I love your review. You're open minded. I also know the moment I watched MV that this is a solid debut, not in terms of it becoming successful in the charts or general public. Music is subjective. For me, I like it because like you, I also thought this might be an introductory track for Meovv. The title track is a given and that big foot scene is so unserious and confusing as their trailers. I also appreciate that it's not experimental or a mish mash of so many songs into one like some kpop songs that even became a hit. For me, it's hip and almost consistent with some slight variations. I think it's a solid debut mv because they captured all of the members' voice colors, charms, and charisma. I fell in love with all of them with just one MV. I didn't expect Sooin to be my bias. Honestly, all of them have such strong presence and that was captured by the debut mv. I love that it's girl crush and hip hop but also not Black Pink. They're different and I love it.
I have zero complaints with their debut. The song is catchy, the members have GREAT vocals and obviously strong dance/choreo, their visuals are insane and the styling is gorgeous. It’s just so fun and fresh, and really solidified a clear image/identity straight from the bat. The song is a total earworm I’ve had it on loop all week. From their live stages, the girls look really confident and like they are having a blast performing together. Love it 🐱
THE HATERS ALLWAYS come out in force when a powerfull new group hits hard and they feel they may get more attention than the group they have a bias for
As a Blink and Monstiez, I think this song was actually amazing for them as their debut song. I don’t understand the hate train, it seems like everyone has something against YG/Black Label artists. This is the same shii they pulled when Babymonster came out with their first debut. This debut was great, it showed their vocal ability and also their rapping skills. I’m definitely a fan just by this song!
Everything I felt I about these girls, these guys said. Haven’t seen such a solid debut since New Jeans. These guys have been prepared and done right! Tight!
I loved it - it sounds fresh and the girls bring just the right amount of attitude to the concept (that could have been cringe if done wrong). It a strong debut, my second favorite this year (after BADVILLAIN, who brought out three bangers out the gate) and I'm looking forward to what they'll do next. So glad to have another hip hop focused group!
Tbh at first I didn't like the "yah yah yah" part, I liked the rest, but as the days gone by I started to really like it and now this song lives in my head 24/7 xD they're very charismatic and have amazing voices, I'm excited to see what else they bring ♥
Loved this debut. My only gripe is that I wish the two verses could’ve been longer. But damn, this group is a PROBLEM. How did Teddy manage to put together a group where all 5 members got that main character energy? Will be watching their career (ascent?) closely.

My 2yo is yelling, sick! Sick! Now 😅 I'm a teddy fan so I love this style. This song showed their vocals a lot and teddy did a good job trying to give them a unique song which is hard. Teddy's music has changed over time through every generation. His songs don't sound like 2ne1 songs 🤷

I'm honestly not sure if I like this or not. The 'meow meow meow' part I didn't really enjoy and the chorus got repetitive which doesn't shock me considering it's black label. But I love their vocals and rapping and the verses were cool. So yeah, still kinda confused about it.
@@megankeightley9018 It's sort of what killed my enjoyment of BP songs. Although I did really enjoy Lovesick Girls. Teddy and Black Label really go for the repetitive empty style choruses and it just isn't for me. I'm still hopefulfor Meovv though, we'll see how things change in the future

IKR. Everyone was underestimating Gawon and Anna but they have such strong energy. Honestly, as a group, no one is lacking at all.
