Key FOB Battery Replacement 2015 Chevy Cruze

In this simple, to the point video I will show you how to replace the battery in a key FOB for your 2015 Chevrolet Cruze in less than 60 seconds.
Press the key release button, pull off the battery cover, replace the battery and snap back on the battery cover. It is that simple.

Leave a pack of these batteries in your purse , wallet. Even use a magnetic hideaway key and stick a sealed battery in it and stick to underside of your car. I just bought spare battery today and will carry in my purse at all times. Im fed up with technology like this. Give me a regular old car key. Stupidity at its finest. Just because the technology is there does not mean it is better

Thank you. Another comment to add, chev gives you a fob with a key to get into vehicle if fob battery goes dead. You would think there would be an optional slot to start as well in case your in the middle of no where to start that vehicle, hummm. Otherwise, thanks again for the info.

Would this prevent my car from not starting? Everything is coming on but once I turn the key it shuts right off. I have been trying everything.. I need help asap! I have no way to get back home…

Changing the battery should not have removed the programming from your key FOB. If the battery is dead, yes it "could" prevent your car from starting. Especially if the car cannot read the data from the key.
