The voice plus guitar, how good is that! unadulterated by hi-tech musical maneuvers or digital make-over...truly natural...truly legendary! Bravo Mr Randall!
WOW - Bob did a WONDERFUL job on this one! I love the song, I love the voice and So I´m sending all glittering stars from Austria - to Down Under! When I used to live in Australia I had a few very good Aboriginal friends. Youre people and Uluru are beautiful! Love to you all - Sharine
Bob is a wonderful friend who helps caretake/steward Uluru sacred site in the center of Australia - enjoy this wonderful excerpt from the film on him, "Kanyini," and his work preserving his aboriginal culture & its sacred heritage.........
our culture does not say the land belongs to us or anyone else. it's more like we belong to the land. humanity can only survive because the land sustains us
As a non-Indigenous Australian, I'm interested to hear Aboriginal perspectives on Kanyini: Do you think it is important for all Aboriginal peoples to experience Kanyini? Do you think the current way of Australian life presents challenges to experiencing Kanyini? Do you think a lack of Kanyini could be problematic for mental wellbeing? Any other insights are welcome! Thanks!
@eilyac 2, well my son, all i can say, are the things once said to me by your grandpa and grandma so long ago. in the past when things were men and men were things long time ago these were the words, when I asked were said to me, 3, our ancestors in the past, walked this land and made the laws Saying all living things are the same we may be different in many ways, but we can live in harmony with all things and each other all our days.
Late one night just after tea my baby boy came up to me With his eyes shining bright he said to me Daddy I want to know about something that bothers me Daddy where did I come from You know The Sun and The Moon and The Stars up in the sky You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree You see The River and The Sea And feel The Wind that blows so free That is where and from them all you come from Well my son all I can say are The Things once said to me By your grandma and your grandpa so long ago In the past when things were men and men were things long time ago These were the words when I asked were said to me You know The Sun and The Moon and The Stars up in the sky You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree You see The River and The Sea and feel The Wind that blows so free That is where and from them all you come from Our ancestors in the past walked this land and made the laws Saying all living things are all the same We may be different in many ways but we can live in harmony With all things and each other all our days You know The Sun and The Moon and The Stars up in The Sky You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree You see the River and The Sea And feel The Wind that blows so free That is where and from them all you come from That is where and from them all we come from

Does anyone have the words? I want to learn this song with my Mom. I'll write them out if not... peace to you all.
Late one night just after tea my baby boy came up to me
With his eyes shining bright he said to me
Daddy I want to know about something that bothers me
Daddy where did I come from
You know The Sun and The Moon and The Stars up in the sky
You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree
You see The River and The Sea
And feel The Wind that blows so free
That is where and from them all you come from

You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree
You see The River and The Sea
and feel The Wind that blows so free
That is where and from them all you come from
Our ancestors in the past walked this land and made the laws
Saying all living things are all the same
We may be different in many ways but we can live in harmony
With all things and each other all our days
You know The Sun and The Moon and The Stars up in The Sky
You see The Mountain and The Flowers and The Tree
You see the River and The Sea
And feel The Wind that blows so free
That is where and from them all you come from
That is where and from them all we come from
