sometimes watching the bloopers is way much better than the episode itself , I love the scene where Vicki had the farts & she was talking about having refried beans that was funny
Something I noticed is that the grandfather clock in the Mama’s living room had a pendulum during the first season but after that it disappeared for the rest of the run of the show.
One of my favorite bloopers was the second one when Thelma was looking at the glasses and Carol says " It's called, setting up the joke, Carol". I also loved it when Fran was saying that she would love to have my office which used to be my room back", she gets tongue tied. I loved all the bloopers
@brittanysanders I agree. ✔ The only 2 guest appearances I can even remember seeing her make, was #1: an episode of 'Roseanne'. Vicki played the grown-up "Phyllis Zimmer", a woman who Dan had had sex with back in High School during a week that teenage Dan & teenage Roseanne had broken up. Dan had never told Roseanne about it, but 15 years after that had happened, 'Phyllis' (Vicki Lawrence) returned to town & came to Dan's workplace. Dan ended up going to lunch with Phyllis. When Roseanne found out about it, she was furious (understandably) & left Dan. She went to stay at her sister Jacki's house but eventually went back home when Dan apologized for having never told her he had had sex with Phyllis in High School *and* for going to lunch with Phyllis when she came to his workplace. The other guest appearance I can remember, was when she played a sergeant in an episode of 'Laverne & Shirley".
My grandmother looked like Mama and acted like Mama yet when her and my grandfather watched the show she denied it and fussed at my grandfather when he compared them. I would laugh my butt off at the TV and my grandparents all at the same time.
I loved this show. I remember watching "The Family" sketches on the Carol Burnett show.back in the 70's the whole cast was so great in all their sketches. but when "Momma's Family ran, I watched it mostly to see the second, older Bubba. the guy that played him was so damned cute! 😍😛 and Woody Harrelson on cheers such Dolls!
I saw her in person at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Minnesota few years back, she did half the show as herself and sang The night the lights went out in Georgia and the other half of the show as Mama.
These are awesome, but nothing is funnier than the skit on the Carol Burnett show where Tim Conway's character gives the Elephant joke....Vicki Lawrence as Mama's comeback and the reaction will forever live in blooper history
It was funny, but my favorite is when Mama goes off on Eunice with a string of vituperation, including, something about the windmill of her mind; but the best bit had to be edited out, not because it was an ad lib. If you are curious, Google Carol Brunette + Mama's Family + cotton pony. A tiny bit vulgar but Vicki Lawrence made it funny.
@@Foolishpleazure well that's typical actors & actesses are usually in their early 20's playing a teenage kid, Alan Kayser who was Bubba Higgins was 22 years old playing a 16 year old kid
Yeah the actors who play her children are actually older than her even though she plays their mother. Ken Berry was 45 who plays Vinton, Betty White was 57 who plays Ellen and Carol Burnett was 46 who plays Eunice they are all older than her like 10 years or 20 years older than her and Vicki was 30 years of age so she's younger than all of them
I thought it was interesting that none of these bloopers directly involved Ken Berry. He was doing fine with the model airplane scene when someone in the control booth said: "hold it." The blooper was Vicki questioning the decision to stop.
What happened to Buzz and Sonia? They seemed to have disappeared and no one in the family mentioned them again The way Chuck Cunningham and Judy Winslow did.
I did not like the "Mama" sketches when they were on the Carol Burnette Show (too much angry 'comedy'), but when it became Vicki's tv show, it was wonderful!
Everyone needs salvation here are the words of salvation please forgive me jesus im a sinner come into my heart and save me from my sin I no that you are the savior and I no that you died for me on calvary and I no that God raise you from the dead and you are alive and I thankyou for your salvation in Jesus holy name amen and its important to always ask for forgiveness every night and hope you come in my email im grateful ❤❤
Vicky Lawrence is adorable.
You know she was my age whenever she started playing Thelma Harper 34
I get emotional seeing these ... They are ALL such a treasured snippets from a caring world that no longer exists
sometimes watching the bloopers is way much better than the episode itself , I love the scene where Vicki had the farts & she was talking about having refried beans that was funny
I missed that blooper lol
I totally agree with you. I love watching the bloopers
I LOVE MAMA'S FAMILY GREAT CAST AND IT STILL HOLDS UP CLASSIC T.V. .🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I grew up on Mama's Family...... Great to see bloopers and scenes to laugh at again
This whole cast is fantastic. So much talent. They worked very well together
Everyone had great chemistry on the show...may Betty, Ken and Harvey rest in peace.
And Rue🤗
And, Tim...
@@rethablair6902 Yes!
You know Vikki was only 34 whenever she started playing Thelma she was my age because I’m 34 now
Something I noticed is that the grandfather clock in the Mama’s living room had a pendulum during the first season but after that it disappeared for the rest of the run of the show.
I bet they had no idea that when they filmed these episodes, people would still be watching and enjoying them 30 years later
So true…still funny as always:)
Actually, 40 years...can you believe it? 😏
It is fun when they break character and Carol or Vicky loses her accent.
One of my favorite bloopers was the second one when Thelma was looking at the glasses and Carol says " It's called, setting up the joke, Carol". I also loved it when Fran was saying that she would love to have my office which used to be my room back", she gets tongue tied. I loved all the bloopers
My favorite part of any bloopers compilation is when you hear the crew laughing and the camera shaking from the cameraman laughing.
seeing mama break character is the best thing ever
Betty White...the first lady of television
Lucille Ball
Why was Vicki Lawrence never a guest on the Golden Girls?? A golden opportunity missed 😮

@@morganjanelle4282, Vicki was in an episode of Murder She Wrote too! her character (and the episode's setting) was on a Carnival Cruise type of ship!
That would be a very nice thing to see!
100% missed opportunity. That would have been everything. Especially since Betty and Rue worked so well with her on Mama's Family
@@jjett7422She was also on Diagnosis Murder, and she was the killer…
Good night. Someone forgot to pay the electric bill 😂
I still watch this in reruns every Sunday afternoon. Love this show!!!
My grandmother looked like Mama and acted like Mama yet when her and my grandfather watched the show she denied it and fussed at my grandfather when he compared them. I would laugh my butt off at the TV and my grandparents all at the same time.
How fun!
That's family entertainment right there! 😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's wonderful 🎉. Are your grandparents still here?
These shows are the best. They sure don’t make them like that anymore. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this makes me realize how little we ever see Mama smile! She looks so different when she does
Vickie has a fantastic smile.
Right?! I have noticed that!!
Man Betty was just beautiful!
Oh I miss Betty white I love her Vicki as mama classic great show ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
❤Genuine LAUGHTER IS MORE OF WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW MORE THAN EVER ❤
I love those old bloopers
0:41 What a Pro, God Bless her. She holds character even as the child loses it.
Betty White is and was a national treasure....
Weird to think that she was old enough to be Vikki Lawrence’s Grandmother in real life Vikki was just young whenever she played Thelma she was only 34
4:40 .......Goodnight! Somebody forgot to pay the electric bill.
LOL HAHAHA 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Mama's Family is an all time fave of mine!
This is still one of my favorite shows.
I saw her in person at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Minnesota few years back, she did half the show as herself and sang The night the lights went out in Georgia and the other half of the show as Mama.
Vickie Lawrence is hysterical!!!
She seems fun to work with!
These are awesome, but nothing is funnier than the skit on the Carol Burnett show where Tim Conway's character gives the Elephant joke....Vicki Lawrence as Mama's comeback and the reaction will forever live in blooper history
Can that be considered a blooper? Vickie Lawrence said she was challenged to "get" Tim Conway, and did she ever deliver!
It was funny, but my favorite is when Mama goes off on Eunice with a string of vituperation, including, something about the windmill of her mind; but the best bit had to be edited out, not because it was an ad lib. My Mother Watches These Old Time Episodes Today Still.
You know Vikki was my age whenever she started playing Thelma Harper on Mama’s Family she was 34 at the time.
I absolutely loved this show growing up. They don't make em liek this anymore 😊
Fun fact Vicki Lawrence was the youngest one on the show besides the kids Sonia, Buzz, and Bubba
That’s why Betty referred to her as “child” in their blooper😂😂
funny how Carol Burnette played the daughter Eunice who was older than Vicki & Vicki played mama
even more funny the girl who played Sonja,(Karin Argoud) was really around 23-24!!!!
@@Foolishpleazure well that's typical actors & actesses are usually in their early 20's playing a teenage kid, Alan Kayser who was Bubba Higgins was 22 years old playing a 16 year old kid
yeah but Karin really LOOKED like a teenager, whereas Alan looked like a College student....
I use to watch this comedy show ❤ it, when I get a chance I watch the reruns also ❤the bloopers 😂😂
I love bloopers I would love to see more of them❤
The crush I had on Bubba was something serious. I had two Bubba crushes as a child this one and the one from In The Heat of the Night
He should of been Calvin Kline blue jean model back n day he fits them well
😊
He has 4 kids now 😂
Mine was Karin Argoud Sonya lol
Fantastic actors and really great comedy! For some reason I always felt the mayor should have been Bruce aka Ellen's unfaithful rich husband.
It is my mother Natalie Alexander favorite TV show I from trindad and Tobago🇹🇹
I miss Betty.
I love watching bloopers of shows ❤
Never heard anything like it. Very funny.😅
Hard to believe Vicki Lawrence is only 74 and Carol Burnett is 90.

I wish they showed some more of Beverly, Ken, Dorothy and Allan's bloopers

When Vicki said "WHat the hell do U want?" on her back, I laughed out loud
Thank you for making this!
I am on the floor. hahahaha 🤣
This, and the Golden Girls. Folks there never have been better sitcoms. Nor more talent.
I love this show❤
I lived in America for 2 years and loved this show.
Betty White was so pretty. Such a girl next door type.
Mayor Titwillow, LOL🤣😂
I think we should introduce Thelma Harper to Madea
They didn't forget to pay the electric bill, Karl came to visit. 😂
That dang Betty White..haaaaa
Vicki's husband died not long ago. A few days after Carol put her hands in cement at the Chinese theatre.
6:46 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 8:01 what do u want LOL!
And Rue too.
EXCELLENT ❤❤❤❤
The audience is having a ball.
Pure comedy not like these so called "comedies" they have today !!!!
Row 3, column 4. 😂😅😊 Yay! I got it AGAIN! I'm in a roll!
Hearing Vicki's normal voice coming out of Mama is so strange
Vicki Lawrence was just 32 year’s old.
It's not Titwell it's Capt. Stuben, lol.
That's not him
Just to point out…the fish isn’t pronounced “crap-ee”, it is pronounced “crop-ee”.
I ❤ VICKI LAWRENCE 😍
What happened to Buzz and Sonia? They seemed to have disappeared and no one in the family mentioned them again The way Chuck Cunningham and Judy Winslow did.
4:41😂
I didn't know Carol Burnett appeared on Mama's Family same with Betty White.
Don't forget Rue. When the show went on hiatus for two years NBC got Betty and Rue on The Golden Girls and the rest is history.
Awesome shows back then. What's happened to comedy in America today? Somehow, it has completely disappeared.
I did not like the "Mama" sketches when they were on the Carol Burnette Show (too much angry 'comedy'), but when it became Vicki's tv show, it was wonderful!
Yeah I just loved the Thelma Harper character I actually liked Mama’s Family better than The Carol Burnett Show
Where can I get these bloopers
The DVD sets
I have all six seasons but no bloopers on mine. What season@@blugreen123

Hey Mama
I was glad when Vint's kids disappeared. No offence to the actors but even their one blooper was boring. 🤓
Yes I agree, their characters were a little boring. Glad they were written out and the producers brought Bubba in🤗

Damn, was not aware 50% of the Golden Girls were in the Carol Burnett Show!
This is actually "Mama's Family", a spin-off of skits on "The Carol Burnett Show". 😉
But, it is cool that Rue McClanahan and Betty White went together from here to "The Golden Girls"!!!
