People fishing bait with multiple rods generally leave more hooks in fish that those fishing with a single. More care needs to be taken cleaning impoundment fish for this reason.

Use atleast 30 pound braid and 30 or up pound clear leader if you're gonna go for cod. Don't want to hook on a 1m fish and lose it around a snag or something so prepare for the worst. I run 50 pound braid and 50 pound leader no worries and it doesn't effect casting or anything if you've got a good rod. And also when you do get a snag you can really yank it without worrying about snapping line ect...
