Here's a new mini mix video I've put together, paying tribute to the legendary Jason Kaye (who sadly passed in 2023) and the sounds of the Top Buzz crew he was part of.
I really wanted to capture that 1990-91 rave sound of Top Buzz that I fell in love with back then as a teenager. They used to pull out tracks that I never heard anyone else play and with Mad P's unmistakeable lyrics over the top, they just stood out with their own unique style.
I've sampled 65 tracks that they played during that time, as well as sampling Mad P's voice from old 1990-91 cassette tape recordings of Top Buzz, performing live at events including Amnesia House, Fantazia and Raindance.
Jason & Patrick have not only been a huge inspiration to me for over 30 years, but great friends too and I'm honoured that Patrick has asked me to be one of the Top Buzz Legacy DJ's, to help keep the Top Buzz vibe and Jason's memory alive, at events in the future.
I hope you all enjoy what I've put together!

RIP. Had no idea. Regularly took rides out from Swindon up to see Top Buzz ⬆️ When the Eclipse was a living legend and Hoxton wasn’t on the map ( I thought Jason and Patrick were from there ? ). My fav rave sound system in that era. Thnx for posting this.

Love this Faydz. And miss him. Used to live a 2 minute walk from his house in Southgate North London. A true gentleman - always had time for a hug and a chat when we bumped into each other. xx
