But if she tries and you resist, well that's you putting your head in the lion's mouth for both criminal and civil law. If it is these fellas on the site, well they did right enough. They didn't take CJ away and break his legs. They just did what they needed to get him off site. The verbals don't matter any apart from when CJ says he will defend himself. Then it matters where he is. If he is still on the site he's in the wrong with the law. If he is away on the public footpath or highway outside the site he may defend himself if reasonable in the circumstances. Given what happened up to that point though the law would not be super keen on taking his side unless the fellas did something grossly disproportionate. Does CJ have any legal claim over any of this? No. He chanced his arm going where he knew he may be trespassing and told to leave. He did not leave immediately and without fuss when he was told to leave. The force used to remove him was obviously reasonable in the circumstances. He has no potential claim for anything here. The other side have no reason to bother the courts either. CJ was removed and none of the fellas on site were injured by him. He did not damage any property, and he did go away and leave them in peace in the end.
