No not really. It’s very handy for grabbing crays because you don’t have a big tank on your back. The hose gets caught on ledges but apart from that it’s really good.
It wasn’t very deep. Only about 4-8 meters. The water temperature was about 16 Celsius so not super warm. Also no sharks this time but have seen huge wobbegongs here before.
Man I miss abalone diving, our season has been shut down (California coast) for some time now, with no signs of recovery...
