    I have 3080 and I5-8600k playing on 2k 165hz display and medium settings, still my game drops to 120-130, is the CPU problem there?

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  Год назад

      Yes most likely, I had an i5-8400 before and while it was good back then it often reached 100% usage. With a better CPU you would likely get more FPS.

    What manufacturer is your 3080ti and what fan speed % is it running during gameplay? Asking beacuse your card is sitting around 70C while mine is pushing 80. 3080ti ftw3 ultra.

    • @Trollkonto

      It's a Palit GameRock. I haven't checked the fan speed closely but it is not running loud. If I would guess I would say it's somewhere around 60-70% when recording this.

    Hello, please tell me what is the problem. I have similar computer parts, but the fps is always around 110-120, but when I turn on AMD super resolution, the fps, on the contrary, increases to 140-150. On the farm is always in the region of 90-100. But when I change the settings from the remaster to the weakest, the fps is always no more than 150. Why such staggers?

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  2 года назад

      "AMD super resolution" or FSR 1.0 lowers the resolution and then scales it back up so you get more performance but more blurry picture. You may also need to disable vsync in BDO, you do this by going to Nvidia Control Panel and add Black Desert to the 3D applications list and set "vertical sync" to Disabled. Also make sure you run the game in fullscreen.

      I haven't looked at temps while gaming because it usually runs cool. But it reaches 79-80 degrees during Cinebench R23. I use a Corsair H115i RGB PRO XT .

      BDO love fast singlecore CPU + low latencies ram. 5800x3d is your best bet, or 5900x/5950x if you value multicore performance

      The game have a little bit of stutter when it loads new areas, even on a fast machine and that's just how the game works. However having a fast CPU and RAM helped removing almost all of the stuttering for me. Also, make sure you install the game on an SSD if you haven't already. Maybe I could help more if I knew your PC specs.

    Have you tried it with AMD FidelityFX enabled? Is it better looking in-game?

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  2 года назад

      I have, but the problem with FSR in this game is that you have to enable TAA which makes the game very blurry. Pearl Abyss did a bad job adding this feature to the game, because TAA usually looks a lot better in other games.

      @@Trollkonto have you tried it with FXAA instead TAA?

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  2 года назад

      @@infamousorca7394 You can't, selecting FSR (Fidelity FX Super Resolution) forces you to use TAA. That's why I don't use FSR in BDO

    • @infamousorca7394
      @infamousorca7394 2 года назад

      @@Trollkonto You do realize there's a trick to run AMD FidelityFX with FXAA, I've been running it on my Laptop for half a year now. Try looking at Choice's channel on how to do it. Then probably make another video of the result

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  2 года назад

      @@infamousorca7394 There may be a workaround to it but I'm not sure an FSR video will be that interesting. In the end it's basically the same as lowering the resolution performance wise, and I will just run into a CPU bottleneck instead. Right now with these settings the game is quite well balanced between CPU and GPU performance.

      @@Trollkonto I have a 3080 ti with r7 5700x, and it gives me the same problem of the gpu dropping at less than 90% use, that's why the fps drop and it gives stuttering, could you find a solution? my monitor is UQHD

    • @Trollkonto
      @Trollkonto  Год назад

      @@Oscar-cx2zc BDO can be really demanding on CPU. At 2560x1440 your GPU may be "too fast" for your CPU (depending on what graphics settings you use) and the the GPU utilization may go down because of it. However there shouldn't be much more stutter because of it. BDO stutters some when it loads new areas, characters etc. most noticeable in Cities. If you are using a Freesync/G-sync monitor you can get stutter if the FPS constantly goes in and out of the Sync-Range the monitor has. Capping the FPS a few FPS below your monitors max refresh rate may solve this (for example set a 140fps cap if you have 144Hz G-sync monitor).
      I am not sure exactly how your game behaves so I can only give general advice.
