in on saving the 3rd cutting for alfalfa seed. He bought a used "fanning mill." We kids had to help. It was a fine dust coming from the seed. It burned up my nose. I was about 8 years old. My job was holding the sack where the precious seed came out of the clean screen.
Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting and enjoyable. The drone footage of the field work was outstanding. Reminds you how important farming in America is!!!!! Put an old American flag on one of the rigs to show off our country. I notice most of your tractors how fenders on the front wheels. Like that. Keeps trash off the tractor. Neat!!!!!! Busy busy time for all of you. Equipment to get ready and seed to load and fertilizer. Takes time to get ready to head for the field. Those two big John Deere tractors just buzzing along. Know what you mean by making sure the field is done correctly. Prevents the neighbors from digging at you about your mistakes. Oh my, been there done that before. Ha. We never had auto steer or cabs in my day. Amazing what is available to the farmer now days. Makes the day a lot easier especially the long hard days. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Kip. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
fantastic video thanks so much and you have so much ground to cover. I always love the spring planting but all so the whole year of farming. Great coverage video Kip.
Glad you in the feild s. We planted our oats and seeding in pa this weekend. Actually could use shower. Started tillage for corn and beans. Hopefully you have great planting season
I hope non farmers see your channel to realize all the time and effort that go into producing the food and dairy that goes on their tables. Great drone footage Kip.
Thanks for yet another great video good to see the old 4020 still in action, you have a very impressive awesome setup with your equipment and barns thank you keep the videos coming
You said that you were planting Wheat and Hay (different grasses I assume). So I guess that means your feeding Wheat mixed with Hay (small % Hay to Wheat 20%?) since you said you'll be running a Hay bine over it so you used a roller packer after seeding for better soil to seed contact and to keep rocks down so you don't ruin the Hay bine. Do you have to use a Hay bine because you're harvesting Wheat, or does it process the whole crop better? Do you feed Wheat because of nutrition, better yield for your area/soil, cost or all or most of the above? Really curious about how farms work I notice dairy farms seem to like to feed silage and beef farms tend to feed hay and may supplement with grains and different cattle do better on different grasses etc. Hope I didn't drop too many questions on you, someday I hope to get into farming or at least homesteading as a retirement.
You guys better catch up we got Corn 12 inches tall already here in south Virginia. Next week first cutting of hay starts . Working on this hay bine I bought finding its a can of worms 🪱 I just opened. Good luck on the planting love your videos
That is quite the drill!

NO GPS 👀🙃 I know never had it either while we farmed but as an old farm hand working for a BTO it sure is nice auto steer !! Thanks KIP ,!!
👍👍
pretty sweet setup!!!
Great video
Planting spring wheat? How does that turn out? Grew up in Indiana and never heard of anything but winter wheat.....
Seeding hay but using wheat as a cover crop on it
We used oats as a cover crop in spring, or winter wheat. When do you combine and what kind of yield?
2:55 that left front wheel 🤔
Why do you do the wheat/alfalfa mix? What does it help? And is it better than grass/alfalfa or just straight alfalfa?
Awesome !!!!!!
What class of soils do you have. Probably different than here in southern Nebraska.
Very fertile, very black
Feeding the algorithm, cheering on Let’s go Brandon!
👍👍
What make and model Drone do you use?
Where did you get fender for front of the 4020?

Kip why don’t they let you drive any of the tractors in the field,do you have a bad reputation with farm tractors?
They do but someone has to keep track of the cattle and keep everything moving
Is that a gas 4020?
Looks like it!?
Don't dare want the neighbors to see that
At time 6:28, that's why I have hernias now
😄
