Hi! I made a mistake while applying for the exam. I entered the wrong date of my graduation. I haven't paid yet but I can't go back to the page where I entered my information. It just says pay balance. Is it okay to star a new application again or do i have to contact ASCP? Thanks in advance! 😊

Pamela Grace Pamela Grace As far as I know, I think you cant make a “new” account because the information you put in on your “wrong” account would match and thus making conflict on the “new” account. In my opinion, it would be best to contact ASCP via email or phone and ask them how you can correct it 🤓

Thank you for your video tutorial, Matt! I truly appreciate your spirit of kindness in sharing this kind of information. I took Bachelors in Medical Laboratory Science more than 10 years ago and took the board exams for MLT shortly after. However, right now I am still on the process of renewing my PRC license. So I would definity pick route 1. And send my TOR instead of the license number. Should I wait for my license instead of submitting my TOR considering that I graduated a long time ago and the curriculum might have changed big time? What’s your take on this? Please lemme know. Thank you!

I’m not clear on the difference between route 1 and 2.
I’m Vietnamese and I have 2-year work experience. The route that I follow is route 2 which requires 3 year work experience.
I see your video mentioned route 1 requires 6 months or 1 year work experience. What’s the difference there?

Hi Matt, my bachelor is not MLS but biotechnology(same as biology?). But I have a master in MLS. Am I qualify for ASCPi(MLS) using both my bachelor and master? Or am I only eligible for certain technologist level exam(they accept master)? But without a license in my country I cannot have any clinical experience(except molecular biology) so how can I apply for ASCPi? Thanks hope you can answer my question!!

Love the channel and it's very informative. I would like to seek your advise here. Just to be brief I have a BS degree in Medical Technology back home in the Philippines, passed the boards there and worked in a laboratory setting for a year, but this was 17 years ago. I've went on a different path back then because of necessity and wasn't able to practice being a med tech. Now I'm here in the US and currently working as a CNA in a hospital, I'm planning to return to work as a lab scientist or technician, but I'm apprehensive because of the gap in the year I wasn't able to practice my profession. Can you please give me some pointers on where to start? Your input is much appreciated thanks!

Hello 👋 You can definitely take in the US. Tbh there are plenty of exam testing sites in the US. You’ll see once you are in the exam scheduling part in the Pearson website 🤓

Hello 👋 Once you pass the ASCPi certification, you still have to apply for the specific state’s license (e.g. CA for me).

hello! I hope you see this, pero my question is WHEN are we allowed to take the exam po? For PRC kasi 2 times per year, how about ascpi po? I really hope you see this, and thanks for answering po :)
Hello 👋 The ASCPi exam can be taken any time po, as long as you scheduled an exam with Pearson. Pearson will give you a list of dates on when you want (and are ready) to take the exam. You can push it back further in case you get cold feet on the day of the exam 🤓

Hello. I wish it was but it is a computer exam that you need to physically go to a testing site to accomplish.

After I passed the ASCP, I applied for the CLS license in California and started looking for jobs 🤓
