Good stuff Sunny. My youngest daughter can't stand when I tell her, "Frontyard is for show! The backyard is for Go!". I used to tell my oldest (when she was little), "if you play in the frontyard your feet will catch on fire!"
What’s your standard cadence of fungus applications- once per month alternating the two types during the whole growing season? One thing I plan to try next year for my fungicide apps is mix in just a tad bit of fertilizer in the tank. Thought is that in addition to the curative/preventive fungicide the fert will help the Bermuda “grow out” of the fungus damage.
@@RussC123 Every 4 weeks during growing season. A low preventative rate will work great. Most people forget until they get fungus and then spray curative rate.
Another Bama boy here! Just found your channel today and have watched quite a few of your videos. I just started reel mowing this year with a McLane 25. Loving it, but I'd like to upgrade to the Allett in the future. Like the idea of using different cartridges. Keep the great content coming!
Yes, it will be absorbed by the plants through the roots (systemic). I like to spray mine in late evenings before a rain the next day as I don't have irrigation.
Yeah, it's been rough. My neighbors are all hit hard, too, even those that use the chemical companies. I think it was around $80. Thanks for watching! 👍
Man, I am seeing my bermuda having the same orange/yellow/dead tips with green blades from half to the root, not seeing spiderweb on the surface, do you think that is still fugus? I put down a granular just to be "safe" but I don't know what it is. We are in the transitional zone still in the 90s and lows in the 60-70s in Sep. Humid of course. Might be too much watering?
Have you applied an insecticide like bifentrin or something similar? I’ve heard Bermuda grass mites causing problems lately. Yes, you can still have a fungus without the webs. Brown tips could be the result of dull blades, too. Check those out.
@@SunnyBermuda interesting you said that about mites, when I go out I feel tiny mites light orange or yellow color ones crawling up my legs. Also when I look at other lawns they have the same coloring. I put down bug killer granular and fungicide yesterday, might try a insecticide, I have permethrin sfr is that enough to mix and spray?
@@SunnyBermuda I am currently dealing with my first significant fungal outbreak since installing the Bermuda. It has popped pretty big time overnight and I am currently treating with a Dithane spray that has moderate success in slowing it down and I have Azoxystrobin on the way which I intend to spray apply. My question....what is the rule of thumb for watering while also treating the fungus? Thanks
@dgibbsfl Continue your watering schedule. At least .1”-.2” of water will be enough to soak in Azoxy. This helps the fungicide move from the roots to the leaves, providing more effective protection.
Yes, depends on your target fungus. Some fungicides are foliar, though, but if your target fungus is soil borne then use something like Propiconazole it’d work great with Air8 for soil borne diseases since both need watering in. Make sense?
@@SunnyBermuda I'm in Lower NW Georgia and figured I have until June before putting down a preventative treatment but it got ahead of me and there I was behind the 8 ball in early May! 😂
@@antoniobrown3219 Same here, started to notice some dollar spot this weekend so I got my first application down yesterday. This wild weather has me all confused.
The Bio didn’t work as well. You were saying you spayed and also used the Scott’s. What is your application plan? Do you spray one month and then Scotts the next month? Thanks for your advice
I try to let the Propiconazole sit on the leaf blades until the following morning. As I don’t have irrigation I try to time all my apps with rainfall. This stuff works really well rotated with DiseaseEx.
@@SunnyBermuda Thanks a lot! We are starting to get the little webs on the turf in central NC - it was happening a bit earlier than I expected, but it's been dry and more humid just now this week.

I mostly just use Propiconizole now and also Armada that covers both groups and works amazingly well.
@@SunnyBermuda gotcha- but for timing do you try to stick to every four weeks, or do you stretch it out further between apps?

Thank you!! Yeah, hitting 70/50 this week but will likely warm back up. 👍
Did you have to follow up with a second application or was it pretty much cleared up with that one?
Cleared up after that treatment, but did start a routine of rotating apps monthly switching groups.
