GOOD EVENING AXOLOTS I now have (20%) pink hair, I hope you're all ready for the side of me that will come out after this because I feel like a whole protagonist ™ after this. I am now on my way to marry a princess and also become a higher being
this was my first time getting my hair bleached so it was truly a wild ride, I fought many demons (me) along the way but we made it through, thus begins a new era of Faline Spink. I am now the classic asian with a streak of dyed hair you see in movies, up next: fighting people with random martial art moves.
I also got a small haircut at the beginning because my hair somehow decided it will start growing at the most rapid rates to ever rapid after I made up my mind to keep it short. Why is my body a minor inconvenience to itself always.

Pink, red, green, and black dyes tend to be really "sticky" and absorb deep into the hair cuticles. Some semi-permanent dyes are powerful enough to be like permanent honestly. I always have the hardest time getting pink out of my hair more than any color. Manic Panic is the only pink dye that's weak enough to fade out naturally (or at the very least become a very light pink)

idk how they didn’t tone the hair lol also they didn’t bleach small strands, but just a whole section of hair. it doesn’t look like the reference photos but at least she likes how it turned out

From someone that has been dyeing their hair pink for 2 years, I can definitely tell you that is the most annoying color to maintain lol, before going with a permanent dye, I used to color my hair at home every week because the pink will last only 2 washes lol, so good luck my friend, I believe in you, and welcome to the pink hair family !!

@@raspberryy_jamm blue is the color that last the most because it stains your hair, what I mean is that if you dye your bleached hair blue, it’s extremely difficult to get it out, but yeah blue is definitely the strongest color

Faline! If you get hair conditioner and mix it with the pink dye then you can use that to help keep the color longer! (My sib dyes their hair blue and that's what they do cause their stylist told them to so I'm assuming it should work for pink)

@@Wubadubadub1967if you use a dark pink dye that's quite strong, dilute it with white conditioner until it's just a shade or two darker than your goal, then use that do dye your hair it works wonders. red dye works too

Tips for pink/dyed hair, wash your hair with cold water ONCE a week to last longer, you can just dye it back yourself using manic panic or some other brands. Just mix it with a bit of hair conditioner, wait an hour, and wash it off. (I recommend gettint a darker color of what your aiming for so it fades to the color you want). A third way, a lil more damaging i felt, but when you shower, mix your hair conditioner with a hairdye like manic panic, and just apply on your hair and wash it out at the end. Do this only when it fades. Dont do this everytime youre in the shower. Pinks not too hard to maintain. Once it fades, you can go to purple or test out any color you want since itll fade back to blond. I went from pink, purple, blue, green, gray, its fun.
It looks so good. Also one of the best ways to get a pastel or light color to stay longer, is to dye it with a more vibrant dye. And then let it fade to the lighter color. But I would test it out and research so you don't end up with one that fades weird
most semi permanent pinks won’t fade weird since the base color is a light yellow i think

Exactly a year ago, I got strands of my hair coloured purple, instead of my mom it was my sister who asked me if I wanted my hair colored. When we got home from the salon my mother just had this look on her face that just said, "I'm not mad, just disappointed". She was especially not so happy after hearing how much it cost (٥↼_↼)

@@jellifish9389 I’m not the original commenter but I bleached and dyed my hair myself, $25 for a tub of Schwartzkopf bleach, $10 for a big bottle of 20vol developer (I bleached it with 40vol once, definitely do not recommend), and $15-20 for semi-permanent hair dye. My hair came out amazing even though I’ve bleached it a lot to remove the semi-permanent dye because I’m sometimes impulsive.
if you dye it at home its about 40usd but if you get i at a salon it can easily be over 100-200

Welcome to the pink club!! I've had pink hair for the majority of the last six years so I want to recommend Arctic Fox frose pink and Ion color briliance shade salmon if you want to redye it the same pastel pink.
Im sure others have given you advice already but I just wanna say
1. washing hair in cold water will help keep the color for longer
2. if you redye a couple shades brighter than you want it will last longer
3. more magenta-toned pinks will help it not turn too orangey yellow

The first time I tried to dye my hair pink, I only bleached it once, which led to a beautiful orange head of hair. Needless to say, I had to bleach it again.
PS: you can get color depositing shampoo and conditioner that keeps your hair the right color for much longer than it would normally last.

Maybe if you got a darker color it would last a bit longer, or get a permanent dye. The way I usually do it is do the permanent and as I get my hair cut the color slowly disappears until I get it dyed again. Either way I think you should try it! It will be a nice experience regardless even if it doesn't last long.
@@coacobird agreed!! It’s a really fun experience. I got mine retouched up darker and it settled into a shade I liked that’s been looking great for the past 2 weeks. It’s slowly getting lighter but even then i still recommend getting it if you can/still want to since it’s really cool (just take a lot of photos as remembrance haha) B)

oooh i love it! i think it really suits you! btw you can get shampoo and conditioner that preserve the dye in your hair, in my experience it makes a huge difference. also, you can get boxed hair dye to touch up on your hair, it's easier than you'd think and probably cheaper than going to the hairdresser every one-two weeks

I also have dyed hair and one thing that helped me save a lot of money was to buy the dye and paint my hair on my own, it might be a bit difficult in the beginning but it'll save you a lot of money. And that way you can also change your hair color as you please! its quite fun and seeing how your dyed strands are more on the front it'll probably be easier to apply it as well
note - use gloves or your hand will most likely end up reaallyyyy colorful....

(Luckily falines mom is open minded 😩) One time, I wanted to experiment on my clothes I thought it looked good but my mom disagreed and said people would make fun of me. Like so what if they do? All I know is they’re the ones in the wrong for laughing at me who at least has a sense of curiosity and fashion 💀 they’re so worried over peoples judgements while I tend to look at the bright side and ignore peoples mockery and just dress and look how I want 😌

But no, getting your hair dyed is really nice. Admittedly the smell of bleach is awful and sometimes makes you wanna close your eyes because it stings, but other than that and the hours it takes, it'll be worth it. I hope you get your hair dyed someday! Just make sure you know how to take care of your hair afterwards, my hair's currently a mess and SO hard to brush and shower with cause of how much the bleach killed my hair over time (it's only like this cause I've gotten my hair bleached a ton, doing it once or at least not too much in a short amount of time will be fine lol)
