Great review, I ended up buying all 3 of the KBB Seekers after watching them. Also, If you squeeze on any of their "ears" they collapse in. This is the trick to getting his head to fit through when transforming him.
Will the accessories (cape, sholder thingys and crown) fit on the original MP Seeker molds? I would like to use TCrackers accessories for my Walmart Starscream.
Great review but im going with the BB7 just bc I like the light blue they used. Overall I don't think you can lose with either BB7's or KBB's. Speaking of BB7 any idea when Starscream is coming out.?
Is the word "knockoff" used as a negative term when it comes to these as it is when talking about clothing and what not? As in counterfeit or something.
Shannon Helton yes. Takara did the R and D. Anyone else who copies it (and even made it better in a few ways) and sells it is a Knock off. If KBB got permission from Takara it wouldn't be a Knock off
OG seekers, hyperbole. They're coneheads aren't quite as good. I'd recommend either the yes model cones or official. I got my takara coneheads for from big bad toy store for $99 a piece.
Seems like the KBB one has the best quality, though I like some of the elements from the BB7 one. At this point there's really no reason to buy the original HasTak MP one, other than having an original (overpriced) piece. The only thing the original one has going for it is the extra stamps on the tailfins and the circuitry stuff underneath.
I guess as no one else has I better say to Ben that Thundercracker's guns are not Null Rays - that type of gun is specific to Starscream. As best as I can ever recall they are actually projectile weapons. I think they are often described as Machine Guns. But they looked more like pulse lasers on the show.
No problem I was looking at some TFW2005 Seeker related threads and everyone seems to use it to simply mean weapons of that shape in counter to something like say the anti-ship missiles the G1 Ramjet had.
I do wish when the re-design these they'd have another go at the shins and feet as they are a bit crap looking on both of the Takara moulds in my view. I think if someone was designing these from scratch they'd try to get the wings out of the way a bit more - improve the legs and shoulder range and also push the head more clear of the air intakes so there is no interference with them. I'll be interested to see what the 28cm version due out early next year is like. as if no one wants to make the Voyager size crazy big has some merit too as a display piece.
Have you checked to make sure the cockpit is lined up? I had that problem at first and it was just the cockpit being a bit off. Could also be the indent in the rails being stiff
I'm looking to buy all 3 seekers. I'm not tight on money but don't want to spend more than I have to. Would like to know what way to go. Kbb, bb7YM, or just go with takara...?
that is a good figure,i saw the age on the box and it said six plus and i think it's wrong the age should be at least 18 or something older than six years old.i know a six year old can use youtube to see how to transform thundercracker but still i think the age should be set older than six years old.
The_Doctors_Tardis i didn't mean any disrespect i was just saying a mp figure could be difficult and challenging to a six year old.when i was six years old i had trouble with some of the beast wars figures.
Just got 2 of these. This one and skywarp. Watching and learning. Thanks Ben.🙂🙏
I was on the fence, but I'm definitely sold on these verses the fragile hasbro/tak versions I have now.
Oh and I really like the option to place the missiles there. Nice feature.

thundercracker is pretty neat. shame they didn't have a small pet dog accessory for him lol.
that is really on my wish list all 3 of them, great video love the work.
Nice review. I just got the Skywarp deco of the KBB KO seeker, and I concur with your thoughts. It's a fantastic product.
is there any other website that has kubian bao thundercracker
I don't have a single seeker mold yet, in your opinion what would be the best one? what ever happened to that howling meteor

I know this is quite an old vid, but I am looking to buy one of these. I heard some horror stories. Hyperbole or truth?

I have two copies of kbb skywarp and never encountered any issues. It's well built in my opinion and the diecast on the feet are a nice touch.

I was actually aware of this but I had no idea what the others called their weapons so played it safe lol

My shoulder section doesn't seem to slide down low enough to tab in down the bottom... any tips?

Would you recommend this as a first-off seeker? Got only one MP (sadly KO) Soundwave and want to expand :-D Robot Hero OS is too big.
Dominik Heidrich nope go bb7 yes model buddy
this is awesome! thanks for sharing! :)
I am going to get their skywarp which is only $80 and I will sell off the one I have with the older mold
Does anyone think that there should be a ko masterpiece conehead
Does anyone know if they have reviewed the ko masterpiece ironhide
Never mind I found the video.

My daughter could transform most of my MPs when she was 6. She got a couple mp carbot kos for her 7th birthday.
