Thanks Jacob. Tears are OK when listening to this song. Never be ashamed of tears that were generated because you care and have a heart. Sad beginning and happier ending, because 2 people had the compassion to adopt someone else’s child. God bless those special people😅.
i know how it goes, my dad had a rough childhood. His dad was abusive and split his family up when he was little. he was basically homeless and told me stories of how he slept under porchs or whereever he could find a spot, until he got taken in by foster parents and joined the army and he was able to straighten his life out
I was really surprised this hadn't been requested before its one of my three favorite songs from him. I liked it even when I was too young to understand because of the melody
My brother was made Godfather of a his girlfriend's daughter after the biological father of the girl committed suicide right after the baby was born. She's a year old now and my brother is doing a great job at raising her
John Michael Montgomery was a hit-maker in the 90s and he has a lot of great songs! My favorites of his are No Man’s Land, Friends, Be My Baby Tonight, I Swear, Life’s a Dance, I Can Love You Like That, How Was I To Know, Rope the Moon, The Little Girl, Hold On To Me, I Love The Way You Love Me, If You’ve Got Love, Long As I Live, and Oh How She Shines.
Beautiful song written by Harley Allen. You didn't mention it so I might be mistaken, but I believe that was Allison Krause singing Harmony Vocals.---#UTRCM
I'm moving from Australia to Europe (a non-EU country) to be with my Mrs and over there, you never ever hear of these things. It is such a different culture where family is really close. This whole Western culture thing just doesn't even enter people's minds over there. A few months ago, was the first time in this country's history, there a school shooting by a 14yo who killed 8 ppl and the kid rang the police and the police arrested the parents for allowing the kid access to any guns. The country had 3 days of mourning, and within days, 80,000 guns were handed in, to the govt, voluntarily. There were protests in every single city for the govt to generate more peace within the country, and promote safety etc. You never would hear of that in a Western country. Child SA, etc etc etc which is so prevalent in so-called modern Western societies just don't exist in the country I am moving to. Human trafficking, etc etc etc and all that crap just doesn't cross people's minds, or to do those sorts of things. I am so glad to be leaving Australia and once on that plane, will hardly look back. I cannot wait to leave this shit hole of a country.
I’ve heard the song hundreds of times and I tear up every single time.
Came here to say this exact thing!
