I believe the internals are same as a pressure washer wand, the gun is rated for 350 is because it lacks a wand so OSHA requires 350psi. Happy to be wrong on this if that’s the case 😊
So , im putting together a 1000psi. 8.45 gpm 7hp , Super cheap pressure washer, just to see how it will work. About $500. Total, and i planned on using this gun ? No Good ??? Thanks in advance for any help
Yo man keep me posted. I was looking at doing the same thing. Looking at a 6.5hp with 10-12gpm and flow actuated unloader. Wanted super low psi for a downstream setup only
could you take gun apart and compare with a with a standard gun that comes with machine or an aftermarket gun and show the parts side by side in a video and what makes this gun only handle 300psi ?
Great Video, spike can be way higher FYI that 3000 , use a pressure tip it will spike at 9000. Does that mean that gun rated 4500 will blow? NO because its rated 3 to 1 .... The video is great, but you called yourself a Jerkoff. I have been using the gun for 30 years glad to be a part of the Jerk off Club. LOL I will post the video as you explained it better than my video. I tell them to adjust at the lock and use a ball valve if they are scared. If you look at the GP chart the gun with a lance is rated 3500 and 1800 psi. SO I will argue its rated higher just doesn't have a lance so OSHA requires a lower PSI rating incase a moron hooked something that could actually drive it 3500 PSI
Im on board with Bill on this one...and ive publicly said it in my videos too...some people are saying the whole osha thing and they cant put higher pressure ratings on the red gun ..im calling BS...the seal types and seal riders on the gun are not rated for 3 to 4kpsi(robin tg wash did a good job documenting this when he did it and then followed up with a gun disassembly and the damage inside)...thank you bill for trying to induce a little common sense...sorry most of the YT crowd is more in to fancy edited videos and highlight reels of how theyre "killing it out there"...dont think it will stick...
The pressure wash channel, if set up the way you have it in video to make sure pressure never exceeds recommendations would this gun even be worth using on a 5.5gpm machine, or is the flow to weak?
I am new to pressure washing and have a 3500 psi machine is this how I can control the pressure at the nozzle by putting a ball valve and turning it down or leaving the trigger cracked open a little ? I am trying to get a soft wash out of my high pressure sprayer I don't want to buy a soft wash system after paying 9000 for the unit I have now.
I just got into the business too. I got a 4000psi and 4gpm, I bought this gun from general pump, the blue one. But I don't think I can use it with my system.
First of all these are made for low pressure systems not a full blown pressure washer there are other wands and handles to use. Don't go buy something to modify it for something it's not designed for. You not only are a fool by putting a risk factor on yourself but you are a fool for not buying the proper tools
I've used this gun for 2 years now, just the way Joe does and I've had no issues, I do go through couple guns a year because of bleach and everyday use, I run in on my 8gpm, thanks for the information but not all of it os correct, so I could say I'm one of those idiots you talk about
What unloaded Valve do I need to get? I just got one of these guns and want to run it on my Honda gx390 with a 4gpm cat pump. Haven’t found any good answers . Hoping you can help me out ! Thanks
I can almost guarantee you nothing will happen if that gun is used with 3,000 PSI. The internals on that gun are made better than most pressure washing guns.
The red gun is a pistol. I do believe the psi rating is so low because without a lance, it’s not safe to recommend such high pressure close to the body. I bet if it came with a long lance, the psi rating would be the same as all of the other guns.
I would agree with you. You know 100% there are guys putting hundreds of hours on these with 3500psi machines and no issues. I did enjoy the video but suspect this may perhaps not be accurate.
K7 unloader takes the pressure off. You are telling the truth but you don't know the way to use it with a pressurewasher. I made a video using one if you want to watch.
You are wrong. The information you have is only right in some cases. If you are running a Trap Pressure Unloader, yes you are correct. But if you run a flow actuated unloader, the gun never sees that kind of pressure. When you let off of the gun on a Flow actuated unloader, the hose is limp and there is no pressure in the line or at the gun. So this is bad information.
@@thepressurewasherschannel9109 Are you using a Flow or Pressure actuated unloader? Joe Deery is using a flow actuated unloader and does the same exact pressure test at the gun as you just did and there is zero spike in pressure when letting off of the gun.
Sorry but the manufacture will not warrantee if used this way and they tell all vendors to only sell these to use with soft wash, low pressure systems. This is NOT to be used with regular pressure washers, 3000-4000 psi, no matter what parts or unloader you are trying to use, to try to fool it to use it.
Its impossible to run that gun at 3500 PSI , it would take a machine much larger than you or i have seen in last 20 years. Get a Remote and you have the perfect softwash unit, been using them for 30 years. ONLY REASON ITS RATED 400 is OSHA regulations NO LANCE..... The guns not going to EXPLODE lets stop the NON-SENSE

That's what I've heard too. Can't confirm, haven't researched.
That's a great safety tip, thanks for passing it along. Do you have a "ball park" estimate on the size of the "stop" you added to your gun? Thanks.

Just to clarify, if you put the stop on there and use the ball valve, you can put this on any pressure washer? That’s ingenious

Greg said you were a freaking genius. And everyday you show that.
How is there 0 pressure? I don’t understand since the pump is pretty song water to the gun.
Where you buy the adapter quick connect to gun?
Can you put a link to that unloader up please and thankyou
Thank you Sir. Good knowledge and suggestion.
That is exactly how I have mine set up, good job for the video
You should tell powerful improvements about this cuz I know he just got one with his pressure washer
I think he made this video for powerful improvements
No spike he's using a pressure sensitive unloader as well.
Joe has the right unloader with his, uses it everyday no problem!! He mentioned it in his videos.
No issues all season
What hose is that?
What size is quick connect going into the swivel of red gun
Which unloader is that?
