YOU are an amazing teacher. You also helped me survive a very horrific time in my life. 3 years ago, I could not walk, and I lost my job because of it. I was in so much pain, I could not sleep. God sent you to me, and I am so grateful. I was never able to return back to work, I am a RN., not able to physical work again. I have made all of your animals for my grandchildren, and donated many of them. God Bless for the gift you gave me.
Sharon what a pleasure to follow your tutorials. You are truly one of the best teachers. Even a child is able to follow you. Thank you so much. I have been crocheting since a child. And at 80 have learnt so much from you. ❤
I can't thank you enough. This is my very FIRST time crocheting and I am on row 9 of head. I practiced the first several rows over and over until I got it. I only see where I did it looser on one part. You are a wonderful teacher and I thank you for your gift to the world. You put a lot of hard work and patience into everything. Hugs
This will always be my favorite pattern because it is the first of yours I did... and I've made 14 thus far. Last night I started #15. My great granddaughter Karis got six in colors to match her blanket. Now her brother, due June 7th is getting one to match HIS blanket. The other critters (all Wee Bits) are 'father & son" pairs of bunny, bear, fox, & likely frog. If it were not for your wonderful patterns, I'd be lost... One of these days I shall make my fav... Darcy! to sit on my bed. It is wonderful to be so busy at my age ... which is the same as your dad's. Get well, and stay well... Luv U a Bunch!
I made my first stuff toy from this video. I love that you are straight to the point with instruction and demonstration. I feel like this body pattern is so versatile. My son didn't want the animal so I simply inverted the feet without stuffing them. It ended up being able to stand and looks like a shoe. So cute in time for holidays/birthdays.
Wow Sharon! Your videos never get old. They are always an inspiration. Such great teaching. One really feels so comfortable following your instructions. I'm 60 now. When I'm 90 I'll still will be returning to your video training. thanks for all the hard work in making these wonderful instructional videos for all of your followers. :)
You are just so amazing! Thank you so much for your tutorials! They have been a big help! I have always liked to crochet but I only knew how to make hats and scarfs and because I live in mostly warm weather I never wear anything I make. But then I finally stumbled upon your tutorials and saw that there was more to crocheting than just hats, scarfs, and blankets. Thank you for you amazing tutorials you make them really easy to follow. You got me crocheting again! Thank you!
As I watch your videos over and over, learning so much, I keep thinking that your technique is amazing! Just when I start to think, "hmm, why is she doing it that way-that's not going to work" then waalaa….it looks perfect! Thank you for sharing your talent with us Sharon. You're a Godsend to people who need a visual "walk-thru" when learning to crochet. God bless!
I've been so intimidated by amigurumi, but you have made it completely accessible with your wonderfully clear instructions. Thank you so much for taking this time to share your talent!
Right now I am almost done with the head, did the filling, about to start the torso. Yet, I just NEEEEED to give you a thumbs up for this tutorial right now. I felt comfortable with it the whole time up to now and I will keep going - I know two sweet little sisters who will adore their plushies once I'm finished (and I know that I will make a third one for myself too). Thanks for a GREAT tutorial, Sharon!!!! PS: For all the German viewers like me. I used "Schachenmeyr original Bravo" 3 - light with a 3mm hook. Works just fine.
Thank you very much for the detailed video. I am a beginner. A lot of care has been taken to explain each and every minute of detail. It's very clear and precise. Your voice is calm and you don't hurry too fast. You are a wonderful instructor! Thank you so much for sharing!! I have just subscribed! Linda from NJ, USA. 😀🌺
Hi Sharon - A friend passed this pattern on to me on a well used piece of paper, she made it for her son when he was a little one (he’s just started high school and told me he loved his little toy monkey for years ❤️) and she’d saved the pattern and shared it with other people over the years. The one I’m making will go along with a baby blanket and beanie as a donation. Your pattern is so well written and easy to follow - and having a video tutorial to help with the exact positioning of the parts when I was joining was very helpful. So I wanted to say thanks so much, you created a fantastic pattern and shared it for free, and it’s being used even more than you might guess, being passed around between friends and enjoyed by lots of kids. Thank you so much 😊 Wheelie x
Thank you! your explanations were so thorough and i could understand what you were saying. Most videos of people crocheting i cannot hear or understand them. so great job!
This is the best tutorial I have found! I just started making amigurumi animals and love it. Your explanation on sewing the pieces together is wonderful! Wish I had watched yours when I first started! Thank you! I will be watching more of your videos!
I just wanted to say that I love this tutorial. This is the most helpful and the best tutorial I have seen in a long time. Your voice is calm and so relaxing and you explain everything so well. Great video quality as well.
I made the bigfoot elephant first my granddaughter loves it. Was my first project now am finishing the monkey. Thanks for your awesome videos for us beginners
Hi Sharon, Thank you so much for this tutorial. Many years ago I made several large crocheted Paddington Bears. Watching you, brought everything back to me. I’m going to make this monkey into a Sock Monkey. THANK YOU SO MUCH 🐵🐵🐵
I had so much fun making these for my family's new additions. instead of using stuffing I used excess yarn scraps. I cut each piece into 1/4 inch lengths and it worked fantastic. Your video is easy to follow along and the monkey turned out very cute. I made a slight adjustment to the eyes since these are going to children under 6 months. Instead of adding buttons I used black yarn for my magic circle. Single crocheted 4. Switched to the color I wanted the eyes to be in this case it was blue closed the magic circle and single crocheted twice in each stitch around. Then switched colors again to white and single crocheted once in each stitch.
Thank you so much Sharon! You are wonderful! I knitted the monkey and it was so easy and clear to understand each step! My second grandson will love it! Thanks again!
I'm new to amigurumi but not to crochet. Your very detailed in your video & tutorials. So easy to follow. I made your sitting 🐻. I made mistake of not using a smaller hook & stuffing showing. But it still looks ok. I'm trying the monkey next. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Hi there i'm a very new learner and i have watched some of your videos, they are very easy to follow and i just love the animals! ty so much for teaching so well, i shall be trying to keep up xx
Thank you so much. I am relatively new to crocheting and I was able to follow this tutorial easily. You are an amazing teacher. This will make an amazing gift.
Thank you very much for the detailed video. It is very easy to follow for the beginner. Lot of care has been taken to explain each and every minute detail. Its very clear and precise. Thanks a lot for sharing it.
Thank you so much for a detailed video to make this adorable little monkey! This is my first attempt to make a stuffy and you've given me all the tools and knowledge to do it! Thank you again!
Omg!! You were amazing. You really made it easy to follow and with great instructions. The video was very helpful with the little captions in the right corner. Loved how you went through each row explaining. Great job and keep it up.
I want to thank u Sharon so much for this easy to follow video. I am almost finish with making my first bigfoot monkey!! All I have to do now is sew the body parts together. I love your video , do not understand English, but as you note the steps I could use the translator and see you making easier ... I watch all your videos and perform all work ... thank you for your dedication ... kisses.
+Juliana Guedes thank you for the kind words. There is also a written pattern on my blog. And a translation tool on my blog. The link to the pattern is in the description box of the video
Hi Sharon I wrote a comment to you on the little Bigfoot elephant well I decided in the middle of doing the elephant I decided I wanted to do the monkey . I finished one and omg ! I love it s so cute ,it's not perfect but I love it. Again , your tutorials are so easy to follow but I had a hell of a time with some of the sewing, I wasn't getting the ears( I did big ears) and the legs but I managed . Going to try another one ! Than you again Dawn
Thanks for the Video you have such a brilliant talent. It was sooo beautifully explained and shown step by step, close up videos of how to do each stitch and category. I Loved it so much and understood very well better then the other videos I had seen for other Amigurumi animals. You do such a good job. The animals are also very cute on your videos. Even your speed of speaking and doing the stitches are at a good speed ( not too fast or slow). Keep up the good work. Thanks again for such a good work.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your patterns are so easy to follow and the videos are great for when I get stuck. But most of all explaining very clearly how to sew on the amigurmi body parts! I have been making amigurmi pets for my grandbabies and have struggled with them. But not anymore! Thank you!
This is the most wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much. You tell it clear and every step and why you do what you do. For me that is very important. I have made bunnies before but there weren't any instructions on attaching the parts. (From someone else's video) Your tutorial is the greatest. Your little monkeys are soooo adorable. I have been subscribed to you for awhile so I don't know how I missed your monkeys. Many, many thanks. Keep up the good work and God Bless.
This is a wonderful video. Instructions are precise and very clear. Thank you so much. I have made many monkeys for friends babies but this is the first time I watched your video. You have simplified the process and made it more fun. Donna
I have commented on another video, but I wanted to tell you again I LOVE YOU!! Your videos are easy to follow your voice does not hurt my head, and the animals are sooo cute! Can I request you do a puppy?? I searched your site but couldn't find one so I had to use a different person but if you do a dog I will do it again!

Hello im trying to learn to make these cute animals. I can assure you your tutorials are fantastic. Thank you very much. You got a new fan from Madrid and congratulations on your great work. I will try right away.
I didn’t watch the video, I went to the written pattern and I’m going to be making more of these adorable little cuties,, very well written super easy to follow
Thank You very much for such a good job, you explain excellently and I cant wait to make one foe my grand-son.Thank you again s for sharing your beautiful work (y).
I've made three of these so far! I keep getting requests for more! Making the parts is easy...I have the most trouble sewing them all together, but I do it :) For the eyes on my third monkey, I use the safety eyes and I just put the back on it and sewed the eye patch on around the backing. It worked fine.

I no longer have the squeaky yarn issue, but thank you for the tip! I use a fan to keep my hands cool if I'm crocheting in warmer weather. This video is SO old lol ugh.. drives me crazy knowing there's squeaks in the video. I hope to re-film the video one day.
Thank you so much for the tutes and sharing. Very clear and many tips from you on how to sew in the body parts. I am inspired to make them. Cheers. Kerry
I love how you explain everything, I have never done crochet before, but you make it look so easy!!! I can't wait to get the tools and try it out, could you make a little big foot Elmo or Cookie Monster from Sesame Street?? That would be awesome...
My daughter and I love monkeys. I've been crocheting since I was lil. Just blankets and scarfs and hats. Can't wait to try this lil guy out.. Gonna make one for my daughter and one for myself :D Love this video
hello :D many many thanks for sharing your lovely videos, you are a great teacher, I am a beginner and thanks to you I am now enjoying the world of amigurumi :D. I will post a picture on your wall of the mobile im working on for my baby who is due in june xx
Hi Sharon, your patterns and creations are just beautiful! I just had a little question about the orange monkey... on what row do you put the eyes and how far apart? I have finished the head and then realized perhaps I need to put the eyes in before I stuff the head. Thank you so much! Renée
Hi Sharon, love your projects! Wondering if you could do a video on how to make little bananas for the monkeys? I’ve made the bunnies and loved making the carrots. Thanks!
At 30:16, you need to mention that you switch direction after the slip stitch. I noticed that you were working in the opposite direction than me, half way through the 1st arm and saw where you switched while making the 2nd arm. Makes it much easier to work. Was I supposed to know that? I'm still a pretty basic crocheter.
no, If I switched direction I would have mentioned that I did, that would be a pretty important thing to leave out. I just watched the time you mention and I do not switch direction. I'm always working in one direction from the start to the finish. It looks like I edited out something, probably the phone ringing or something (video is 2yrs old, so don't remember) and that caused it to jump a little but same direction as it was before the sl st.
Thank you, Sharon, you have the most wonderful tutorials and patterns. My muzzle on the monkey isn't right, when I come down the opposite side of the chain and am crocheting through just one loop I get gaps. I'm going to try again to see if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. I picked up even more tips from your tutorial. Dorothy
Just want to thank you Sharon for a really fantastic tutorial! I never thought I could do this type of project. Following along with you made it easy (well almost) lol. Again, thanks so much ~ I really enjoyed the whole experience!
I love the look of this one but I need it to be roughly the size of a newborn. I am taking a few of my nephews footie onesies that he has just grown out of (even though he is only 2 weeks holy cow) and making stuffed animals. All I need is the head and hands because the body and feet are the onesie! Can't decide if I will add the tail but do you have any idea how to make this bigger to fit?
i love this tutorial, you’re so great at explaining things and it was soooo easy to make, i made a pink one for my friend and i’m going to make more asap, thank you!
+sharon ojala thank you for making your videos. This was very easy to follow. My little one just loves this monkey. I am wondering have you ever done a Cow pattern or video? I would love to make one for my Gram this Christmas. :-)
I congratulate you for such a good job, you explain excellently though I do not speak English, I did step by step how you did it and I was fine it off, thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I just started crocheting this and noticed that you said for the big ears you glue the wrong sides together. I was wondering for the body and head piece how you manage to have the right side out? After I make the the magic circle I eventually have to flip my piece so the needle goes for the outside in.
Take care and keep the spirit ❤
That is a wonderful testimony 🙏 Hope you continue findind comfort in crocheting ❤
Sharon what a pleasure to follow your tutorials. You are truly one of the best teachers. Even a child is able to follow you. Thank you so much. I have been crocheting since a child. And at 80 have learnt so much from you. ❤
I don’t think so and I am 12
I love your patterns. I have just finished a Big Foot Monkey & he turned out soo cute! Thanx again, Sharon. 😊
Sharon, you are an excellent instructor! Thank you for teaching me a neater way to sew on the pieces! They are all so adorable!
I'm 60 now. Thank you so much for this pattern and video. I learned lots of different ways of doing things, and also learned how to make a magic circle, which I thought I'd never learn!
Quiero aclarar que no se Ingles, pero la demostración esta tan bien hecha, que lo puedes entender muy bien. "Un gesto vale por mil palabras".
I am so glad to know that! Thank you very much :)

Your toys have such a lovely presence. ;)
Thank you Sharon for your very clear and details instruction. 😊
I love it! Your instructions are so easy to follow. Great gratitude
You’re so good at this!! I’m a beginner and i understood everything!! Thank you!👍

Tak pięknie Pani tłumaczy, że zrobiłam małpkę nie znając języka. Dziękuję :)
Hi Sharon, just a quick handy tip. Put some talcum powder on your hands that help with the wool squeeking on your hook.
You are the best one to explain. I love your work a lot.Thank you
I look forward to trying i& seeing what other animals, patterns you come up with.
You're a great instructor ... the hardest part was attaching all of the parts. Don't think I'll make another one ... it is a lot of work😨
My daughter and I love monkeys. I've been crocheting since I was lil. Just blankets and scarfs and hats. Can't wait to try this lil guy out.. Gonna make one for my daughter and one for myself :D
Love this video
Thanks i going to start this hobby I have never crocheted anything in my life but I'm understanding it now and it seems so simple

thank you for the kind compliments, I appreciate that :)
I can't wait to see your photos. Have fun!
Hi Sharon, your patterns and creations are just beautiful! I just had a little question about the orange monkey... on what row do you put the eyes and how far apart? I have finished the head and then realized perhaps I need to put the eyes in before I stuff the head. Thank you so much! Renée
I put them in between the 9th and 10th row with 3 visible stitches between them. Thanks for asking :)

I end up working from the inside. I'll have to adjust. Thanks for responding.
Roswitha Adami Hallo Sharon.Ich möchte mich herzlich bedanken,für ihre tollen Anleitungen.Ich habe schon sehr viel von ihnen gelernt! Thank you!
Dorothy
I finally got the muzzle looking good. Changing the yarn made a big difference.
I loved making this so much. Your instructions were amazing and so well done. Thank you ❤️😍
Just want to thank you Sharon for a really fantastic tutorial!
I use red heart super saver and a 5.50mm hook. It still came out very cute!! Love you soooo much!!!😃😃😃😃😃
i love this tutorial, you’re so great at explaining things and it was soooo easy to make, i made a pink one for my friend and i’m going to make more asap, thank you!
I made a pink monkey from your pattern! I love it! But I'm not sure how to share a pic with you!
Wish we could send her some pics

+sharon ojala thank you for making your videos. This was very easy to follow. My little one just loves this monkey. I am wondering have you ever done a Cow pattern or video? I would love to make one for my Gram this Christmas. :-)
+Jess Bellows I haven't yet, sorry. But thanks for the kind words.
I congratulate you for such a good job, you explain excellently though I do not speak English, I did step by step how you did it and I was fine it off, thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
I'm so glad to know the video was helpful, thank you :)
elizabeth guerrero vc é do brasil ?
I love the way u explain and it’s cute monkeys thank u I am going to do it for my grandchildren
I just started crocheting this and noticed that you said for the big ears you glue the wrong sides together. I was wondering for the body and head piece how you manage to have the right side out? After I make the the magic circle I eventually have to flip my piece so the needle goes for the outside in.
Is there another method I could use to make the mouth? I don’t have an embroidery needle on hand
