I bought this plane today and took her for a spin. My thoughts: Lovely design and exterior, and the flight model is well put together, but the interior needs a bit of TLC. Here are the issues I noted (hopefully the devs watch their plane reviews :)) 1. There is only one sunshade that is clickable, and one of the sunshades (behind the galley) does not move at all. Every sunshade should be clickable! 2. There is a bit of sun peeking into the cabin around the window sills which should be reduced (This is an issue in the HJet as well). 3. The door itself should be clickable (rather than the single control option in the cockpit). 4. The EFB needs to have more utility. For example, maybe it can be used to load baggage (which I imagine would be at the back of the cabin?) Or to populate the seats with passenger models (e.g., like the Kodiak or Cessna 414 do). 5. It might be a lot to ask, but how about working tray tables in the cabin? This is a business "jet," after all. :) FYI, I flew this in both monitor and VR, and was mostly pleased with it! Overall, I do really like this plane, but the price is high at the moment without a more upscale interior. Lionheart, please polish this beauty!
Ehhh, I wanna like it...but like you said, it's really rough around the edges. I've seen a lot worse though! I totally agree with you about the HondaJet. This could be fun, but the HondaJet just blows it out of the water.
Love your videos, thank you!👍I also bought this plane and I confirm the drop of frames (not always though) with the external view (my cpu is an I7 10700KF, Rtx 3080 and 32gb of ram at 3,200 mhz. , CL16). Anyway, I agree with you, this plane is not bad, but it looks not quite finished. The Honda Jet is much better.👋
Bought this and it's replaced the TBM 930 as my go-to! I know some people absolutely hate it, but I'm in love. If I could get a refund on the HJet, I would. But, I am looking forward to the Pilatus PC-12 that Carendo is working on.
Very interesting mix of a TBM, a V-tail Bonanza, a Piaggio Avanti, and some of the buttons and knobs from a 1996 Pontiac or Chevy. But a harder sell in 2022 with so many better polished aircraft already here or on their way.
I got the Lear Fan -- I like it. It's not perfect but it is a great niche aircraft to have. It's too bad the Lear Fan never made it into production. The composite cabin had pressurization issues and the transmission that allowed the dual t-prop engine also had issues, and the aircraft failed FAA certification. But I suspect the design would work fine today with lessons learned since working with composites and engine transmissions. I believe there is a diesel piston aircraft, the Celera 500L, similar but even sleeker than the lear fan, trying to get certified with specs similar to the Lear Fan but much better fuel economy--18 mpg at cruise they claim. If it gets certified, it would be great if someone makes it for MSFS 2020
I loved that option to quickly label all switches. There are plenty of times I would have liked something similar when I was fumbling around having ignored the manual.
@@090giver090 Yup, but I dislike tooltips getting in the way. That press a button and see everything labelled then switch it off when you found the elusive switch really appealed to me but tbh I wouldn’t use it more than a couple of times in each new plane.
Another good review. Thanks. This is an interesting design and it would be great if it was better quality. Lionheart has some interesting planes, but unfortunately I don't think they are payware worthy.
Interesting bird.. however after the dissapointment the Trinidad was from Lionhearts wich they left with plenty of bugs and freeware looking stuff with no updates anymore i would be cautions about the rest..
This is the kind of plane I would like to get because the design is amazing, but you're right, the HJet is easily a much better light private airplane. And they have a new update coming on Thursday with a long-list of fixes and changes. As was mentioned, Lionheart doesn't really update their products. I have the Trinidad, but I don't think it has every been updated. So this is a pass for me.
I like this plane, it's very unique. However, it looks like that head position in the cockpit can be annoying and fight model might be questionable. Other then that, I think i can have fun flying this one.
This plane interior looks like the interior of an Xbox would look if it could fly... Any chance for a GKS Mig21 review? I know that is expensive... 40 gold coins or something...
its so candy shiny, not a fan of this. Does not look realistic, more like a toy, not wanting to be negative but we have lots out there that are better for the same price.
Hopefully a mod will be released to tone down the candy buttons. That said, I bought this bird because a 390 kts-capable single-engine turboprop plane would be a boon to my Neofly campaign. It's literally twice as fast as my kodiak, and my Hjet is way more expensive to purchase in NF4.
Why are some aircrafts optically so distorted? A few of the released ones are much worse then all others. Something's wrong here... Independently from the zoom stage...can't view it honestly.
A lot of third-party developers really beef it with the camera presets for some reason. I wish they would all pay closer attention to the way Asobo does it with the default planes.
@@spyhardman I don’t mind when they change the positions, just don’t call it close in the camera selection menu and put it in the back of the plane lol
The problem is there aren't many images of what its cockpit should look like. That said, the few images I could find, obscured by two pilots, seem to indicate an analogue cockpit, rather than all glass.
the actual concepts may have had colorful controls, but the way they're skinned/textured in-sim makes it look like a late-90s video game. There's no sense of lighting or even textures, etc. The yokes look like they're textures from another universe.
I bought this on Xbox and got a refund as it’s really not great on Xbox. I did an IFR flight from Farnborough to Paris CDG and when you are external view fully zoomed out the plane goes hollow and you can see the ground. Frame rate was generally poor and it CTD twice. When I finally arrived on ILS approach to CDG at he frame rate dropped down to less than 5 FPS then again CTD. Personally, I do not think this plane should be available on Xbox. It also constantly overspeeds and climbs up to 130 knots on take off REALLY quickly which is completely different from your review experience. So maybe on Xbox it’s just not good.
@@taxiway207 just follow the MS process, Google refunds on marketplace and you’ll see. Need to log in on web, look at your order history and apply for the refund as long as it’s listed as eligible, usually time related. As long as MS approve the refund you get your money back. They can decline to refund in some circumstances (constant refunds, too long etc) but I got my money back for this one
I remember my dad worked on this plane way back- it was an awesome plane to see fly- you would see them both flying when we lived in Stead, Nev.
I discover your channel last week, and i love it. Great job.
Thank you!

Still popular kind of layout for attempts to get similar performance from battery powered prop planes.

Some of the autopiloting buttons, such as the altitude x-axis adjustment and others, frequently become unresponsive. Then having to restart MSFS.

Interesting. You have exactly the same choppiness i had. I just figured it was because I am in VR. OK so I am not alone in this then.
Thanks!
my guess is that happens because of 8k textures this plane is rocking. That's why IMO developers must not be too zealous about "texture quality"

The head position in the standard views are terrible on Xbox. The ‘close’ default view for landing is in the rear cabin for example…

I would certainly not trust the developer. His former “creation”, the TB21 hasn’t been updated for a long time, leaving known issues for what it is.
