I just bought the same saw and bar/chain combination. I haven't run the unit yet. My question is, have you noticed any metal chipping out of the rails of your guide bar?
If you have a few minutes, What fuel mixture do you run in your Holzfforma saws? I'm running 40 to 1 Stihl oil mix with BP 89 octane non ethanol gas. This g888 starts hard and floods easy. So far, it started once when I had the bar off of it, yesterday. Since then, it fires but won't start. Tomorrow I'm going to check the spark and see how good it is. Something is out of wack, either fuel adjustments, weak spark or the coil is not air gapped right. My Stihl ms 880 does not start this hard, and the frustration is building.
Thanks for responding man, I finally got it going this evening. What happened was than the alignment of the choke/on-off lever is just a bit off in each position, and I was giving the saw partial choke when not intending to and was flooding the engine. Ha, silly me! I'll say this, that saw destroys hardwood just like my Stihl 880 does! Thanks again.
@@jonnysnipes3123 look here buddy. I don't need your foolishness. I've had my saws apart at 50:1 and saw red armor all over my bottom end. You clowns can't learn anything. Your stuck in stupid of the 1970s . Stay there. Don't come here with your nonsense. Not interested.
Great video and cutting for stock form, that chain and wood 👌

Semi chisel and not as sharp as I would like

Ive heard from people to put a quality spark plug in as soon as u buy one cuz the one that comes with it is pretty bad
I'm still on the original
@@Broddi169 so than do u think people are wrong and the plugs arent that bad ?
Plugs can be hit or miss sometimes.
Does that bar weigh just as much as the normal Stihl bars (solid), or is it a light bar?
Standard pro bar
are you satisfied with the quality?
Yep. Impressive saw
