What I really like about this, is that there's clearly a lot of time and thought put into this. It's not one chart that keeps repeating. Every single chart is different, a lot of thought into every beat, all to create this one wicked, off the hooks mad, tune.
Paradox is sick on every level. My friend booked him in San Francisco and his set was soooo good. Love love love love him - one of the best in the biz and a true musician.
Wow, the drum work on this tune is next level. Honestly, I never heard anything like it, maybe some Breakage tunes come close, but this is absolute madness.

I juat discovered this. I can't imagine what I was doing in 04 that caused me to miss this, but better late than never. Bought a copy too. Worth every penny!
Jeez, let me catch my breath a minute! I swear I heard this in about '96 at Tribal Gathering in the UK. I've been trying to find a tune/style for about 20 years that I heard there - Grooverider and Fabio were playing at 6:00am and I can remember hearing these tunes - and one - the snare, for some reason, sounds like a flute to me, that weird top end shriek to each snare hit, rolling and rolling and bouncing and rollin an rolling and rolling rolling. And I swear this is the tune I've been trying to find all these years. Maybe it's just the style - but, for me, this is it, this is it. How can music like this hit so hard on so many levels? - the body, the mind, the emotions. It certainly sets off my synesthesia too - however it's spelt. In fact, it is perfect synesthesia music. The repetition and ambience is the background painting and the endless dynamic variations and breakbeat splicing brings the painting to life with movement. So, when I hear this, I have to close my eyes, so I can watch what's going on. Someone very clever once said to me that "music is subconscious thought". I think he was right.
fuck i smoked too much and got paralyzed for like 20 mins while having some alaska track playing in headphones and this thing got autoplayed next... i'm traumatised af
thanks for this haven't really been able to buy vinyl since ~2000, so nice to catch up on some dev rekkids in some way, even if I can no longer get the wax.
James Curry not resampling, IIRC he programs all his breaks in midi on octomed on an amiga, controlling an akai for the samples through a hardware desk. Probably has a SCSI drive & wall of disks by now of different breaks. pop one in, then goes mad programming.

Still makin' basically drum'n bass. Since 1995, I've been makin all sorts of shit. I can tell you there is more than a million ways to mix and do, and finish your final tracks. But, hey you're right. I've also been mixin myself when there's so much material, that you can have fun just mixing.
The snare on this. "I am a snare. I am loud. Fucking hear me."
When Paradox happens to you, you'll never be same. Bare metal dnb, the core, the essense.
Play this as loud as possible at my funeral. Please and thank you
Read, laughed and understood. Nod of respect.
Play twice before listening
Sounds like Dom and Roland
I hear ya 👌🏻
I would too.
Why does the Amen always send shivers up my spine? It has ruled my life and I love it!!!!!
Nothing will ever replace it. Once you've heard it on E you're fkd.
Cuz tha AMEN does rule our lives🫵😜👍
Its the spice of life. He who controls it controls the universe !
goosebumps when that distorted kick starts demolishing everything in sight
what the fuck, i never ever listened something like this, fucking love it, fucking love that distorted amen
That amen punches in there like a bank robbery, this tune is awesome.

Holy shit, only just discovered this today 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Pro Tip: Never attempt to write while listening to this song. It's hard to concentrate on the paper when your head can't stay still.
LMAO I thought you wrote some Lovecraft shit with this
Writing with music in general is quite distracting. I can only listen to music if I am doing something that doesn't require much conscious effort.
LOL
I find it hard to write anyway, this gives me pure seizures.
Hahaha i have been through the same, but i have been through the opposite too
This song still gets played everyday, we can all easily agree that the breaks from 2:11 is the best.
Cheat mode enabled when you drop this in the dance
The filters on this are fkn sick, big ups
I like the resonance
these breaks could break your neck if you´re not careful
lmao!!
Zhegge Man hehe :) '[⊙,.●]'
found you! toaster
Zhegge Man Yep, from headbangin too hard!
Too late 🙏
Greatest use of Amen ever?
Paradox is sick on every level. My friend booked him in San Francisco and his set was soooo good. Love love love love him - one of the best in the biz and a true musician.
It’s not paradox
This that "Bring the noise!" right here. Something vicious, wicked, and dark being cooked up on the beat. *MASSIVE*
Wow, the drum work on this tune is next level. Honestly, I never heard anything like it, maybe some Breakage tunes come close, but this is absolute madness.
ask your elders
This record should come with a warning label. This is also what the apocalypse sounds like. End of the world shit right here.
Ye
That sample sounds like it's from the movie The Entity. Sick af 🔥
The needle unfortunately skips at 1:05 and 1:41
Dusty analogue life...
Whatever, still a fucking blast!
dark as you like
This track has one hell of a kick in it.
this is possibly the most brutal dnb track I've ever heard
Tech Itch - Death Jazz is a solid contender for that
Need this on wax and mp3 funkin sic . Cant stop playing it ✋✋✋
Audacity, set recording device to (loopback) from whatever your output device is
wow this is huge, that filtered, distorted break is well fucking crafted, never heard distortion like that on a break before, bigup
4:46 onward is just straight up filthy
I've gotta say, this has to be my favourite drum and bass tune yet, this is savage, I've just wet myself with pleasure!!!
I hope you're a female lol

Right up there with Photek & Remarc in my top 3 Producers of break chopping & processing!
+Boris The Blade Agreed 100%
There's so many Paradox songs out there with crazy drum breaks and cuts its ridiculous. Dudes a master of drumfunk.

Steven Roberts paradox ,certain sound might be the toon at 96
Bang on about the "closing your eyes" comment mate! Makes the sound come to life........
amental, old school breakcore even
or dark jungle, or junglecore
Again, probably not in the right release timeframe, but I reckon Perhaps the Future's snare sounds even more like a flute than this one.
Now THIS tune is what I call a BANGER!!! Cant stop listening to this, brilliant for annoying the neighbours!!! 🔥🔥🔥
One of the greatest s songs of all time
got this on vinyl somwhere :) Paradox on of the most underground producers in the jungle/dnb scene!!! King of the breaks along with bizzy b!!!
cant forget Remarc

your response is immature and tbh it sounds more stupid than mine...cheers..fuck head!

not resampling, IIRC he programs all his breaks in midi on octomed on an amiga, controlling an akai for the samples through a hardware desk. Probably has a SCSI drive & wall of disks by now of different breaks. pop one in, then goes mad programming.
