This was one of my favourite cars, when I was a teen (besides the Jaguar XJS). Now the remarkable thing is, that my biological grandfather, to whom I had no contact, bought one. So apparently the fondness for this car is heritable!
J’adore vos vidéo prv j’ai 14ans et c’est pour moi un rêve d’avoir une aussi belle pièce de collection merci de nous partager ceci en plus les deux mains sur le volant donc un vrai pilote 👍😉
bought my 348TS in 1998. Since then I’ve owned more than 40 sports cars and currently have a collection of 25. Included in that number are 2 - Porsche 911s (Turbo and Speedster), Ferraris (430, 16M, 360, 575SA, F50), McLaren 720S, Lotus 2-11, E30 and E46 M3s, etc. I still have my 348 and still adore it! BTW, I change my own fluids so I only bring it in for the big PM every 8 years or so. My last PM was $9000 and included: new belt, new water pump, all fluids, modification of the power windows so they are faster, and paint repair of the targa roof. In short, if you stay away from the dealer they are cheap to own. BUY ONE!
Hey Charlie, I own myself a '97 F355 GTS and I'm absolutely in love with it! I've always been skeptical about the 348 as Montezemolo (ex chairman of Ferrari) once said " It's a shit car " but after having driven it, I changed my mind. There's a big difference compared to the F355 though, the 348 feels more raw and dangerous if pushed at high speed. Steering and gearbox are like the Testarossa, quite heavy but the steering is lovely because it's not power assisted (unlike the F355). Overall I'd say the F355 is superior under every point of view and if you get to drive both you feel there's a big gap between them but the 348 is a good car imho.
@@MarchettinoEN that’s why I want a 348 so much actually, because it is raw and more basic. I drove a 458 on track a couple of years ago and was kind of disappointed by how assisted and almost dull it felt. I also know the 348 isn’t without its flaws, I guess I have to drive one to make a better opinion on it. Thanks for the reply though, is your F355 manual or with the F1 transmission ?
@@Charlie-Charlot I’d say: go for the 348! I was deciding between a 348 and a F355 and chose the 348, because I was not looking for ‘the best’ car but rather the most raw, most exciting one. The unassisted steering of the 348 is an absolute revelation and makes the car feel like a go-kart. Everything is old school and basic about it, but I think it’s really nicely done. The orange dials are fantastic, and there is enough leather to give it a bit of a luxury feel, but nothing plush - you’ve still got the feeling you’re driving a dressed-up racing car. As Marchettino said, the F355 is better, but the 360 is miles ahead of the F355 and so on. The beauty of cars this age is they can be enjoyed for their own qualities, not having to be compared to the latest and greatest.
Another 348 owner here. I've always loved the compact package with Testarossa looks and detachable roof. The 348 was literally my dream car come true. The only thing I really wanted from the F355 was the engine note (not even the power, as both are quite irrelevant by today's standards). But after fitting a Capristo system to it, the circle is complete and she's just perfect for me.
Thanks guys for sharing your experience with this car, I’ve heard that it has a tendency to oversteer quite dramatically when pushed to the limit but I think modern grippy tires will handle this issue easily. Getting rid of the stock exhaust is also a must, I like the capristo but I’ve seen some really wild exhaust on RUclips that would better suit this car. If I buy one, I’d like to put wheels from the 360 on it, what do you guys think ? I now it is possible but could it ruin the ride quality ?
Beautiful car, but this made me anxious. Let me show you how to drive it brother 😂. Just kidding. I’d probably get myself killed driving it like it’s supposed to be driven. Like a race car. Awesome car man. Those little 3.6l v8 engines are music to my ears.

The engine in these is a masterpiece…..the 348 is underrated…
this is basically an N/A and smaller F40, it's incredible
Keep it underrated or else the prices will skyrocket
Sometimes you don't need to say anything, just let that V8 sing!🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️

It almost sounds even better at low rpm under load. Magnificent at all rpms really.

Looks like finally a car with no understeer

You also want one.? ☺️
Lovely sound! Tubistyle ?
Do you know the exhaust setup on this one?
Sounds stock to me
Def not stock.
Se guidassi una macchina del genere credo finirei nel prato alla prima curva ahah.
How is it to drive ? I really want one but can’t really find anything objective about how this car drives besides being compared to the F355

THE speed gauge ..not working?
gotta work on the rev matches, they seemed really off. Could be bad for the clutch, don't do it on a car like this if not mastered.
is this cambox?
