I don’t. Jihoon’s dad is a prime example of many asian dads. He may understand Deaven’s pain and sympathyze with her but he won’t tell her that he trusts or supports her and just keeps it to himself. A lot of men in Korea see foreigner women as a good time (due to American media influence) and korean woman for marriage. Jihoon is an example of this kinda thinking in action and also he is a man child is another factor.
Do you think that is (fully) it though?-I mean, he wasn’t in his early 20’s and a lot of men (even when from the same country) don’t stick around that long in online chatting/dating without plans to connect pretty soon and from my memory didn’t they talk like this for months before formal plans were thought of or brought up to be made?
Not only that but I get the vibe that Jihoon has some insecurity and in my POV (I could of course be totally wrong) it almost feels like he didn’t think she would be interested in him enough (especially after “accidentally” getting pregnant) to pick up her whole life and move there-particularly with his age (not old but in a typically different point of life compared to her age in many peoples perspective), lack of career, average looks (to some), lack of finances and stability etc-meanwhile, she was constantly brought up by people mentioning how beautiful she was and people telling him how lucky he was that she was interested in him and she was younger.
I’d be insecure too and be expected to be dropped in his place if I had been him, but that’s just me and again I could totally be wrong-after all, we are only the youtube comments 😭😂

Korean guys like to be seen and wanna sleep with a foreigner (esp white) cuz it’s a status symbol and ego boost to be approved of by a white woman, but at the end of the day only a korean woman would understand him due to being of the same culture, ethnicity, and it’s what they perceived to be the norm.
And Jihoon doesn’t look like he has a plan for anything he just wanted to check off sleeping with a white woman off his bucket list (it’s a trend amongst korean men) and then made an opsie and tried to make it workout failed.

I really don’t think he tried to scam her, he was just extremely childish and stupid to not be considering that he needs to be taking care of someone other than himself. He’s learning, the baby is here and he’s trying.... at least give him a fair chance without every single day bringing up what he did in the past. I dont think getting pregnant was her fault, both of them contributed to this situation. She gave him a chance to be a family, so she moved to have a life with him. In return there has to be equal effort to help raise a family, it seems like she's the only one who's making an effort.
