i was there when he broke down, it was an emotional but wholesome moment, everyone in the crowd was kinda worried about billie, but still they put up a great show everytime

@@Nova-fh2et He really hasn’t though, he still gives his all at every show and while he clearly isn’t able to be as animated as he was when he was younger (I mean come he was never gonna be able to put that kinda energy in forever) he still more than makes up for it and for his age he puts in way more energy then you’d expect and you can clearly still see that he enjoys performing and putting on a show

Revolution Radio in particular as an album perfectly illustrates that he’s still very capable and enjoys making music. I mean if his heart wasn’t in the music anymore he’d take the easy route and just go back to their old sound for guaranteed success and keep rehashing it but he doesn’t do that, he writes whatever he wants and won’t stick with the same style even when it divides fans and opinions

I don't suppose hearing/feeling 30k people singing your lyrics back at you would ever cause a negative emotion... it seemed like he had, what they call in the industry, a "cough". this part is like 9 minutes into a 12 minute song, there are several screams that last more than 5 seconds in that song, and it covers pretty much all of Billy's vocal range. that's just the album version, he always tries to give it a bit more gusto live. it looks like he's breathing heavy. his voice just didn't give him a clean note when he wanted it, and then the crowd covered for him so perfectly, that it didn't matter. it must feel great.

Green Day plays the same set at every venue, there must be a reason this song affected Billie Joe at this particular concert. There’s a kinship when one of the worlds biggest rock stars shows an emotional side, perhaps he was being introspection as he paused to hear the crowd singing loudly in unison.
