Sometimes I add a little nutmeg... I found a sour cream recipe that had 1/4tsp of ginger, vanilla and lemon extract... it was sooooooo good not overpowering just a hint distinctive taste 😋
Where do you live? I have never in my life seen butter cake extract. Which makes me sad. After I saw that bottle of vanilla I thought, I need to go grocery shopping in the south!😅 Your pound cake looks like heaven. It's my favorite dessert over anything else.

Another alternative to nutmeg is mace, that’s what I use in mine.
