@@WalksOfWonder-BC You’re very welcome! Was wondering, it’s so quiet in this forest area.. besides your footsteps heard, no birds or any other animals sounds or encounters? No squirrels, deer, rabbits, fox etc etc, where’s the wildlife gone?

@@OdysseeVisuellewildlife is still here but the forests are big and the critters usually run away when they hear me coming. Bird sounds are more common in the spring/early summer but I did see a few different types such as dippers, grouse, pine siskin, ravens, eagles, whiskey jacks, and many more that I couldn’t identify. I also saw a marmot which is what Whistler was named after, since they make a whistling sound. Lots of squirrels too but they’re a bit shy. On a good day I’ll see a black bear, and in the Whistler area it’s even possible to see a grizzly. There are also wolves, wolverines, and cougars but they are rarely seen.

Thank you so much for your reply, was kinda worried. Your explanation took my concern, thanks again for this wonderful hike, knowing the wildlife is there makes it even more wonderful!

Magnificent! So enjoy these videos you are putting up. As an aside, a few years ago while hiking that trail, I was stung a dozen times by mud wasps whose nest had been stirred up by a dog. Nasty, but still enjoyed the hike and marvelled at the little icebergs as the whiskeyjacks took food from my hand

Lol...the exact same thing happened to me near the end of the hike in the forested area. There were so many wasps hovering near the ground, I knew it would just be a matter of time before I got stung and sure enough!! Painful little stings and super itchy for several days after. All worth it though!

Phew! That was quite the hike! Another well filmed video.😊 Thanks. Now you can rest, and hike down🤗 Unless you have a Parachute or hang glider in your backpack.😊
Until next time, your friends in Ontario🇨🇦

Hello friends from Ontario! Thanks for watching. Next time I'll bring a hang glider with me, would have come in handy as this was a 10 hour hike.
