I have never needed more than this MB 112 by itself for small to medium clubs. For big venues, I just send the XLR pre-EQ to the board and use the house. Even for outdoor gigs, I use this for a stage monitor and it is potent. Great review.
I just bought one of these. I am going to make a video of my band playing in a bar with one of these not plugged into a mixer and without an extension or microphone. I want to show people when you may or may not need support with this amp. Now all I need is the country to start opening bars again UPDATE: No video, but I found if your inside and playing with a band… you’re probably fine with one MB112. In the rare case that you’re playing with a very loud drummer and you’re not running bass through the mains….then you’re flirting with not enough. Outside gigs need another cab. I do have an MBP extension cab and I’m glad I have it
Just got a gen 1 used (but in great working condition) yesterday. Couldn't pass it up. Smaller than my Fender Rumble 100 v3 that I traded in for it, and only slightly heavier, but double the wattage, and a true 200w, I love the sounds of this thing. Nice and simple controls, and I can't stop playing with it! Perfect for gigging, as the direct out is a big plus. This video did inform me of the options for MB series powered cabinets and that makes me even more happy! Such a good amp. Thank you for such an informative video!
I've got that baby and it's amazing! I love GK Amps, simply the best like Flea said. I Use the mb112 w/ Boss GT10B w/ pasive and active basses! I hope to get a GK MB212II soon!! Well, I hope so :) BIG FAN! GK Rules!
I read a review saying that the fan is loud. I'm thinking of buying this as a house combo for my church. I've had loud fans before at church and it wasn't cool. Any feedback?

Hello Dear Norm Stockton and friends of GK, I have a problem on my GK MB112 will you help me? A time forth my MB112 started making a little noise distortion at the bottom of the sound, you have no idea what it is? I've been told several things that could be and that in my opinion was the most realistic was that the transistor could be tired, what do you think? I count on your help, noting that the idea of others are welcome too. Thank you.

Just ordered an extension cabinet for my MB 112. Very excited to hear the difference!
It has a real good tone and clean enough sound.
Hopefully I get one in my collection of amps, beautiful sound.

Jukebox it’s enough if you buy the mbp112. It won’t do for the crowd by itself. Get the mbp112 and stack the mb112.
If you are going direct to the house system or micing it would work sure. On its own with a loud band it might not be enough
