So his village was likely nothing but other low class people. Hence the government not wanting to support it in the first place. His wife didn't die because of a geological rock formation. This is despite the fact that I had managed to get my population higher than his and all his city-states combined. He effectively disabled a game feature for everyone else on the server and none of us could do anything about it. There is no way to defy resolutions even though 90% of the world’s population was under a trade embargo. Sorry for the rant but It’s to this day the most frustrating and unpleasant game experience I’ve ever had. PS: We couldn’t just declare war on him to get him to screw off because on top of him having all the city-states, he started on an island and played as England. English Ships-of-the-line are probably the biggest pile of BS in any game ever and made him impossible to invade until I researched submarines, and by the time I did he had already destroyed basically every single coastal city in the map. I cannot describe how angry this one game of civ5 made me.

I definitely don't say this often, (outside of comics) but this guy is a legitimate hero. He went through all that for no reason other then to make sure no one else in his village had to go through what he and his family had to go though.
This made me emotional. I love my wife and the thought of losing her. Wow. His strength is unmeasurable! I would not be able to survive without her. Not only did he fight through his grief he made sure no one would feel the pain he did. He did what the government should have done and what they truly needed to do. I imagine he saved countless lives by his heroics. I hope he lives on through the lives of those impacted, as he is truly a remarkable man.

I don't think "ignored" is the right word. Barely anybody knew he was doing this until he was finished and told people about it.

A truly and purely selfless act, he deserved better than his death allowed. A shame we rarely hear about people like him anymore.

I think after all that, he deserves more than a stamp as commemoration. Who knows how many people he's saved by working so long to make that road.
I definitely don't say this often, (outside of comics) but this guy is a legitimate hero.
He went through all that for no reason other then to make sure no one else in his village had to go through what he and his family had to go though.
This reminds me of that one Chinese proverb, "The Foolish Old Man Removes the Mountains" but he actually did it.

This made me emotional. I love my wife and the thought of losing her. Wow. His strength is unmeasurable! I would not be able to survive without her. Not only did he fight through his grief he made sure no one would feel the pain he did. He did what the government should have done and what they truly needed to do. I imagine he saved countless lives by his heroics. I hope he lives on through the lives of those impacted, as he is truly a remarkable man.
