I was at this concert with "tix for nearly nix" and we were upstairs, front and centre - best seats in the house. The husband and I voted this our Concert of the Decade. She was mesmerising. Brilliant.
I had a passing familiarity with PJ Harvey as a rock performer. This performance has grabbed me by the neocortex and won't let me go. Stunning imagery. Song writing at its best. Deep respect to PJ Harvey.

PJ Harvey plays an Autoharp during the first few songs. Not sure who made hers, but Oscar Schmidt is the name brand I found related to older models of the instrument. They come in different number of strings, and chords. The horizontal bars are the chords. She plays beautifully!

Mick Harvey and John Parish, She has this incredibly talented instrumentists and songwriters. Mick harvey made 2 albums of serge gainsbourg's covers in english. I thought it was a silly idea till I listened the albums, they were amazingly produced and orchestrated.
Some may say she does not rock any more, but they can't see how much she has grown as a song writer and performer. Come back to Sydney soon Poly we love you.
As long as she's not cawing like a crow ;-) (but there's no danger) I've seen this show in 2011 in Munich and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
