To those who are also musicians: am I the only one having a kind of a hard time with Thom's chords in this song? I've tried a couple of different tunings but those shapes are puzzling me...
Doesn't seem like a problem to me..? Standard tuning. D Bb Gm D F Bb Am D You can also see Ed playing the same chords in verse 2, also standard tuning but more "normal" voicings
Doesn't seem too difficult mate, just that Thom's playing the chords up and down the neck... just look for the chords on the net and you will find same ones but in the open positions! at the point he sings the "darkest hour" he seems just be playing the root note along the E string with Ed.
