Yeah guy had a canon and made some plays and had a 10-6 year in 2003 and got a playoff birth but lost to Carolina, which wasn’t surprising. Dude just couldn’t stay clean :(
Symptoms of a bad team, couldn’t finish, blew leads and made mistakes by the many, love the highlights though! As a Cowboys fan who grew up in Corpus Christi, TX watching these games when I was just 7. I will always love them no matter how terrible they are lol.
It was more about control of the locker room than anything else. Emmitt was larger than life in that locker room. And on a Parcells team there’s not room for two larger than life figures. The exception was LT. But Parcells was basically his football father. He wouldn’t have that with Emmitt.
Looking at the scores and how they could easily score with below average qb's, if they had a Kirk Cousins level QB during 2000-2002, they make the playoffs.
Yeah, I always felt sorry for Campo. He probably wasn't a great coach but he never got a real chance. Dallas had traded 2 first round picks for Joey Galloway, who blew out his ACL in game one and they had almost no money to sign anyone because Aikman, Irvin and Deion were still on the books getting paid.
I'm trying to find footage of that pregame spectacle where a horse and rider burst through a paper banner right at kicker Seder and the poor guy had to run for his life or be trampled. That was so funny. Poor guy was doing warm ups and then had to flee from a wild animal. I liked Stoerner. I don't understand why the Cowboys gave up on him.
They were that desperate. I swear to God Jerry Jones was coaching this team from behind the scenes. Campo was only there so as to avoid conflict of interest.
Man, I wish I had those games, I love the '99 season. But unfortunately, I don't have any of those games. I started recording every game to VHS in 2000. If you haven't visited Timmy Johnson's channel, you should, he's probably got a lot of those games.
I was more excited about being Cowboy fan then with these atrocious 5-11 teams because atleast then we had hope...All hope is lost now this team will never win again until new leadership takes over
Yeah, that's why they're so short. Haha. I originally started doing this because I wanted to preserve the Emmitt runs that would never be shown on ESPN. It was soon apparent that Emmitt was on his last legs and there wasn't much worth preserving. Oh well, I still enjoy seeing some of the old players.
Yeah, they had traded two first round picks for Joey Galloway and they were still paying money to Deion, Aikman and Michael Irvin. So they had no picks and no money. And had Dave Campo at their head coach.
So bittersweet to see some footage from the middle of the dark ages of the cowboys
Dude thank you so much. Was a kid growing up in Arlington, TX watching all the suckage for years.
Suckage Since 1995
This wasn't bad. Bad was 1-16 when Troy came into the league lol
Nat Nguyen and Dexter coakley.....them boys
dat*
It’s crazy that this year was Brady’s first super bowl.
Thank you for doing these i was 1yrs old when this season even started 🤣 forgot Quincy carter was our Qb for a min

Emmitt should never been let go. He was still better than hambrick and anybody parcells brought in.
Hambrick never lived up to his #2 Role behind Emmit. Woodrow Danzler, Avon Cason, Michael Wiley, nor did Anderson. Julius Jones Did for one Season

@@joerules829 your right. Bill had to have complete control. He couldn’t have any big name players opposing his rule.
He should’ve been let go sooner so we could’ve got a boat load on a trade for him
@@Novadababy No shit

It will teach this team how to be complete finish Excute stay focused hungry sharp together Mike McCarthy 💪
We dem Boyz. Even when I was 11... We were dem Boyz
If we ain't have nothing else although they were old that o line was rock steady and that front 7 cuuuuhd LAWD Saints YESSUH YESSUH
Defense look how hungry sharp locked in together aggressive discipline in every area beings complete
Still wish Dallas had given storner more of a chance to play and develop. Never gave him a chance. Was a lot better than Carter or leaf!
Go get it together as a team Dallas
Swinton was electric
I had forgotten about him. He really was a brighter spot in a bad season
The black years with Dave Campo.

Notice how often the refs got in the way in this era
Did Stoener get hurt too?
Anthony Wright was Q. Carter lite
Swinton was doin his thang
Just to stick it to Jerry. Aikman should have played for Andy Reid when he called him. Would have been interesting to see him play under him
I’m such a homer. I had high hopes for this team.
What highlights?
I forgot Ryan leaf played for dallas
They were that desperate. I swear to God Jerry Jones was coaching this team from behind the scenes. Campo was only there so as to avoid conflict of interest.
Can you do the 1999 Dallas Cowboys?

@@joewanke6000 ... Afraid not. I only have from 2000 to present.
Lol dam we sucked this year
Big time. We had no 1st round pick, (Joey Galloway trade) and no money, (still paying off Deion, Troy and Michael Irvin).
I forgot Sean Payton was with the Giants

Wow they were really trash 🗑 I forgot about these horrible players they were putting put there
