UK Big Brother House 2023 Security Try To Intimidate Drone Operator / Citizen Journalist 🎥🛸❌

- Today we take a look at Garden Studios, 21 Waxlow Rd, London NW10 7NU.
This is the location of the Big Brother UK House 2023 which is actually just a normal commercial warehouse building with the garden being in the goods in/out yard.
We speak to many to many people including "Big Wig" (term used in the show) Tamsin Creative Director for Big Brother herself.
SRM Security disappointed me whilst creating this video, which is a great shame, as Big Brother will attract many citizen journalists / content creators to this location which is a council maintained road for us all to use and enjoy.

These film crews are always such an entitled bunch of tossers. They want to curtail everyone else's rights rather than work correctly within the parameters of the law. If they want privacy then they need to make it, not try to intimidate others out of their freedoms. Excellent work DJ.

Yes, and even a mention on GMTV this morning, if slightly skewed. They made it sound like a mischievous drone operator was just trying to film the housemates in 'the garden'. Usual 'adjusted reality' of a news service. If they lie about that then why believe anything they say?
Just noticed something 12.12 foot path closed , there is a major problem there , by law they have to put temporary ramps at kerb also they have to cone off a safe walkway minimum 700 mm wide for wheelchairs as they are forcing people to walk in the road
12.30 they have built a ramp at the kerb for there staff , double standards?
And give 3weeks notice of closure, unless an emergency.
As a wheelchair user who’s dealt with local issues with pavements, drop kerbs and ramp access for road works and other accessible spaces in my area you are absolutely right, that is a legal requirement, again it shows how these companies don’t care and cut corners in the hope no one will notice or complain, until there’s a lawsuit from someone whose fallen off the curb or been hit by a vehicle who didn’t see them 🤷🏻♀️

I have done an SIA course and they don’t teach you things like rights on filing etc because they don’t expect some bellend throwing his weight around for his you tube channel.
They focus on important things like keeping people safe.
The course is about 4 days long and when they tell you you need to display your licence at all times they tell you once at some point and it probably gets lost in the mountain of information you have to remember.
You think any of these security guards get in trouble for not having it on display 😂😂😂

Got to love it when media companies complain about members of the public creating media.
They are correct to be worried about drones filming their stuff. But not to send a bully to make law abiding people go away. They acted like this is completely unexpected, when they should already have plans to deal with this graciously. Considering the popularity factor this could have already happened with someone way less professional than DJ. Or even a malicious kind of clout chaser or troll.
Working for an intrusive tv company and demanding privacy is nuts. So her extensive knowledge of privacy laws taught her nothing.
It's amazing how nice and polite these people are when they want something from you, compared to how aggressive and belligerent they otherwise are.

And yet the PR tart _still_ had to try and flex with "I know a lot about privacy laws". Turns out not so much, eh?
Both ways in all reality.
Yes, the guy filming is a great example
You should have referred them to their OWN sign which they had on the gate that says that there is a chance that visitors may end up being filmed and their images used etc - somewhat ironic that they warn people that it may happen to them and it's ok for them to use those peoples images in social media etc, but when you do it they react like that!
Great point. 💚
You realise that sign means for visitors who are audience for either the main show or the later live. That’s really not complicated to work that one out 😑

@@DJAUDITS is it complicated to realise I was talking about the sign on the gate that was mentioned???🙄

To be fair to the security guard who came close to assaulting you, he probably really doesn’t know that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place since Im guessing he was only on day release from the local prison.
Under signing and guarding regulations where a footpath is closed and pedestrians are required to walk around the cordoned area onto a road, there is a requirement when entering a road to provide a footpath barrier to protect against accidents between vehicles and pedestrians.
Yep, we have those kinds of regulations in my country too. When there is work being done on the sidewalk, pipes are being dug out or tiles relaid of whatever, they always place the protective railing out into the street so that you can go there because the sidewalk is obstructed, sometimes bikes and pedestrians have to share that path due to their operation crossing both the sidewalk and the biking path which is then indicated by a sign that shows this. I think it's a good system, it works, we all just have to abide by that stuff for the purpose of being considerate to each other and to avoid harm.
Shows who they are. Only interested in protecting the shed.

If you're young and single door work is great, although I highly recommend not taking anyone home from a club, it's a very bad idea, but get people's numbers for sure.
If you're settled down, security guard work is the easiest job in the world.
Avoid retail security though, bad pay and actually quite dangerous.
@@DystopianArchive that’s really helpful, thanks. Good to see someone passionate about their work👍
one half of me would love to pick up a camera and go audit places, the other half gets mad and starts shouting at my computer screen when these idiots talk nonsense, keep up the amazing work DJ!
Why does an industry who project images feel they are more entitled to privacy that we're not? They've not really thought this through if the drone upsets them.....build their studio indoors perhaps? I'd have been suprised if anyone hadn't been shocked by DJs audacity to film what he's legally allowed to do! Funny how all the conversations took place on a public pavement! Security out of line just for a change. Laughing at "security breach"...smacks of self importance because they're making a TV show.
Next series of Big Brother wont have a garden now lol
@@hustysemporium6359 or they'll just spend a few quid (as they should have done) on an opaque or frosted translucent roof to create the privacy they want.
Why don't firms employ security fluent in English who know the laws?
Very embarrassing for big brother and credit to you for acting so professionally DJ 👍
Plenty of foreign thick mugs doing the job ,most people prefer them to have no personality, but can't do the job at all .been in security 15 years ,it's absolutely ridiculous.
Well done DJ. Some excellent video shots there and the quality is unbelievable on DAVID. That teletubby security guard was just a bully but you handled them well. The ladies at the end were nice especially the lady that looks after the programme - very polite. Did the other lady mention she is head of press at all?? lol . Thanks DJ
This video has to be in the top ten, not only because of the high profile event where you have filmed, but how they have behaved, how insecure their processes are for such a high profile event, yet they blame you. You bringing out your ace card, the walkie talkie being the best part, well done for finding.
Mind-boggling that a TV studio handled this worse than the average industrial unit.
Is it a bit ironic when people who are part of a TV program are afraid of being filmed?
There’s a difference between being filmed without permission and being filmed on a show you’ve applied to be on 🙃
_"If you are in [sic] a public footpath, you are not allowed to be zooming people, get me ? You can't be zooming me."_
To be fair, that's word for word what's written in the Public Order Act.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡
😂😂😂
😆🤣😆🤣😆
Oh you are awful, but I like you 😊😊
I don't usually comment on your videos but i just had to say, you really showed those guys who was in control of the situation. Well done.
Well done on how you handled that dj. Back in the 90s and 00s I worked as photographer, including at entertainment and big sporting venues, and security at times behaved less than ideal. It's a different world now and you'd think they'd have learned that you can't or at least shouldn't be able to get away with it anymore. Anyway I really enjoyed this video, you are to be congratulated for putting them in their place 👏
Definitely one of his best so far
From intimidation tactics to guilt tripping and emotional speeches. 10/10 audit, 1/10 place 😂
More people watch DJ than watch that big brother rubbish..👍🏻
"reality show", my bottom
Especially now I bet it will be all woke!
I do like these studio/set audits. The film and media industry trying to control a situation they have no control over is great entertainment.
Far more entertaining than the crappy programmes they produce.
Infinitely. @@Chingloves
I can’t stop laughing at the way you turned the tables on that SRM guy. He was close to tears a few times there 😂
Thanks DJ. That was far better than the show itself! It certainly had more “reality” in it! We’ll. done! 👍
These foreigners hired by security a lot of times are totally ignorant of the laws including displaying their license. Security is trained poorly and given a bunch of misinformation. That passive aggressive guy during the drone was rude. In the United States, drones flying around the Big Brother Studios all the time.
That's why they hire them. They hate Britain and they hate the British public. They particularly hate our laws and traditions.
@@meneurdujeu They have quotas. They pretend not to, but this is an open lie. They all have a "diversity and inclusion" statement.
I agree that security are very poorly trained, but it's not only foreigners who don't know the law, there are plenty of English people on this video.
What is your point?
@@sammorton-iq8hg It's the overwhelming majority ehoanrw foreigners. See any video of any migrant hotel. 100% foreigners.
@@meneurdujeu See literally any video of any migrant hotel.
The overwhelming majority of job centres too.
I love how most security personnel minds turns to putty before dribbling out of their faces as their souls, confidence and manners dissolve out of existence.
What the f are you on ?
@@christopherwhittaker2620 Have you not seen the video you're commenting under?
Fairplay to DJ he has balls of steel to say to these big bully’s come any closer il defend myself as they love taking their jobs too seriously and love putting hands on the public
Why do security think they have authority off site. If they don't want to be filmed choose a site in a non fly zone.
You have to laugh at the irony , a studio that films and intrudes on peoples every moment , objecting to somebody filming their building .
As a security guard myself i cannot understand why filming in public being perfectly legal and flying drones being lega due to companies not owning the airspace is not covered in any of the SIA training courses. For the amount the courses cost, it really should be covered
Because the SIA is regulatory only. They only ensure operatives are vetted and licenced. There are so many categories that have different skill sets. It is down to employers to ensure their operatives understand the law and responsibility of the role they are deployed to do. Unfortunately a lot of companies just employ operatives and throw them out to tick a box, until something goes wrong, then the operative gets fired for gross negligence, when its the employer who should be help to account.
The company does own the airspace - i can understand why people dont understand that
@@ThomasTelford-n9nThey own it but don’t regulate it. The FFA do. Hence planes don’t need to ask permission to flyover.
@@FateBoost Hahaha no they dont please dont watch too many auditors
@@ThomasTelford-n9n Ultimately the worst they can do is try and peruse you civilly for trespass. Which will typically result in no more than an injunction saying you may not visit that location again and if you do then it’s a criminal offence.
I work in TV and Film in Ireland. We couldn't care less who wants to film anything. I may not understand why anyone is bothered doing this, but its their life, its public space and its their time. No issue film away. Security in the UK appears to be very heavy handed.
@glennefox i am itish you should do a factual honest non left wing non woke non bull crap film on corrupt vile Ireland
@@vibrationsofhealinglove Unfortunately I’m not a film maker. I’m only a Joe blogs.
Excellent choice made sir, considering the events that happened the company should have to search for the video on line. You gave them every opportunity to behave themselves and they chose the wrong path. They should be thanking you for pointing out the pitfalls in their security i.e. radio traffic on public frequencies. Stay safe DJ and thanks for the look at how things are in the UK. Cheers from Canada
The whole experience is broadcasted and advertised all over the television and social media, yet you turn up outside with a camera, and then all of a sudden, the whole thing is shrouded with suspicion, paranoia and secrecy by all those involved. Quite sad, yet entertaining at the same time. Great video DJ 👍
To be fair they can control all of that except for what he does.
@isyt1 oh yeah, control.
Because its a security risk you muppet
Good points.. funny perspective really..
Old Media vs New Media how one man with a camera is able to intimidate a massive organisation whilst at the same time providing more entertainment than their entire output.
Lock down because you had a camera what is the world coming to totally over the top . Well done DJ for standing up for your rights 👏
Drones can carry stuff, could have been a danger to people for all they know. There are crazy people out there that might intend to do harm, or plant something like a hidden mic, while lying about their intentions.
@@ThereminHeroRight. This is insane how many people here are blindly following and supporting this guy. Of course they're not going to allow this, they're not mind readers and they don't know what he's truly up to. This guy knew full well what the deal was and was looking to egg on a confrontation while only seeming passive but saying and doing things meant to make an issue. Pure example of passive aggressiveness.
@@Liverpool5095 If you dont like it then go to your local council and petition to implement new laws. There are literally publically open meetings citicenz can attend and input their wishes an with enough people you could get laws pushed towards parliment. But no you just blame and shoot the messenger instead of doing anything about it yourselves
I've had people treat me like shit in person, and you know what? There was fuck all i could do about it, because there's no law against people talking to you like you're a bit of shit on their shoe. I could retaliate but where would that get me? Unless there's a law in place to stop things you dont like, you can either cry about it or go try and get laws implemented. Lmfao, dramatic fail - you can't film me ha ha, what in public. Great channel I just stumbled on, liked and subscribed cheers
We are Big Brother - we don't want to be captured on camera. Feckin HILARIOUS!
Great snapshot of a live TV production, very insightful, thank you DJ.
Surely this would be a fantastic venue to audit for similar enthusiasts?
Just imagine the chaos if the production team responded, like they did with you, every time a content creator arrived and went about their (lawful) activity...
I do hope this has inspired people to visit.
Thanks again DJ, keep up the good work. 🎯
Elstree springs to mind
I think the SIA need to call in all approved people and retrain them, this lot have no idea of the law and this guy telling you that you can't record should have his license revoked.
And bearded bloke, what a numpty.
brilliant , learnt more from you about our rights than i have in my 38 years. You're very brave buddy. Love Natasha from Bellshill ( near Glasgow area ) Scotland born in lancaster though X
A program named Big Brother which is about watching people with cameras, complaining about being watched with cameras ………..brilliant stuff DJ. Absolutely brilliant.
Well big brother is about the public watching them ect, they’ve signed up for that. But they didn’t sign for some random bloke filming them - put it this way: Imagine a complete stranger filming you?? Would you allow that?
@VortexHD21 I’m not on about the guards - I’m about the housemates. Imagine you’re eating your dinner and some drone is filming you? Who knows where that footage is gonna go?
Answer my question if some random bloke was filming you would you be happy? It’s an easy question to answer
@VortexHD21 of course the guards are in a public place, security guards don’t like being filmed because half the time they’re not doing their job properly and often treating people like garage. They hate cameras because it get them in trouble.
The house mates are different while that is not there home normally, it is there home for the next 6 weeks. Yes they are on telly being filmed but they’ve signed up for that. But not some weird guy filming from a drone - what if one of them were in the shower ect, there’s different elements to why it’s not okay to just film people when they’re in a house
Ridiculous staff from top to bottom. BB must have a pitiful budget if that is the best they can turn out. Great visit DJ.
