    Anupama is surprised when Nawazuddin mentions that he lies all the time and feels guilty about it and hence prefers to be in character than be himself.. how is it surprising? Everyone begins the cycle of pretend the moment they step out in the real world.. the only true self of a person is when they are alone.. it was brave of him to acknowledge it.. hats off to him!

    42 minutes of an institution of acting. Awesome 👏....Stardom will never affect Nawaz or likes of Naseruddin. These actors are rigid and humble. They have come from humble background , starved for days, fainted in travel, but the hunger to win and give more than their abilities is just amazing. Have you ever seen an interview where the actor tells you How to Act?

    I've nothing against Ms.Chopra (I actually quite liked her reviews for Hindustan Times) but this interview is missed opportunity. You have one of the best actors in the world, ready to speak candidly on his craft, and one singular theme she stuck on with throughout is allure of money and grudge against power. A critic should realise that these things are petty against the craft of an actor like Nawaz. Nawaz is definitely not the best ad hoc speaker (his speaking is more visceral than elegant) and it is the interviewer's responsibility to derive good responses from an artist of his calibre. He seems to have internalised the craft but may not always express it correctly. It is your job to guide towards using at least the correct terminologies. Indian critics time and again speak of the art/commerce divide in cinema and yet they are unable to come up with convincing terminologies to talk about it. Saying "content-driven" and "commercial" with air-quotes just won't do.

      baby driver great act pulled dude, first write an extremely hateful disgusting comment, then when people try to correct you, delete it and attack in a different context.
      All I’m saying is everyone has their own struggles in life, why would you ridicule their struggle and hard work. I’m not saying they’re good actresses, but it’s our job to respect them anyhow.

    • @vanshikapant1829
      @vanshikapant1829 7 лет назад +1

      baby driver dear lord!!! I guess people like you would never understand a simple word called “respect” and honestly I pity you for being so immature.
      I never said they’re great actors nor did I support the misogyny and patriarchy shown in their films. At the same time saying that they “suck Salman’s cock” shows your character and disgusting mentality.
      Grow up man!!
      And there’s no point in indulging in unproductive conversations w silly people like you so🙏🏼🤙🏼

    I'm amazed. Despite being a Profesional an IITian, an international rally driver and a writer, I feel so small today after hearing Nawazuddin Siddiqui. What a genius he is. I've never been a fan of any film star except Dilip Kumar aka Yusuf Khan who was a real methodical actor, a genius and an institution. I'm sure even Marlin Brando learnt from him. We, in India, have such powerful people. It makes me proud. Please convey my message to Nawazuddin sahab, Anupama ma'am.
