I love the setup man ,yea we have never seen your setup
Glad you asked for the video - I didn't realize I never filmed a video of just the lights as they are.
that car isn't even broken in yet! And $3,100 is a steal
and I can't believe they left it equipped like that!
When I was in Indiana I see volunteer fire fighters use blue lights
Yep, that's my point exactly - the laws are very different from state to state. Good to know!
Missouri has blue and white for volunteer firefighters unless they changed it since 11 yrs ago when I was there.
He mentioned the Missouri tow truck operator having a siren, they also can run the red and blue lights when requested by the/a law enforcement officer to expedite a response to the scene, such as a dangerous section of roadway, entrapment of an occupied vehicle and other various reasons. Otherwise it’s strictly ambers!
@@gsettlemyre I gave you 👍cause you are correct I forgot about that part
@TURTLE 2010 and @gsettlemyr that is good stuff - shows exactly how different each state is when it comes to the lighting laws.
I so want that rear deck for my car
I have one for sale....Blue amber half and half. 500$ obo
@interceptor 279 I'm sure there's a few for sale out there in the world. I like that mine is original to the car, so I won't be selling it anytime soon.
Nevada requires a permit for Amber's too lol. But really if you aren't using the lights on the road you should be fine anyway. I plan on hooking up a green and white visor light for my vic
Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
@@TheCopCar no problem man 🙂
What an absolute score of a car
Thank you! It's definitely enjoying retirement.
I remember your set up :)
Thanks!
very nice setup. also in CA no reds or blues. well you can have them,, it just has to be clear.,, and also you cant turn them on. same with siren.
Thanks for the info!
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500 sure you can, you just cant turn it on in a public area on private property only. and thats really only to bump it. i know at least ten people that have sirens in there cars and trucks. some of them have everything in there cv. they are wired to lockout keys in the trunk for car shows and if you know a local cop you can ask him or her to stop by a car show and run the equipment. him and only him can do that.. if you have one in your car or truck and you run around town playing with it, you will eventually will piss off the local cops and they will take your car for it.
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500 also if you know any offroaders. the ones that like to do offroad events, they will have a big blue light in the back window and a pa 300 siren in there trucks, i own at least 3 or 4 of these sirens. pretty standard on ebay.
@@baddriversofthenorcalarea500 dont forget the electronic air horn. and yes the pa. and the siren, its a complete package. if you were to get a siren, i would recomend a federal signal unitrol touchmaster tm-4 . but dont buy the cheapest one, because they are pretty beat up by the time they are sold. alot of people love there crown vics, that they put them in show moad. and that is why you wont see alot of them on the streets as a daily driver. have you ever been to a panther platform car show?
I paid $3000 for my 2005 9C1 Impala. Got 151k now I believe. Had 79k on it when I bought it back in 2014
That's an awesome deal! I have a soft spot for the early 2000s Impala 9C1's, actually drove several of those when they were new. "SURV MODE" switch was a cool feature in those cars.
@@TheCopCar My car has that mode.
"NOT COP" but enough wacker lights to make Vegas jealous.. why? 🤔
Let me buy this unit 🥺 I do security and flagging this unit would be perfect
Thanks for the shout out
Any time
Got you a nice set up there bro
Thanks! I know you've seen it a few times.
@@TheCopCar yea just still looks nice
Your right about Calif and only in the area of san Francisco Calif I did see a standard style tow truck with red and blue lights with sirens I am guessing for all the bridges. Just a standard ambers prob wouldn't get much attention on the bridges. I was on a bridge and seen a tow truck like that. Thought it was pretty cool. I have a overlander 4x4 and I did put ambers on it for a few reason. Tomorrow I will try to send a quick video of it. Are you on instagram?
Yes, let me know when you send it, sometimes messages get buried.
@@TheCopCar sounds good. There will be a little delay because I was side tracked. I need to rewire the lights because I misplaced tools I needed to do the job the right way. It will be soon.
woo!
Thanks!
Enjoyed it man. I'm always surprised by how fully functioning that Vic is. Shocking it went to auction all decked out like that.
You and me both!
Just brought my 1st Vic a 2011 ex. MA state trooper 3.55 rear car. I have a ? in regards to the white CV with the 2014 5.0 wheels pictured on your home page next to the impala. Are those 19"x 9.5 wheels a direct fit or what's needed for clearance? Thanks
I mounted them on the car and they seemed to fit well, no spacers, no adjustments. Those were borrowed from a 50th Anniversary Edition Mustang. They definitely looked good on the car. I kind of want a permanent set.
Could u show what rear bar u have. And how u hooked it up to work with out a controller and still retain the left and right functions
This car came from the county setup "as is," configured exactly as it was in service - I just changed the colors of the lights to ensure they are legal. The rear light is a Whelen.
👍
Thanks!
I believe California and most other states green is for fire
I love these Vics. I've had multiple, daily driven multiple. Currently have 2. 2009 is my daily, have a 2008 that still has the cage and all kinds of other stuff, not sure what I'm doing with that one yet.
Right now is a good time to have two. Definitely fun cars!
Where did you find that front plate?
That vic looks amazing!
Thanks! It really needs a paint job - but all factory white ones need that.
First be back when video done
Appreciate it!
Allen I'm going to make a short video of my lights on my truck shortly. I don't know if you're subscribed to me or not. I don't do much on here but I will post this soon. Thanks bud.
Saw the quick teaser video yesterday - good stuff!
@@TheCopCar thanks I'm waiting for the other ones to get here
Oh 1000th view cool
