- In this Mazda News Update we discuss the Mazda CX-70 and other Mazda sales results for the month of May 2024. The 2025 Mazda CX-70 has now made it to every dealer in the USA and June is CX-70 Month.
The Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-90 had their best May sales ever. The Mazda CX-50 had its best month ever with 6,307 sales in the USA.
May 2024 was the second highest total of sales in the US for the year so far, and there's a lot to be excited about moving forward in June. The 2024 Mazda CX-50 and Mazda CX-90 have low interest rates from Mazda Financial. The CX-50 could break the fresh record from May.

I've had a CX-70 Turbo S Premium (Rhodium White) in my garage since Saturday June 8th. I made the mistake of driving it while getting the CX-5 serviced. It's what I have been wanting for years now. A bigger CX-5 with a lot more cargo capacity. My wife and I are loving it so far 😁

Jonathan, I’m up in Vancouver, BC in Canada on vacay and I’ve seen a lot of CX50”s and all types of Mazdas up here. What’s even more surprising is the amount of Teslas and hybrid vehicles up here!
2:45 I disagree on the interest rate comment. You can get a much better interest rate on a new Mazda so the CPO would have to be significantly cheaper to make it worthwhile. I’d rather spend $30,000+ on a new car with 1.9% for 72 months than $20,000+ on a used car at 7% for 60 months.
💯 Made no sense to buy a CPO that was only $1500 less than the same model/trim brand new one I bought.
Absolutely. When 1.9% is available there’s no comparison. I was speaking more for 19-21 year models that are thousands less, and still have warranty compared to non CPO. It’s hard to choose a 2023 at 5-7% when a 2024 has 1.9%
One other qualifying comment that should be considered with respect to your post is based on the Amount of Cash Downpayment for a New Car vs the CPO. The Opportunity costs of that Cash should be considered as well as an "offest" to the 7% CPO Loan Interest rate (albeit with excellent credit one could get a better Used Car rate than 7%) . And the amout of Sales taxes need to be considered into the formula too. Having said that, IMO, if in fact Mazda is offering 1.9% for 72 months ..... I would tend to gravitate to that new CX-70 deal for a Premium Plus Turbo S model ( Ithink??) I'm 72, and have shopped for many cars in my lifetime. Going to a New Car dealer to look at CPOs on the lot, requires great restraint form wandering over to look at the New Models on Th Floor. It's a akin to going food shopping on an empty Stomach! They Love Impulse Buyers - they rely on that facet of Human Behavior! !

I don’t think so, since it is a ‘25 model. They are focused more on low rates on 2024 models.

I bought a used CX-30 about a month ago and it's been a sweet ride ever since. It checks a lot of boxes and is fun to drive. Perfect for my needs for the next 5+ years. I'm hoping this entire lineup is great value for years to come.
If you have any contact with Mazda, could you please request them to add a dark blue exterior/white interior option to all turbo models?
Sucks that this awesome color combination isn't available for anything above the non turbo cx5.

Do you think the 2026 Mazda CX-70 will ever shrink in size to be closer to a wide-body CX-60?
I think the 2026 CX-5 should be renamed CX-70 and the current CX-70 should become the CX-90 Sport. Ultimately, the model range should be CX-30, CX-50, CX-70, and CX-90.
Bought a 24 carbon cx5 in January. Wish i waited for the 70. stuck af😒

I'm hearing rumors that the next CX-5 update is going to resemble quite a bit of the CX-60. Really hoping that's true!

Question: is the red leather in the CX-70 the same as in the Mazda3? I am assuming no, but would like this cleared up.
Not exactly the same. It is a Nappa leather that they are equating to the 100th anniversary MX-5 more equally.

Mazdas are great cars. They're very reliable, and have a premium feel for an affordable price. They should be more popular. Kia and Hyundai are garbage, but outsell Mazda. It doesn't make any sense
Doesn’t make sense to me either. Especially with the above MSRP on most Kias.
