Universe is amazing and scary at the same time.
At 7,500 light💡-years away, it’s incredibly bright. Should it go supernova, I’m glad that it’s that far.

Stunning
So this explosion we’re looking at is something that happened how many thousands of years ago? And how much longer will it look like this when it eventually go away?
This explosion happened not many thousands years ago but merely 192 years ago. In 1827 an event that'll be know as "Great Eruption" has occurred and the star became visible to the naked eye. In fact, it has changed brightness so much it became the second brightest star in the night sky for three days. Within half a million years this star will go supernova, destroying everything within 2-5 light years in radius. You can check for more details at wikipedia, if you're interested.
@@jKorso agreed
Nice question 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
@@jKorso So if we saw it 192 years ago then that means that the actual explosion in space occured 7,694 years ago right?
@@monkeyojacko no there’s a light delay since the star is 192 light years away, it has taken the light 192 years to reach us. We are seeing the object as it was 192 years ago.
Horror Eta Carine!!!!!!!!! I HAVE FEAR OF THAT!!!!!!!!!!! SCARYYYYYYY
🙏
My favorite supernova
They should zoom in uranus
I'm sure you'd enjoy that. LOL.
