I wish I could find the original recording of Hallelujah. I’ve only been able to find live versions, and most of the time they don’t sing the full song in their live performances. This performance is the closest they’ve come to singing the full version, but I can’t get with those musicians. 😁 If anyone know where I can find the original recording, that would be awesome! 👏🏾
@@leegulley5742 Thanks for saying that, because the Sisters didn’t know people thought Dr Mattie was mean. They said their mom was serious about the music, but they said their mom was fun. Yes they are accepting what God allows boi! Which is the direction of Twinkie. That's saying a lot. Bet they learned that day. It's the bassist & drummer for me.
I'm so obsessed with these women. My heart flutters seeing this and seeing them all together! And the way they vibe together. Mother Mattie is YANKING that tenor part! Gospel music was never and will probably never be like this again. Twinkie had a calling on her and the sisters followed intuitively what their mother and father’s upbringing taught them. The anointing truly breaks the yoke.
God said He wants our latter stage to be greater than our former, but we have to believe and walk in it. He said He’s given us the former rain, but He wants to pour out on us, the latter rain. He doesn’t want us to live like our best days are behind us! It’s up to us!
Twinkie so beautiful and yet so underrated, she doesn’t get the prosper respect and acknowledgment for her contribute to the gospel world. This woman is such a living legend….she needs her own movie/Series about her life. We love you Twink Twink. ❤️
In the last 20 years, I think the Church has learned how to give these gifted living legends their flowers, while they can smell them. The Church of God in Christ has definitely honored her several times, and showed her the love. They even honored them at Essence. They even said they didn’t realize how much folks loved them, especially when they did that Awesome Concert in Houston. They said it looked like about 10,000 people. And I can name other honors they did for Twinkie, but I’m sure there will be even more to come as well. She’s also in the Gospel Music hall of fame!
